Episode 1 - Episode 1The staff at Brownall Job Centre are recovering from a night out celebrating Trish’s divorce. But for Karl, a hangover is the least of his problems when he wakes up with a naked woman in his flat. Unfortunately for him it wasn’t the new deputy manager, Natalie Mason. Trish is thrilled to have in Natalie a protégé and confidante, and immediately spills the beans about the big night out and her new younger boyfriend. However Natalie isn’t as popular with Angela, who is back and at her most awkward in the role of ‘Cost-Cutting Commander’ and very bitter at being overlooked for promotion herself.

Episode 2 - Episode 2Local business power woman, Jamina McNulty of McNulty Leisure has agreed to use the Job Centre to recruit new sales staff and Trish is determined to pull out all the stops to impress her, including a hot tub hotline installed by phone engineer Andy. Andy takes a shine to Natalie and Karl realises he's going to have to take drastic measures to see him off, while in Trish's desperation to get the whole team putting in 100% she makes the fatal mistake of lying to her office nemesis Angela with disastrous consequences...

Episode 3 - Episode 3Hang out the bunting and blow up the balloons – it’s ‘Youth Day’ and in preparation for MP Peter McCrea’s visit, local young people are shadowing advisors at the Job Centre. Ambitious plans are thwarted when a request for staff to dress down leads to an embarrassing faux pas for Trish, there are tears when teenager Ann-Marie develops an awkward crush on Karl and there’s a security crisis when Michael hacks into Jobseeker computer records. Meanwhile saddled with troublesome Bryony, Angela sets out to derail the whole event.

Episode 4 - Episode 4Austerity comes to Brownall and the team are on notice to improve the figures. Karl and George are determined to expose a benefit fraud and Natalie vows to get Bryony a job whatever it takes. The only figures on Trish’s mind are her own, as she attempts to keep the truth about her age from her younger boyfriend Tom. Meanwhile in an effort to avoid being set up with Trish’s friend, Karl fails to turn up at his dream double date.

Episode 5 - Episode 5Trish sets off to a less salubrious part of town in a bid to retrieve her lost mobile phone. Left in charge, Natalie struggles to deal with difficult claimant Keith and finds herself threatened with legal action. Meanwhile, Trish has problems of her own as Connor, who found her phone has also found some very personal pictures on it. Karl can't see the girl he's falling in love with sacked, but he has only Janette to help him save Natalie's job - but she's more concerned about her fellow security guard Paul's newfound horrific body odour.

Episode 6 - Episode 6It’s overtime on Saturday for a 'health and wellbeing' training joint venture with the team from neighbouring Kingstanding branch. Visiting manager Denise can hardly move for health issues, whilst staff member Gary seems willing to risk his own wellbeing to find Angela’s ‘soft centre’. Trish is determined to go to any lengths to keep Karl and Natalie apart, but Karl's already in big trouble thanks to Kingstanding livewire Tyler and Natalie finds herself faced with a very big decision.
