Episode 1 - The Lost Dog PilotAn intimate look at the compelling and often outrageous ways Americans choose to make a living. Both fun and moving, and shot in "fly on the wall" style, it follows the people who do the jobs we love to hate, hate to do, and jobs that are stereotyped or simply different! In this episode, a bounty hunter hustles to catch fugitives and save their souls in Hawaii, while "stalkerazzi" photographers risk life, limb, and speeding tickets to get shots of Hollywood stars.

Episode 2 - Meet the ChapmansWelcome to the wonderful and wacky world of Da Kine Bail Bonds - headed by brawny bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman and his partner and wife Beth - whose raw and rigorous penchant for getting their guy is only eclipsed by their Honeymooners-style personal antics. Aided by their team of family coworkers who would follow Dog to the end of the earth, the Chapmans always get their guy. Tune in and watch Beth mother her brood of children and chase convicts while in 4 inch heels - see Dog kick fugitive butt but fail to make his 3 year old take a time out. Today we see the Chapman clan defend their family name as they chase down a "Chapman gone awry" - Floyd Chapman is a heavily tattooed bail jumper with the same last name as Dog (but no relation). Dog uses his disarming charm in a phone ruse to lure information from the offender?s mom - then rocks his team into a "state" of aggressive anticipation to make the surprise bust at the runner?s family home - culminating in a high speed spat with Beth. After an adrenalin pumped grab, Dog, an ex-con turned lawman, shares his personal story with the captured fugitive to try and get him back on the right side of the law. Then they all get to celebrate with a family trip to the beach, just deserts for our bounty hunting heroes and Dog has a chance to contemplate the similarities between the Hawaiian state fish and fugitives.

Episode 5 - Bounty Hunters Have Hearts TooDog and company delve into the depths of Honolulu's Chinatown as they search for a young Samoan girl who’s gone down the wrong path. The denizens of this seedy underworld of pan-pacific petty criminals and party animals alternately lionize Dog and lie to him, closing ranks to protect one of their own. After a frustrating day of hunting Dog has to shift gears to fulfill his suburban Dad obligations by trying to keep his 3 and 5 year old kids quiet during the 5th grade school play of his 11 year old daughter. The next day he enlists Ili Suka (his Samoan secret weapon) to track the fugitive down, then mobilizes his entire team - including the real dogs - to make the grab. But when he learns that his fugitive is only 21 years old and the daughter of a gospel pastor, he decides that after putting her in jail, he's got to help her get back to singing in the choir.

Episode 6 - Love's Labors Lost and FoundWhile hunting an elusive deep-sea fisherman, Lincoln Alu, Dog is also trying to plan a great Mother’s Day for Beth while she is at the beauty salon. But he is having problems finding the special flowers Beth wants. The hunt for Lincoln takes them to an apartment building, park, and the marina where fishing boats dock but with no positive results. Frustration on the case boils over the next day and Tim and Beth have a heated debate about strategy, and Dog plays peacemaker. After more fruitless searching, Dog takes a break with the kids to go hunting for Mother’s Day gifts at the mall. While the presents are easier to find, the kids are tired and a handful as it is getting late. But the next day a confidential informant leads Dog and the team to the capture. Dog then takes Beth out for the evening for a Mother’s Day surprise - front row seats at "The Rumble on the Rock" - a cage style street fighting tournament. But the ferocity of the grappling makes Dog realize he has bitten off more than he can chew. "I deal with violence everyday, this hurts my spirit," he complains to Beth as they exit the arena in search of further romance.

Episode 7 - The Godfather of WaikikiDog is hunting Lilo, a 59 year old man known on the street as "The Godfather of Waikiki." The bond is small, Dog and Beth bailed him out as a courtesy, but now he seems to be refusing to go to court. This could cost Dog and Beth money and lose them much pricier respect on the street. But for some reason Dog seems to be holding back, uncharacteristically giving Lilo multiple chances to turn himself in. When Beth questions his resolve, Dog reveals the painful story of the descent into a life of crime of his seventh son Tucker, and we learn that Lilo gave Dog wise advice as Tucker was going to jail. But when Dog and his crew take their hunt down to the heart of Waikiki, Lilo?s aging alleged gang (the "Waikiki Beach Boys") close ranks to protect him. But a hot tip leads to an intense arrest, and Dog and Lilo once again reflect on the lessons their years have brought them and the regrets they have earned as well.

