Season 1 Episode Guide
Episode 1 - S1 Ep. 1Fifty of the nation's most talented young cooks aged 8-12 have the chance to make history and become Australia's first Junior MasterChef.

Episode 2 - S1 Ep. 2The Top 50 Junior Masterchefs are dwindled down to 20 as they go head to head in challenges that will test their seafood skills and butchery knowledge.

Episode 3 - S1 Ep. 3The Top 20 are back to compete for a position in the Top 12! First up is an Invention Test followed by a Pressure Test where the kids go head to head.

Episode 4 - S1 Ep. 4The top 12 contestants are bursting with excitement as they arrive at the MasterChef kitchen for the very first time!

Episode 5 - S1 Ep. 5The contestants embark on their first offsite challenge. Competing in two teams of red and blue, the contestants must devise a hot dish, cold dish and a dessert to feed 100 hungry school kids.

Episode 6 - S1 Ep. 6It's the first MasterClass of the series and while the top 12 have a well deserved rest, 10 kids from our top 50 join us for the first Cook-Along Masterclass in the MasterChef Kitchen.

Episode 7 - S1 Ep. 7The contestants face a brand new MasterChef challenge called "Choose A Box". But that's not all - they also must replicate Donna Hay's famous four layer chocolate cake!

Episode 8 - S1 Ep. 8Faced with their first Taste Test, the contestants must identify all 20 ingredients of an imposing 8.5 metre long pizza created by John Lanzafame. The next challenge is a Hot and Cold Cook-Off.

Episode 9 - S1 Ep. 9Gary, George and Anna show 12 excited students from Bangalow Public School how to cook a fillet of beef, open smoked trout lasagne and white chocolate and cherry clafoutis.

Episode 10 - S1 Ep. 10The contestants are challenged with a Basic Skills Test that involves wisking cream into perfect peaks, shelling exactly 300 grams of peas and making perfect scrambled eggs.

Episode 11 - S1 Ep. 11The four losing contestants from the celebrity tag-team challenge face a difficult Pressure Test, then all the Junior MasterChefs head to the SCG to cook a hearty meal for the Sydney Swans.

Episode 12 - S1 Ep. 12On the MasterClass menu - spicy skewered meatballs with rosemary flatbread and Vietnamese duck curry with lychees and cucumber salad.

Episode 13 - S1 Ep. 13Two big challenges will send two lucky contestants straight into the Junior MasterChef top 4! First up is a Mystery Box with a dessert theme, then a French Invention Test.

Episode 14 - S1 Ep. 14The contestants trade the MasterChef kitchen for Jones Bay Wharf where they must cook lunch for 40 guests at Sydney's premier fine-dining waterfront restaurant - Flying Fish!

Episode 15 - S1 Ep. 15Matt Moran, Kylie Kwong, Guillaume Brahimi, Christine Mansfield, Stephanie Alexander and Giovanni Pilu join George and Anna in the kitchen for a very special MasterClass!

Episode 16 - S1 Ep. 16The remaining four contestants battle it out for a place in the grand finale! First up they must create a dish containing snails, rocket and beetroot, then they face a Pressure Test!

Episode 17 - S1 Ep. 17After a fun-filled Pressure Test with a twist and two final challenges, the Junior MasterChef will be crowned!
