Five-year-old Isa is taken to emergency after an accident that trapped him under a car. Doctors are worried he may have suffered severe internal injurues.

     

Episode 4 - S9 EP4 Heartbreak

An elderly man is taken in with an incredibly high heart rate of over 250 beats per minute. Doctors must take drastic measures to try and restore it to normal.

An accident sees 13-year-old Tom crash his bike into a car, and doctors are concerned by his incredibly swollen face and the possibility of internal injuries.

Barrie is a 78-year-old man with dementia and is rushed to the hospital with breathing difficulties. He has been to the hospital a few times before with chest problems.

Andy is a 48-year-old train driver who has fallen from a 12 foot tree while cutting branches. The doctors are worried he might have permanent damage to his nerves.

John is a 43-year-old cyclist who crashes face first into a car. The doctors are concerned he has serious injuries to his brain and spine.

Liam gets rushed to St George's after collapsing at home during an epileptic seizure. Liam's wife and mother Kimberley discuss the effect his seizures have on them collectively.

39 year-old Stephan is diagnosed with internal bleeding after an angiogram that took place the day before.

     

Episode 12 - S9 EP12 Dangerous Pursuits

A young girl breaks her leg while playing football and needs emergency surgery; a motorcycle rider crashes her bike and runs into a lamp-post, before being rushed to hospital.

     

Episode 13 - S9 EP13 Lonely Hearts

A 68-year-old woman falls down a flight of stairs and seriously breaks her ankle, requiring emergency surgery.

     

Episode 14 - S9 EP14 Love's Sacrifice

A young cyclist is hit by a car on his way to work, and doctors discover that he may have a severe head injury when he cannot remember anything about the incident.

     

Episode 15 - S9 EP15 You Only Live Once

An 11-year-old boy fractures his skull while pushing a friend out of the way of a motorcycle. Further tests indicate that Jack has ended up with a bleed on his brain.

     

Episode 16 - S9 EP16 One False Move

A 12-year-old girl falls from a cliff in Hastings and suffers a head injury. She is airlifted to hospital where doctors discover that her injuries are incredibly serious.

     

Episode 17 - S9 EP17 The Handover

A 71-year-old man has a bad fall on a tiled floor, and is rushed to hospital after landing on his head. Doctors discover that the fall has caused a serious bleed on his brain.
