Episode 1 - Episode 1Murray has arranged a surprise 40th birthday party that evening for his beloved wife Bex. All their friends and family will be there and he’s trying to make the final arrangements, but someone blurts out that Bex is leaving him. In the wake of this news, Murray tries to cancel the party but it’s too late, as friends and family congregate in their house to surprise her. Bex and Murray don’t manage to get any time alone to discuss what has happened, but the situation goes from bad to worse with an awkwardly timed gift…

Episode 2 - Episode 2Murray attempts to persuade Bex that a holiday is just what they need to repair some damage, but it’s not enough to convince Bex and she leaves him heartbroken at the airport. Unable to tell their family truth, the pair lie to Bex’s father Don and pretend to be abroad on holiday. However their cover is blown when Bex unexpectedly bumps into her mother Paula. Don is devastated when they break the news to him and has a rather unusual suggestion of how to fix their marriage.

Episode 3 - Episode 3Curtis forces Murray to attend a work meeting to discuss financing a charity event which Bex is arranging. Bex is not thrilled to see him and things get worse when Murray has to explain that the bank won’t be able to provide funding. When local businessman Julian saves the day, Murray tries to win back attention with a show-stopping fundraising idea. All is going well until his idea falls through, and as a last-minute solution, Bex steps in to be auctioned as a dinner date. Julian and Murray go head to head for her company. Who will win?

Episode 4 - Episode 4Bex agrees to meet Murray for dinner, where he plans to re-propose. However, between the ever-present threat of his love rival Julian, and the missing ring, their evening does not get off to the best start. Things rapidly get worse when a fight breaks out, but Murray is determined to re-propose anyway.

Episode 5 - Episode 5Bex moves in with her sister - just as Murray arrives with some news: he has quit his job in order to focus on their marriage. He is quickly disappointed by Bex’s response. A downbeat Murray goes back to work where Emma voices her sadness that he is leaving. She invites him out for drinks with the team, but at the pub Murray finds himself alone with Emma. The following morning, Murray wakes up in Emma’s flat, naked with no memory of the previous night...

Episode 6 - Episode 6Murray tries to clear things up with his colleague Emma and decides that he needs to give it one last push with Bex. Bex's sister Keeley has a massive decision about the future of her relationship.
