Season 1 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Dalton Trail Lodge

Host Colin McKeown travels to a remote region of the Yukon in search of big lake trout, rainbow trout and grayling on a fly. He is accompanied by his nephew who is learning to fly fish and they are the guests of Dalton Trail Lodge.

  

Episode 2 - Auld Reekie Lodge

Jenna McKeown ventures to Northeastern Ontario to fly fish for big smallmouth bass on a fly. She is staying at Auld Reekie Lodge which is nestled in a tranquil part of the province, in an area renowned for good fishing.

  

Episode 3 - Cedar Island Fly Fishing

Bill Spicer is on the hunt for big bass and pike in this episode. He is in Northwestern Ontario at Cedar Island Lodge. While there, he hooks into a few "surprise" species he does not expect.

  

Episode 4 - Ohio Steelheading

Ashtabula County in Ohio is blessed with a number of great rivers that have strong runs of steelhead. Host Bill Spicer fly fishes in the spring for these chrome rockets and learns more about great fly fishing techniques from Jeff Blood.

  

Episode 5 - Mattawa Fly Fishing

Host Bill Spicer is in Mattawa Ontario - population 3,000. It is small town in NE Ontario that is surrounded by incredible brook trout, bass and musky fishing. Bill has to deal with several cold fronts and teaches some good techniques for catching fish when dealing with poor weather conditions.

  

Episode 6 - Credit River Browns

Host Colin McKeown joins well-known guide Graham Bristow to fly fish for finicky brown trout on the upper Credit River. Graham teaches Colin some great nymphing techniques for catching these super-fussy fish.

  

Episode 7 - MarMac Lodge

Host Bill Spicer is joined by contest winner Mike Nedza and his son to fly fish in Algoma Country. Mike has never caught a brook trout before and Bill helps him to catch his first on a fly. Great instruction provided at MarMac Lodge.

Giant brook trout are a goal of many anglers. In this episode Mark Melnyk travels to Blue Fox Camp in northern Ontario to cast flies for brook trout that reach weights of ten pounds or more!

Host Norm Bolen is in for a treat when he goes to NE Ontario in search of BIG smallmouth bass on poppers. He is the guest of Marten River Lodge and they take Bill to some incredible backwater lakes via ATVs to use topwater flies to catch massive bass.

We travel to the mountains of Newfoundland in search of topwater salmon action. Host Colin McKeown is on the Main River using bombers and bugs to catch Atlantic salmon in tough conditions.

Mark Melnyk travels to Algoma Country to fly fish for large Northern Pike at Brace Lake Outfitters. He explains tackle, techniques and flies to use.
