Season 18 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - History in the Making

For the first time ever, women will compete on the Ultimate Fighter. Sixteen women will fight alongside sixteen men for their spot in the house. Coaches Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate choose teams and the first Preliminary Fight is announced.

  

Episode 2 - Ladies First

Tensions rise as the coaches cross paths, and a hopeful fighter's UFC dream is threatened by injury. Then the women go to battle when the number one female picks Julianna Pena of Team Tate and veteran Shayna Baszler of Team Rousey square off.

  

Episode 3 - Stick and Move

Team Tate is in the hunt for its second win as grappling specialist Chris Holdsworth takes on Rousey's number one male pick, Chris Beal. But the team's cohesion is threatened when Cody Bollinger accuses Julianna Pena of leaking their fight picks. The coaches nearly come to blows when a year-old controversy fuels a heated debate about Rousey and Tate's pending matchup, and hints of romance are on the horizon as the coeds settle into their new living arrangements.

  

Episode 4 - Use the Force

The feud between coaches heats up when assistant Edmond Traverdyan of Team Rousey and guest coach Dennis Hallman of Team Tate get into a post-fight altercation. In practice Team Tate makes a bold move - pairing men and women together in an intense sparring session. Then, in the third preliminary fight, Team Tate guns for its third win in a row as veteran jiu-jitsu specialist Roxanne Modafferi takes on world champion boxer Jessica Rakoczy.

  

Episode 5 - Redemption

The team Rousey fighters get some extra inspiration when Rousey invites her mother, winner of the 1984 World Judo Championships, to guest coach at practice. The bantamweights struggle to keep their weight down as the competition continues. Later, Team Tate's Louis Fisette looks to redeem his elimination fight loss as he prepares to square off against the formidable David Grant of Team Rousey.

  

Episode 6 - Little Princesses

After the fighters attend a special Hooter's event, Anthony Gutierrez annoys everyone at the house. Joanna Pena gives two female fighters their first makeovers. Then, Team Tate's Raquel Pennington takes on Jessamyn Duke of Team Rousey, with a spot in the semis on the line.

  

Episode 7 - Zone In

On Father's Day, Rousey visits the Ultimate Fighter house to drop off presents to the fathers. But not even a gift can lift the spirits of the homesick Cody Bollinger, who sobs privately for the company of his daughter and wife. Then, in the sixth preliminary fight of the season, Team Rousey's Michael Wootten and Josh Hill of Team Rousey enter the Octagon to duke it out for a coveted spot in the semifinals.

  

Episode 8 - Sacrifice

It's the final two preliminary fights! In the men's tournament, Anthony Gutierrez is slated to take on Team Tate's Cody Bollinger. On the women's side, Sarah Moras is matched up against the 6'1' Peggy Morgan of Team Rousey. As the UFC hopefuls prepare for the biggest matchups of their careers, one fighter's dream is jeopardized when the weight-cut gets tough. Which fighters will solidify their spots in the semi's?

  

Episode 9 - Hwpo

With the semifinals set to begin, the Team Tate fighters believe Miesha and her coaches are playing favorites. The semifinalists make a special visit to a Harley-Davidson boot camp. Then, British brawler Michael Wootten takes on jiu jitsu blackbelt Chris Holdsworth, with a spot in the live finale on the line.

  

Episode 10 - Mean Girls

Tate Teammates Sarah Moras and Julianna Peña are matched up in the first women’s semifinal fight of the competition. Hoping that the annoying Peña will be defeated, most fighters on both teams pledge their support for Moras. The fight promises to be one of emotion as Peña attempts to avenge a loss to Moras earlier in her career, a defeat that also saw her suffer a broken arm. Only one will emerge the victor, claiming a coveted spot in the live finale.

  

Episode 11 - One Punch Away

Both teams head to Mandalay Bay where Ronda and Miesha face off in a rock climbing Coaches Challenge. In the days leading up to the last men's semifinal between Davey Grant and Anthony Gutierrez, weight issues come into play, putting one fighter's dreams of fighting in the finale in jeopardy.

  

Episode 12 - Aiming for the Top

With their semifinal fight looming, Team Rousey's Jessica Rakoczy and Team Tate's Raquel Pennington are hit with serious injuries during training. Who can muster up the strength to fight through the pain, and earn a spot in the live finale against Julianna Pena?

  

Episode 13 - TUF 18 Finale

It all comes down to this. Team Tate's David Grant will take on Team Rousey's Chris Holdsworth for the men's TUF 18 title. Then, Tate's Julianna Pena and Rousey's Jessica Rakoczy square off to see who will be crowned the first female Ultimate Fighter.
