Episode 2 - Episode 2Healing family wounds, Uhtred journeys north, his ancestral home in his sights. The rift between Wessex and Mercia deepens, and Lord Aethelhelm pressures King Edward to make a decision that threatens to divide the Saxons, as well as his own family.

Episode 3 - Episode 3As the Danes take advantage of Saxon instability, Aethelflaed takes a bold course of resistance. Uhtred must decide whether love will drive him to fight for the Saxons. Meanwhile Lady Aelswith takes the lead in forging new alliances.

Episode 4 - Episode 4The Saxons and Danes prepare for conflict, but will Mercia and Wessex unite in time to secure their future? In a meeting of armies, Uhtred faces down old enemies and reveals their lies in an attempt to bring the conflict to its conclusion.
