Season 1 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Pilot

Episode 2 - Heart of Darkness

Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) break up a powerful pornography operation while dealing with an over-the-edge FBI operative (Ed O'Neill).

  

Episode 3 - Cool Runnin'

Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) set-off to find a group of drug rip-off terrorists responsible for killing one undercover policeman, and seriously wounding another.

  

Episode 4 - Calderone's Return, Pt. 1

Part 1 of 2. The murder of coke dealer Felix Castranova by an Argentinean hit man leads Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) and Rodriguez (Gregory Sierra) to a hit list with Crockett's (Don Johnson) name on it. Now Crocket and Tubbs must find the contract killer before Sonny becomes his next victim.

  

Episode 5 - Calderone's Return, Pt. 2

Part 2 of 2. Following the death of Lt. Rodriguez, Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) travel to the Bahamas to catch their adversary, Calderone.

  

Episode 6 - One Eyed Jack

Crockett (Don Johnson) is trying to help a friend who has accumulated a substantial gambling debt when he is accused of accepting a bribe from her racketeer. Dennis Farina guest stars.

  

Episode 7 - No Exit

Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) reluctantly help government agents in their pursuit of a dangerous international arms dealer and sometimes drug smuggler (guest star Bruce Willis).

     

Episode 8 - The Great McCarthy

During the questioning of a small-time criminal, Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) find the lead they need to get the incriminating evidence against a well-known drug trader.

  

Episode 9 - Glades

Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) must find a man they were holding prisoner to testify against a ring of smugglers in the swamps of the Everglades.

  

Episode 10 - Give a Little, Take a Little

Sonny (Don Johnson) lands in jail because he refuses to disclose the name of his informant. Gina (Saundra Santiago) working undercover as a prostitute comes dangerously close to losing her life. Guest-stars include Michael Madsen and Terry O'Quinn.

  

Episode 11 - Little Prince

Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) start an investigation that first seems like only a small bust, but turns into a multi-million dollar drug smuggling operation.

  

Episode 12 - The Milk Run

Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) must investigate a cocaine smuggling operation which originates in Colombia, and two young amateurs are their only lead.

  

Episode 13 - Golden Triangle, Pt. 1

Part 1 of 2. Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs' (Philip Michael Thomas) assignment as hotel security turns out to be more than just routine when a drug-related hit leads to reveal a side of Lt. Castillo (Edward James Olmos) they've never seen before.

  

Episode 14 - Golden Triangle, Pt. 2

Part 2 of 2. Lt. Castillo (Edward James Olmos) must find a way to catch Gen. Lao Li with enough evidence to send him to prison but without endangering his old love May Ying's life, who was brought to Miami by Lao Li as a hostage to protect himself from Castillo.

  

Episode 15 - Smuggler's Blues

Crockett and Tubbs pose as cocaine importers in Colombia to find out who has been ripping off drug smugglers. Glenn Frey guest stars.

  

Episode 16 - Rites of Passage

An old flame of Tubbs comes to Miami looking for her baby sister who has gotten involved with a man named Traynor and his assistant in some sort of illegal business. Pam Grier and John Turturro guest star.

     

Episode 17 - The Maze

When three young Cubans are holed-up in an abandoned building and are holding two families hostage--all as a result of a trigger-happy cop firing at them too soon--Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) goes under cover as one of 'them'.

  

Episode 18 - Made for Each Other

After Zito's (John Diehl) house is accidentally burned to the ground, he moves in with his partner Switek (Michael Talbot) which causes tension with Switek's new live-in girlfriend who happens to think that Zito is preventing Switek's career from advancing.

  

Episode 19 - The Home Invaders

Lt. Castillo (Edward James Olmos) is asked to take over an investigation into a series or robberies that had been ineffectively handled by Sonny's (Don Johnson) former mentor.

  

Episode 20 - Nobody Lives Forever

Crockett (Don Johnson) gets involved with a beautiful young architect and endangers Tubbs' (Philip Michael Thomas) life by not keeping his mind on his job. Kim Greist guest stars.

  

Episode 22 - Lombard

Crockett (Don Johnson) and Tubbs (Philip Michael Thomas) are assigned by Castillo (Edward James Olmos) to protect a crime figure served a subpoena to testify at a rival's trial. Dennis Farina guest stars.
