Season 1 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Faith & Reason

Dr. Meyer lays out a process for providing reasons for faith by using science and logic to evaluate the great questions of life and build a case for the existence of God.

Episode 1 - Who Is Jesus?

Who is Jesus Christ? The answer to this question is incredibly important. But the traditional response, derived from the Gospel accounts, is often deeply offensive to unbelievers.

Episode 2 - The Big Bang Cosmology, Pt. 1

Is the Universe infinite, or did it have an actual beginning? In this lesson, Dr. Meyer provides the opening arguments for a finite universe by studying the expansion rate of the cosmos.

Episode 2 - The Promise

Does it matter that Jesus was Jewish and, more specifically, a “son of David”? Why is His family line important?

Episode 3 - The Big Bang Cosmology, Pt. 2

If we could go back far enough in time, we would come to a point when the universe did not exist. But if the universe truly had a distinct beginning, then what caused the cosmos to come into existence?

Episode 3 - The Birth

Over many centuries, God raised up numerous prophets who reiterated His plan to rescue His people through a Messiah. Some of these prophecies were so specific that it was unlikely that anyone could fulfill them. But someone did.

Episode 4 - His Life

What was Jesus like? What sort of things did He say and do? How did He treat the people around Him? The Gospels reveal how His actions, words and encounters with people were nothing less than shocking.

Episode 4 - The Big Bang Cosmology, Pt. 3

Dr. Meyer highlights evidence that the universe runs according to specific, intelligent laws of physics and cosmology that allow life to exist. If the universe is finely tuned for life, then was there a Fine-Tuner, someone who set up those life-sustaining parameters?

Episode 5 - DNA by Design, Pt. 1

The Question of design is a critical worldview-shaping paradox. If biology points us to the appearance of design, then what are we to make of it? Can we attribute this to natural selection or was there an Intelligent Designer?

Episode 5 - The Death

It’s a fact: Jesus died on a cross. But why? What did it mean? And how is His death central to our life? Del Tacket helps relive the last week of Jesus’ life and explores the unseen realities that made the Crucifixion necessary.

Episode 6 - DNA by Design, Pt. 2

Is it possible for life to have begun by mere chance? Dr. Meyer shows the mathematical and logical difficulties in explaining the origin of life using three different, popular theories.

Episode 6 - The Resurrection

When Jesus reappeared to His disciples after His crucifixion, it changed everything. In this lecture, learn what attempts have been made to explain away the historical reality of Jesus’ resurrection.

Episode 7 - The "God" Claim

This session weighs the arguments traditionally made against Jesus’ divinity and then start to look at all the evidence in favor of it.

Episode 7 - DNA by Design, Pt. 3: Information and Intelligence

We know that the source of any information found within the DNA code is intelligence itself. So where does this intelligence come from? Chance? Natural Selection?

Episode 8 - The "God" Claim II

In this lesson, explore how the language and actions of Jesus, Himself prove His identity as the Messiah, negating claims that Jesus’ disciples turned Him into a god of their own invention.

Episode 8 - The Return of the God Hypothesis

When one takes all the evidence into account, there is a compelling case to be made for the existence of God. In fact, it may be the best plausible explanation for the origin of the universe and life itself.

Episode 9 - Is Jesus the Only Way?

In a society that loves tolerance and diversity, it poses a problem when a person comes along who claims his way is the only way. He’s bound to be labeled a bigot and face serious oppositions, unless he happens to be right.

Episode 9 - The Moral Necessity of Theism

It is impossible to live as a moral relativist. Everyone believes in some standard of right and wrong. But what is that standard and where did it come from?

Episode 10 - Ethics & Morality, Pt. 2

Dr. Meyer provides overwhelming evidence that the theistic worldview is the only one that can provide a coherent explanation for an objective and meaningful system of morality.

Episode 10 - Handling the Questions

This lesson explores ways to best engage with individuals who don’t share the same viewpoint of the gospels and considers ways to show them who Jesus really is.
