Episode 1 - Hair ApparentJerry defends a barber charged with allowing his nephew to sell crack out of his barbershop, a crime for which the barber is now being tried. Marcus, under orders from Balco to "take the hard line" in prosecuting cases, refuses to give any leeway. Roz decides to start handling cases again, but her first one hits a snag that could ruin a woman's life and the life of her son. Bobbi's divorce proceedings get underway, but it's not too long before she gets thrown a curveball. And Jerry gets ribbed about his hair during a party celebrating his 33rd birthday.

Episode 2 - Rules of EngagementJerry and Michelle go before a new judge whose courtroom rules are so draconian they make Judge Kessler's rules seem quaint by comparison. During the case, Michelle becomes smitten with a handsome cop who may be perjuring himself in order to cover up for a bad arrest. Richard defends a pair of elderly twins accused of forging a signature on their dead roommate's welfare check, but the two gentlemen don't seem to understand the gravity of the situation. Marcus scores a date with the borough president's chief of staff, who also happened to be the head juror on a case Marcus lost the week before.

Episode 3 - Curious Case of Kellerman's ButtonJerry gets into a heated conflict with Judge Farnsworth after the jurist punishes Jerry's client for Jerry's tardiness. But Jerry is determined to have the last word with a scheme that makes Farnsworth the victim of his own rigid, by-the-book procedures. Roz and Richard team up to defend a young African-American man accused of committing a hate crime against a gay man. But Marcus is determined not to plea out the hate crime enhancement, especially when his new politically connected girlfriend puts him in a difficult position with Balco.

Episode 4 - No Child's Left BehindWhen an innocent picture of a little boy in a bathtub winds up on a child pornographer's Website, Jerry has his hands full defending the father against Balco's agressive prosecution. During divorce negotiations, Bobbi's soon-to-be ex-husband uses a loophole in the law that might result in Bobbi losing her appartment. The situation leads to her to consider finding a higher-paying job.

Episode 5 - Is There a Doctor In the HouseJerry defends the case of a woman picked up for drug possession, for what she insists is only laundry detergent. The case also involves Michelle's new police officer boyfriend, who gives Jerry a runaround that proves to be devastating. Bobbi steps in to defend a client who is certain that "his side" of the story will prove that he's innocent of the larceny charges he faces. And Charlie has an intriguing dinner with Judge Farnsworth.

Episode 6 - I'll Be Down to Get You a Taxi, HoneyJerry takes on a pro bono case in which he defends a man arrested for running over his crooked lawyer with a car. But it looks like he's going to have to rely on jury sympathy instead of facts to get an acquittal. In a rush to get through cases, Richard pleads out a man caught red-handed breaking into a medical laboratory, but he fails to find out the full story. And Bobbi's final divorce papers are ready to sign.

Episode 7 - Fine and DandyMoments after being acquitted on a weapons charge, one of Jerry's clients is re-arrested for parole violation for having the weapon in the first place. Richard picks a fight with Judge Kessler, claiming that her decision to jail his client for 30 days over a $75 fine is essentially punishment for being poor. But that isn't about to spoil the eager anticipation she feels about going on a first date arranged by her matchmaker. Meanwhile, Bobbi has difficulty adjusting to life after her ex-husband's suicide, and Jerry's attempts to help are met with resistance.

Episode 8 - Trust MeBobbi defends a confidential informant who demands a separate trial from his co-defendent, who could have him killed if word gets out about his cooperation with the police. But taking her cue from Balco, Michelle works behind the scenes with Marcus to screw Bobbi's client by giving the co-defendent a plea agreement. Jerry, however, figures out he can fix Bobbi's case, but he neglects to ask her about it first. Meanwhile, when one of Richard's clients is hit with a damages claim for more money than the client could hope to pay, Richard finds his inner hero by figuring out a way to help her without spending a dime of his own money, but he does use his family name as bargaining power.

Episode 9 - Trout FishingIn order to give a woman the chance to help her son complete his college applications before she has to go into prison, Jerry tries to get a continuance based on having to work a trial in Judge Kessler's courtroom. But Farnsworth won't grant the continuance, and that creates a battle of wills between him and Kessler, with Jerry and his clients caught in the crossfire. Balco, meanwhile, uses Michelle to seek a continuance on a trial in which Richard's client is accused of mudering his own wife. Ventimiglia is not in a giving mood, especially since this is the 20th time Balco's office has sought a delay. So with 48 hours to go to trial, Balco turns the entire case over to Michelle.

Episode 9 - Making Up Is Hard to DoBobbi defends a young woman accused of trying to smuggle a brick of cocaine, but her client's appearance proves to be an issue. Michelle, who is prosecuting the case, has to rely on testimony by her cop boyfriend, but there's something a little too coincidental about his involvement. Meanwhile, Jerry works on Marcus to secure a better deal for his client, but Marcus refuses, saying Jerry should have accepted the offer a year ago, when it was first made. Marcus also uses the case as a opportunity to show Balco what he's made of.

Episode 11 - Bobbi Ba-BingJerry defends an inmate charged with stabbing another inmate; Richard works with Ashley, a new public defender, on a case involving a homeless man arrested for panhandling.

Episode 12 - Beating a Dead HorseJerry takes over one of Bobbi's cases, a pregnant woman who is addicted to heroin, and Michelle is determined to do everything she can to keep her in jail so she doesn't continue shooting up with baby in her womb. Roz defends a carriage driver against charges of assaulting an officer and abusing a horse. But there is much more to the story than first appears.

Episode 13 - Maybe, BabyJerry gets into an ethical dilemma when his client makes a deal to testify against a rapist, but the testimony might be completely false. Through a tragic circumstance, Roz winds up with a baby on her hands. And Bobbie issues Jerry an ultimatum: Either he cleans his apartment, or she stops spending time with him.

Episode 14 - O! Say Can You Pee?Richard defends a law student who was arrested at a sporting event for allegedly pouring his beer on a police officer who demanded he respect the national anthem. Judge Farnsworth comes up with a unique way to settle the case. Meanwhile, Marcus is prosecuting a father who tries to rob a store to get food for his kids, but Jerry hopes to do an end run with a video tape that tells a slightly different story. And Judge Kessler may have finally found the perfect man just as Bobbi and Jerry make a big personal decision.

Episode 15 - Happy EndingJerry defends a massage therapist accused by one of his female clients of touching her inappropriately. But a snag with the jury foreman changes the entire game. Judge Kessler's new boyfriend asks her to help prevent his son from going to jail. The father of the baby Roz has been taking care of shows up and threatens to challenge her custody if she doesn't pay him off. And Jerry and Bobbi start looking to get an apartment together.
