Episode 1 - Episode 1Staff shortages and an unreachable Leonie have the team working at their limits amidst the chaos of the White Cliffs rodeo, leaving Pete and new mental health nurse Chaya alone to deal with a horrible multi-casualty car accident that forces Pete to act well outside of his scope of practice.

Episode 1 - Episode 1When new Senior Medical Officer Eliza Harrod’s first retrieval with the RFDS turns problematic, her team will wonder whether or not she has what it takes. She passes with flying colors, and sparks fly with one of her new team members, Flight Nurse Pete Emerson. But this surprise connection ultimately puts her in a difficult situation when tragedy strikes too close to home.

Episode 2 - Episode 2As he buries his loved ones, a shattered Pete has to adjust to his new reality. Returning to work, he finds himself on a retrieval with Eliza, Pete’s resentment towards her comes to a head during a tense mid-air birth. Meanwhile, Wayne struggles to diagnose a seizure-suffering astronomer. Taylor is determined to get back out to the homestead, but at what cost?

Episode 2 - Episode 2Pete discovers the emergency intervention he performed at White Cliffs has had major repercussions, before he, Wayne and Chaya are called to a retrieval where they are challenged to keep a critically ill patient’s explosive secret from her volatile husband--a challenge made all the more difficult when they have to change course for an injured grey nomad.

Episode 3 - Episode 3Despite Pete’s best efforts to avoid Eliza and the reasons their relationship fell apart, things become tricky when the two of them are tasked with the retrieval of a critically ill little boy with a mystery illness. And when they discover what it is, they have very differing views on the best course of action to take.

Episode 3 - Episode 3When a seven-year-old boy goes missing in the outback, it’s a race against time to find him, as the RFDS is called to help his injured father. But when a search party helicopter crashes, leaving the pilot in critical condition, the team faces a confrontation as they struggle to save a life in the most remote of locations.

Episode 4 - Episode 4Word that Eliza will lead the review into the White Cliffs incident has Pete reeling as the team are tasked with a skydiving accident, a missing patient, an old friend who’s suffered a dangerous fall and terrible turbulence.

Episode 4 - Episode 4When a massive dust storm sweeps across the state, the RFDS face a harrowing retrieval when a patient takes a critical turn midair. And when a kangaroo takes out a plane on a remote airstrip, a patient faces losing his foot as the team are forced to make a difficult decision.

Episode 5 - Episode 5When a remote bush retrieval suddenly turns violent, the RFDS must treat one of their own caught in the crosshairs as they race against the sunset to get back in the air. And when Mira passes a horrific car accident along a remote highway, she is suddenly confronted with the challenge of trying to help without a plane and limited medical training.

Episode 5 - Episode 5In the grip of a heatwave, tensions flare between Eliza and Pete while transporting a highly contagious patient in stifling PPE. Wayne’s world is thrown upside down when a routine callout to a seizing patient takes a harrowing turn.

Episode 6 - Episode 6As Wayne battles with his decision to leave the RFDS, his family and Mira, it will take all his skill and a frantic medevac to Adelaide to save a patient. Meanwhile, another patient’s snakebite rattles a very phobic Pete, a situation that worsens when the patient has a panic attack on the plane. Pete and Eliza must calm the panicked flyers as a tense Mira works on an emergency landing.

Episode 6 - Episode 6On the day of Timmy’s funeral, Wayne attempts to face his grief alone until he is confronted with the person he deems responsible for the death. Wayne reels with fury, resulting in dire consequences for his own health and a race against the clock for the team to get to him, especially for a terrified Mira.

Episode 7 - Episode 7A catastrophic explosion at an underground mine creates a mass-casualty incident, the RFDS are called in. But when treating a miner with severe burns they soon discover his brother is suffering life-threatening inhalation burns. With only one plane available, they call for backup. When one of the brothers starts experiencing dissociative hallucinations the team fear one of their own is to blame.

Episode 7 - Episode 7On Dolly Hardon’s charity drag night, what is supposed to be a night of fun for the RFDS team and the Broken Hill community quickly descends into chaos when a bad batch of MDMA is found to be doing the rounds.

Episode 8 - Episode 8Eliza must decide if she will stay or go back to London, as the team gathers for the annual RFDS fundraising ball. Pete is working at a remote clinic where a seemingly straightforward case of a boy with a concussion escalates into a violent and potentially fatal situation. Pete will have to employ some creative tactics to ensure the safety of everyone involved, including himself.

Episode 8 - Episode 8While awaiting the verdict of his tribunal, a suspended Pete is forced to face his deepest fears, when he, a grieving Wayne, and the RFDS crew are all tasked to a catastrophic multi-casualty boat crash in some of the most challenging terrain they have faced.