Episode 8 - Justin's Big DayJustin is the low man on the totem pole in the Chapman clan, and this means that the rest of the team is always teasing him. At 21 years old, his responsibilities at home include lots of childcare and cleaning, and on bounties he spends time getting lunches and searching the smallest and dirtiest hiding places. But Justin wants to be a full fledged member of the team, and Dog has a fugitive that will his test case. Solomon Fuller is a long-line fisherman working on a boat called the "Blue Sky" who has failed to appear in court on assault charges. So the team heads to the marina, and Justin is told that he is to take the lead in the arrest - to go into the water if he has to... A tense search at the marina takes Dog and the team to the Blue Sky and then the parks nearby. A tip from a Samoan local leads them to Solomon, who is smoking "ice" with a friend in a car. After a tense confrontation Justin gets Solomon into cuffs with help from Tim, and they hustle him into the back to the office to do paperwork. Solomon?s regret touch Dog?s sympathetic side, and so Dog tries to appeal to Solomon?s Christian upbringing to help Solomon confront his drug problems. After Solomon is safely in jail, the team reconvenes at the office to decide if Justin did enough on the bust to warrant a promotion. Dog calls for a vote, and with a unanimous verdict, Justin gets his promotion, a souvenir wanted poster, and is brought to tears.

Episode 9 - It's Good to Be HomeDog and his team return to their roots, with a visit to their home town of Denver, Colorado. Dog and Tim begin the day with an early morning radio show appearance, and it pays off when a listener calls in with a tip about one of the fugitives they’re hunting. Learning that he's working at a Taco Bell restaurant, they head for the drive through window and order one fugitive to go. They make the grab, but Dog takes pity on the young man and Beth intervenes with the manager to save his job. After this "quickie," (and some midday romance for Dog and Beth too), Dog goes to his favorite local shoemaker to pick up a new pair of cowboy boots. He decides to break them in on Roger Hines, a fugitive who is almost Dog's age. When Heinz climbs out a window and runs for it, the team goes into full tackle mode. But in the end, they get their second catch of the day. After allowing Roger to call his wife (who reminds him that the arrest is the result of his procrastination on paperwork for the courts) and talking with him for a while, Roger announces that although he has been arrested plenty of times, "it was a pleasure being arrested by you gentlemen." Which goes to show that it is good to be home -- and kick some butt while you’re there.

Episode 10 - You Can't Go Home AgainBack in Denver Dog discovers that recapturing the past can be more difficult then tracking down felons. On a day of more misses then hits in their fugitive hunting, Dog and Beth repeatedly collide with reminders of their early days. A drive by "Bail Bonds Row" brings recollections of their start as bail bondsmen and bounty hunters, a truck stop reminds them of their early courtship. A trip to a house built by his grandfather, and where Dog raised Leland, moves Dog to tears. Wandering through the abandoned and rundown homestead that once boasted "the greenest grass in town," the skies blacken, a tornado alarm sounds, and Dog touched by the sublime tearfully recalls the words his father said to him as he lay dying. After breaking into tears, he re-assembles the crew and heads out to try to capture one fugitive and to offer another one the break of a lifetime.

Episode 11 - Sons and DaughtersBack in Hawaii, Dog and the crew have gathered at the Da Kine Bail Bonds office. Dog introduces the next fugitive, Virginia who failed to appear for a court date and has numerous drug charges against her. Dog tracks Virginia to a house in the hills above Honolulu. But a feisty sixteen-year-old girl bravely stands up to Dog and his team, stopping them at the door. She claims to have no idea who Virginia is, although some graffiti on the property suggests otherwise. Dog is stymied, he has a warrant to serve but he has to present it to an adult and there isn't one there. In the end the team leaves but they vow to return. The following day Dog gets a tip that a pickup truck will soon be driving to meet Virginia and if they want to catch her, all they have to do is follow the truck. In true private eye fashion the team tails the truck, in two SUVs, regularly switching the follow car to throw off their scent. The truck stops to pick up Virginia's son from school and eventually leads them to Virginia's mother's house where they find Virginia hiding in the laundry room. The ride to jail is quite emotional. It turns out Virginia's son is a "bleeder", a hemophiliac, and Virginia is worried about what will happen to him if she goes to jail. Dog promises to help the boy, which eases Virginia's mind before she's taken to jail.

Episode 12 - A Family FeudIt's Dog's final days in Denver before he returns to Hawaii. Working for an old friend and local bondswoman, Mary Ellen, he and his team are hunting Chris, a fugitive wanted for a variety of drug charges. Chris's family has been making threatening and abusive calls to Mary Ellen and Dog, so tensions are running high. Out on the road Dog and his team relentlessly track Chris. Every house he might have visited, every bar where he's rumored to hang out, anyone he's ever done drugs with, Dog turns over every rock in Denver looking for the guy, all to no avail. In the end Mary Ellen decides to revoke the bonds she holds on Chris's mom and stepfather because she believes they are using drugs and probably harboring Chris. The bust is intense but Dog prevails and takes his quarry to jail. From the jail they go to Tim's son’s graduation; a happy family occasion in contrast to Chris's dysfunctional and violent family. A few weeks later, after a high-speed chase through three counties, Chris was arrested with his stepfather in the car.

