Season 1 Episode Guide
Episode 1 - The Big Hair Switch 360Alvin Ackerman is a science whiz on the path to success with the help of his trusted protégé and pint-sized girl neighbor, Howie. But his life is about to be turned upside down when his family decides to house young snowboarding sensation, Max Asher, while he trains for the Winter Cup. Turns out Max and Alvin are polar opposites! And having to share a room, life and family with Max proves trying for Alvin. But when a case of mistaken identity lands Alvin in Max’s shoes at the top of a mountain, he has to pull it together and not ruin his new roommate’s career. Meanwhile, with the help of Howie, Max finds himself having to fill Alvin’s shoes at the school Science Fair! With both boys completely out of their element, they quickly discover a new appreciation for one another. And when Alvin impresses Max with his impromptu moves on the slopes, Max gives him a sweet new nickname - Shred. They may have had a rough start, but Max and Shred are quickly learning what it means to have a bro.

Episode 2 - The 1080 Room TwistSharing a room is tough. But it’s even more difficult when you’ve just met your roommate and have almost nothing in common with them. Max and Shred are quickly discovering that sharing a space isn’t working. Luckily, Alvin’s dad Lloyd, reveals that he has a secret den in the house where he’s been writing his novel. The boys along with Shred’s older sister Abby all jump at the possibility of having a new bedroom - No more sharing! The parents don’t want any part of it though… so how will they decide who gets it? When “firsties” doesn’t work out, Howie suggests “lasties” – the last one to leave the room, wins it. The battle is on as the kids push one another to the limit to claim the den as their own. Abby is the first to break and decides her energies are better spent helping Lloyd finish his young adult novel. But Max and Alvin keep each other up all night, trying to find the other’s weakness. Only after a sleepless night and slapstick fight do the boys make the realization that it doesn’t matter who wins the den. Either way, they’ll each have their own bedroom in the end! Too bad Lloyd has decided to get back to work on his novel - he’s not giving the den up anymore! But after a night of bonding while trapped in the den together, the boys realize that sharing a room isn’t so bad after all.

Episode 3 - The Lien Air Love TriangleWhen a cute new girl at school catches Max and Alvin’s attention, they both decide to ask her out… but have very different ways of going about it.

Episode 4 - The Frontside Hero SlideWhen Alvin prepares to win an invite to a gathering of elite scientists, his nemesis Wendy Chong dupes Max and sabotages Alvin’s invention, costing him his spot. Determined to make it up to Alvin, Max sets out to sneak them into the party so Alvin can meet his scientist hero, Carl DeLawn Lewis.

Episode 5 - The Switch Shifty Birthday PartyAfter Max ignores Alvin’s warnings, and opens his top-secret box, he reveals a secret that Alvin has kept buried since Abby’s ninth birthday, the shampoo that scarred her from ever celebrating a birthday again. With Abby furious, the boys have to think fast and make up for the six years of birthdays Abby has missed.

Episode 6 - The Nose Bonk NemesisMax has a tournament coming up and is shocked to find out Abby is dating his Finnish snowboarding nemesis, Yuud Nuuderuud! When Max claims it’s all a ploy to ruin him before the tournament, Alvin is torn between sticking with his bro, or trusting his sister.

Episode 7 - The Luntstall Auction FlailAfter Abby accidently auctions off Max’s lucky snowboard at a charity event, Max goes into panic mode. With a tournament coming up, Alvin has to convince Max that superstitions aren’t real and he can win with any snowboard… or can he?

Episode 8 - The Snow Day Variety MethodWhen a snow day strikes, Max wishes Alvin would stop studying and just enjoy it. But when the family becomes trapped inside and Lloyd threatens to put on his embarrassing “Ackerman Family Snow Show Variety Hour”, Alvin has find a way to find a way out!

Episode 9 - The Nose Butter Brain FreezeMax gets a job at The Yogurt Yeti with Alvin, and the two boys have very different attitudes towards working. This spurs a contest between the boys to see who can make the best Fro-Yo flavor ever!

Episode 10 - The Ctrl-Alt-Shifty Laptop BurnWhen Alvin gets jealous over Max’s numerous endorsement deals, Abby gets him a deal to endorse a dream laptop that turns out to be a lemon. Meanwhile, Howie designs a new aerodynamic snowboarding suit for Max. The suit is amazing, but Max quickly realizes he’s can’t get out of it!

Episode 11 - The Half-Cab Robot Baby BonkWhen the boys have trouble working together in class, their teacher assigns them a robotic training baby to care for – together! But their differing parenting styles, along with Abby’s interference, threatens their grade.

