Episode 9 - The Killing Dose

Ogden suspects a young woman in dire condition after falling from a balcony was pushed. As Murdoch investigates her family, he learns Jane appeared to be suffering from hysteria. This is confirmed by her fiancé Silas Gettler (John Fleming), a doctor who refused to treat her complaints. Ogden is irate at his dismissal of her concerns but with the woman unconscious it's impossible to prove anything. After Parker interviews a chimney sweep who confirms that Jane jumped, it seems the case is solved. But then Ogden discovers the woman, who is precariously clinging to life, was being poisoned.

Murdoch sends Parker undercover to investigate the brutal slaying of a whiskey baron and his family.