Episode 13 - The SweepInspired by a conversation with an encouraging FBI agent and a patriotic desire to clean up his country, Dog decides to sweep his island clean of as many fugitives as he can, as fast as he can. To that end he's chosen three "bad guys" from his files. The first is Raymond, wanted on drug charges. Raymond is an easy grab and that's just the way Dog likes it. He wants to give his "Dog Pound" a quick victory to get them excited for the hunt. Then he and his team go after Mauro, wanted for solicitation. With some humor, the team wonders if Mauro is doing the soliciting or was being solicited. They find Mauro at his apartment building and are able to bust him with little fuss. It turns out that he wasn?t the prostitute. Taking a break from the hunt, Dog, Beth and the kids go to their local supermarket to shop for food. Dog buys some bagged ice. "It's the good kind of ice," He says, "Not the kind that will kill you." The final grab is Siamau Siamau, who they've convinced to fly back to Hawaii from LA. He does and they grab him at the airport. Three good grabs and Dog feels like he's done right by his community and his country.

Episode 14 - Stress ManagementBeth prepares breakfast for her family before they head out for another stressful day of bounty hunting. Unfortunately, with three children, the breakfast itself is fairly stressful. Their first case of the day involves a fugitive named Tracy. Dog has word that Tracy is in a homeless shelter so he leads his troops to the facility. Unfortunately for Dog, the shelter's staff is not willing to cooperate. The two sides get into a huge, angry confrontation and the police are called. In the end, Dog backs off. The next day, Tracy has a court date at 1:30pm that afternoon. Dog takes Tracy's warrant and mug shot to the court's sheriff. After confirming the paperwork, the sheriff takes Tracy into custody. Dog says that the bust wasn't really satisfying and he wants to get someone else. Dog decides to hunt Daniel who lied to Beth when he convinced her to write his bail. Daniel said he would pay the bond fee after he was bailed out and he hasn't. Dog is annoyed that they were deceived and it fuels his desire to capture Daniel. The good news is they have information that leads them right to Daniel's house. The capture is violent but clean. Because of his anger Dog delivers Daniel to Honolulu PD with only a minimum of his usual kind words. A stressful two days is relieved by a romantic dinner for Dog and Beth. At a beautiful restaurant on the beach, Dog and Beth let us know how important it is for them to reconnect with the good

Episode 15 - Where There's SmokeThe day at the office starts like any other. Dog preps the team for the capture of Robert, a low-level drug dealer. The group heads to downtown Honolulu. After searching fruitlessly for Robert, Justin is sent to get Beth's car and, improbably, gets lost driving back. Beth notices that Justin has melted a hole in her dash with a cigarette butt. Beth yells at him, pointing out his mistake. Dog and Beth give Justin a real talking to. They tell him he may or may not be fired, that they’ll think about it and let him know. The next morning finds Beth and her daughter Cecily shopping for pet supplies. At the checkout Beth gets a call from Dog: a tip has come in with the location where Robert is supposed to be dealing drugs. The whole team rushes to grab Robert. As it turns out Robert is just selling hedge clippings as marijuana. And as for Justin, well, the important thing about family is that they can always forgive each other.

Episode 16 - Second ChancesDog's dog, Nikita, had puppies four weeks ago. But today the Chapmans awake to discover that one of the pups was attacked in the middle of the night by the rest of the litter. It's barely breathing. Beth and Cecily take the little guy to the vet. The only explanation the doctor can come up with is that the puppy may have eaten a poisonous toad and, when he was unconscious, been attacked by the other puppies. The vet says he'll do all he can but he's not going to make any promises. He insists that Beth and Cecily name him, and Cecily dubs him "Lucky." Touched by the frailty of the puppy and a bit of his own history, Dog decides it's second chances day. Dog tells the story of how his own life turned around on 7/7 of 1977 and, since this day is 7/7 of 2004, Dog is going to give someone a break. That lucky person is Paul. Using a few of his classic tricks, Dog tracks down Paul's house but Paul isn't there. Paul's brother and father are home, and they help convince Paul to come in. Paul returns home and is arrested. On the way to jail Dog gets Paul to admit he is an "Ice Head" (methamphetamine addict). But since its second chances day Dog goes very easy on the young man. He tells Paul they're going to try to help him get into a rehab program. Paul really appreciates what Dog is willing to do for him. The following day, Dog, Bonnie and Cecily go to the vet to see if they can bring the puppy home. Hooray!