Episode 12 - The Stalefish Double FlipAlvin forces himself to partake in an ice fishing trip with Max and Lloyd, but the tensions escalate when the three become trapped in the hut! Meanwhile at home, Abby and Diane try to have a scary movie marathon, but unknowingly traumatize Howie.

Episode 13 - The Academic Bowl Chong ProblemAlvin has to put aside his differences with Wendy Chong for a chance to represent the school at the State Academic Bowl, but Max thinks she’s up to something and sets out to prove it. At home, Abby struggles to not catch a cold from a sick Diane, so Derek can ask her to prom.

Episode 14 - The Switch Jolly Mambo VarialWhen Alvin and Abby butt heads over whose life is more difficult, the two decide to trade lives and see who succeeds at being the other. Loser has to help dad clean their disgusting pool! Max and Howie raise the “stakes” with a bet of their own.

Episode 15 - The Yeti Misty Flip MakeoverAfter breaking up with her boyfriend, Kaylee has let the Yeti fall apart. Desperate to save his job, Alvin calls in a fro-yo shop makeover show. Meanwhile, Max makes the mistake of putting Howie in charge of his fan site and is then faced with an impromptu and over-the-top meet and greet.

Episode 16 - The Air-to-Fakie AutobiographyWhen Max gets a book deal to write his life story, Abby volunteers to be his ghostwriter. But trouble ensues when Max realizes Abby’s made some very over-the-top embellishments to fill out his autobiography. Alvin meanwhile is put out when Howie refuses to work on their latest project because of her belief in astrology and a foreboding horoscope.

Episode 17 - The Joey Huckfest PrankpipeWhen Max introduces Alvin to pranking, Alvin pranks his principal, getting both him and Max suspended from school. Lloyd attempts to be the “bad cop” and discipline the boys. Meanwhile, Diane, Abby and Howie try to capture the possum that got into the house.

Episode 18 - The Buttery Bad Luck StreakWith the family excited to visit Switzerland for one of Max’s races, a sudden bad luck streak falls upon the kids. Not believing in luck, Alvin is convinced it’s someone trying to stop them from going to Switzerland… but who would want to sabotage them?

Episode 19 - The Chill-Bro LipslideSeeing Alvin stressed from his schoolwork and other pursuits, Max convinces his bro to take a Max Asher “sick day” to clear his head. Unfortunately, Alvin enjoys the day of fun so much, that when it’s over he doesn’t want to go back to being “Old Alvin!” At the same time, Abby struggles with Lloyd and Diane befriending her boyfriend.

Episode 20 - The Bakside Family EggflipWhen Max is bummed about spending his birthday away from his mom, Alvin throws Max a surprise birthday party – and invites his mom as the big surprise! But when Max’s mom overhears all the crazy and dangerous things the Ackermans have gotten into with Max, she declares Max is going back home to Vermont!

Episode 21 - The Blindside Scoutmaster DisasterAfter volunteering to lead of troop of Junior Porcupines on the best camping trip ever,Max and Shred find their different camping philosophies may not be what the kids arelooking for. Meanwhile, Abby finds herself in an awkward situation after taking on the jobof mascot at The Yogurt Yeti.

Episode 22 - The Boardercross Bionic BoostWhen Howie needs Alvin’s help with her entry in the Top Ten Under Ten science competition, he agrees to become her assistant – and quickly regrets it. At home, Max makes the mistake of bringing table tennis back into the home, reigniting Diane and Lloyd’s obsession with the sport, and leaving he and Abby to deal with the mess.

Episode 23 - The Goofy Tamedog AirAlvin decides to lie about his severe dog allergy when Max’s dog from Vermont,Boardwax, miraculously shows up! But the plan backfires when one of Alvin’s massivesneezes sends Boardwax running right out the door! After discovering she’s not verygood at improv, Abby is determined to become the best and asks Kaylee to mentor her.

Episode 24 - The Switch Inward Love FlipMax is smitten with a cool snowboarder girl, but is thrown when Alvin points out that Max is basically dating himself. Convinced one of them has to change, Max inadvertently ruins the relationship. Abby and Lloyd get some father-daughter time while camping out in hopes of spotting the mythical Blizzard Springs Ice Gryphon.

Episode 25 - The Slopestyle Syrup SlobWhen Max’s syrup mogul cousin Ozzy comes to Blizzard Springs to judge the annual syrup competition, Max is pumped! But when they realize Ozzy is staying with them, Alvin and the family quickly find their houseguest too much to handle. Meanwhile, Abby makes the mistake of getting driving lessons from Diane.

Episode 26 - The Perfect Layback LifeAll of Max’s hard training in Blizzard Springs finally pays off when he wins the Winter Cup! But the Ackerman’s are torn when they realize that means Max is going to hit the road to join the snowboarding tour, leaving them all behind…
