It is all about baseball around this time as the season comes to an end. This documentary inspired by John Sexton’s book Baseball as a Road to God delves into the unexpected connection between the game and religious traditions. Narrated by Joe Mantegna it is structured around nine innings, each with a concept of faith matched to its baseball equivalent, using historic footage and interviews.

Cupertino: Juno
Season 1 of this legal drama set in Silicon Valley, follows lawyers Natalia, Michael and Olivia as they endeavor to set up their new firm by taking on cases of those exploited by the tech industry. In this episode they represent a devastated mother investigating her son’s patricide. It also brings Michael face-to-face with his ex-girlfriend who is the opposing counsel.

Arsenic and Old Lace
This classic black comedy of screwball silliness from 1944 directed by Frank Capra, stars Cary Grant, Priscilla Lane, Josephine Hull and Jean Adair. Newlywed Mortimer Brewster visits his elderly aunts and discovers a startling family secret and with the arrival of his two delusional brothers Mortimer feels he is going crazy as he tries to hide the dastardly deeds his aunts are getting up to.
