Episode 1 - Series 1, Episode 1London, 1908. The bold retailer, Harry Selfridge (Jeremy Piven), is assembling his great plans for the biggest and finest department store the world has ever seen at the ‘dead Mr. Selfridge 47 end’ of Oxford Street. Facing a frosty reception from the anti-American press, Harry runs into unexpected trouble when his business partner Waring suddenly pulls out of the project, which leaves the life of the project hanging in the balance. But Harry’s luck is up when journalist Frank Edwards throws Harry a lifeline, offering to show new-to-town Harry around London and introduce him to the right people.

Episode 2 - Series 1, Episode 2Selfridge’s has now been open for a few months. The displays are still as dazzling and seductive as on opening day, and the staff are ready and poised for action. The only thing the store is missing…is customers! Lady Mae (Katherine Kelly) stops by the Selfridge house to see how Rose Selfridge (Frances O'Connor) and the family are settling in. Slightly disapproving of the fun-loving and energetic Selfridge children, Lady Mae needles Rose about being an outsider to London Society and about Harry’s behaviour, and is shocked when Rose tells her she plans to visit the National Gallery, via the Underground!

Agnes runs into trouble with Reg, whilst Victor is still interested in her. Both Lois and Henri spot the threat of an ascendant Ellen Love, and Agnes helps Henri develop the new house perfume. Lady Mae asks Harry for a favour, and also reveals to Rose the truth about Ellen and Harry’s partnership - which spurs Rose to do something for herself.

Episode 7 - Series 1, Episode 7Literary giant and Spiritualist Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is in for a book signing when he persuades Harry to hold a séance in the store. Harry and Crabb work to deliver a valuable stock issue from the bank - with a little help from Lady Mae and Musker. Agnes is transferred to Fashion, Doris resolves to help an old friend, Miss Mardle is still agonising over Mr Grove, and Kitty has a secret admirer... Rosalie goes to her first society soiree with Lady Mae, and what’s revealed in the séance forces Harry and Lois to have a major heart to heart.

Episode 8 - Series 1, Episode 8The Selfridges’ old friends Frank and Jennie Woolworth are in London and Harry smells competition. Harry wants to beat him at his own game and sets about having a mid-season sale when he realises he can’t buy anything in his store for a threepenny piece. Things get awkward for Rose when she bumps into Roddy at Lady Mae’s soiree; even more so when Rosalie takes a shine to him. Agnes and Henri’s ‘working’ relationship steps up a gear and Miss Mardle is confused by Mr Grove’s behaviour…

Episode 12 - Series 2, Episode 2With the rumblings of war and social unrest unsettling his staff and the country at large, Harry throws a tango party to thank his employees for their work.

Episode 13 - Series 2, Episode 3Agnes manages to pull off a spectacular Empire Celebration in the store but the mood is soured by the big news: England has declared war on Germany.

Episode 14 - Series 2, Episode 4As news of the first horrors of war in Belgium become known, Selfridge’s men clamour to sign up and Thackeray becomes suspicious of an oddly behaving Henri….

Episode 15 - Series 2, Episode 5As Harry’s male staff go off to fight, women are recruited to do the men’s’ jobs and Harry yearns to do more for the war effort.

Episode 16 - Series 2, Episode 6While anti-German feeling is running high, Harry arranges a special patriotic concert just at the point where he himself is asked to make a special trip for the British Intelligence Services and Henri is arrested.

Episode 17 - Series 2, Episode 7With Henri’s arrest and Harry’s sudden absence, people are more worried than ever when a scandal hits the newspapers that points to Harry providing faulty equipment to the British troops.

Episode 18 - Series 2, Episode 8An unsettled and unnerved Harry arrives home in a swarm of bad publicity and has to deal with not only the scandal in the press but with Henri’s arrest too.

Episode 19 - Series 2, Episode 9Harry is determined to get Selfridge’s back on track as Lady Mae and Frank Edwards unite to clear Harry’s name once and for all.

Episode 20 - Series 2, Episode 10There’s some soul searching to be done for Agnes and Victor and Miss Mardle too as Lady Mae takes a big risk that pays off for Harry and Rose prepares to tell Harry some news that will shatter his world forever.

Episode 21 - Series 3, Episode 11918 -- Harry and his family are gathered for the funeral of his beloved wife Rose. As they say their tearful last goodbyes, a grief-‐stricken Harry wonders how he will ever get by without her. Nine months later Harry has a wedding to attend! Harry’s eldest daughter, Rosalie, is to marry renowned Russian aviator Serge De Bolotoff. At the church, a thronging crowd has gathered to see the arrival of the guests. At the forefront of the lavish event is Russian emigree Princess Marie, the extravagant and glamorous mother of the groom.

Episode 22 - Series 3: Episode 2Selfridge’s is hosting the biggest, most exclusive fashion event since the war. Madame Lanvin is showcasing her new collection at the store, and if all goes well, Harry could secure an exclusive contract with her. Meanwhile, Harry visits Nancy Webb. He tells her that this project reminds him of one his beloved late wife Rose once did, and that he’s going to bid for the field.

Episode 23 - Series 3: Episode 3Standing proud on the roof terrace of Selfridge’s, Harry announces the launch of the store’s biggest beauty event to the press. Kitty is literally on top of the world as she assists Harry, presenting her best side to photographers before releasing balloons with gift vouchers to mark the spectacular event. On the back of the successful beauty event, Kitty sees an opportunity and boldly plays the family card - convincing Harry to give Connie a job assisting Miss Mardle.

Episode 24 - Series 3: Episode 4After stumbling upon the attack just in time, Harry and Nancy bring the injured Kitty to hospital. A horrified Frank rushes to be by her side. Kitty is frightened yet galvanised to seek justice. Frank urges her to stop; she needs to rest. Shaken by the evening’s events, Harry abandons his theatre plans, instead taking Nancy to dinner. Impressed and intrigued by her calm handling of the Kitty situation, Harry pries into her personal life - keen to learn more!

Episode 25 - Series 3: Episode 5Harry and Nancy are enjoying the passion of their romance, having been together secretly for a while now. But as always, Harry has business to attend to. Harry announces that Selfridge’s is on the look out for two new staff members: a Store Deputy and Head of Display.

Episode 26 - Series 3: Episode 6Harry places Violette under house arrest after the police raid at Colleano’s. In an attempt to keep her out of trouble, he persuades her to help Nancy with plans for the Selfridge Estate. Under pressure to deposit funds for work on the Estate to progress, Harry is forced to sell 5% of his shareholding in Selfridge’s. A worried Crabb flags that he will no longer own the majority stake in the store, but Harry is adamant - as a family the Selfridges will still hold the majority.

Episode 27 - Series 3: Episode 7Harry pays his respects to grief-stricken Mr Grove, after his sudden and unexpected loss. Stoic as ever, Grove attempts to remain composed but the sound of his children weeping truly breaks his heart. He thanks Miss Mardle for all she’s done to help, but underneath, Miss Mardle is wracked with guilt. If she hadn’t got involved, all this might not have happened.

Episode 28 - Series 3: Episode 8To celebrate the signing of the landmark Treaty of Versailles, Harry consults his newly appointed Head of Press and Print on a way to mark this moment in store. His new appointee is none other than his old friend Frank Edwards, who’s been out of work since his book deal was dropped. Together, they come up with a celebratory ‘Britain at Play’ promotion in store – the first time in five years the country can really let its hair down. This is the first part of Harry’s strategy to drive a return for the shareholders: a true Selfridge’s spectacle to put the store back on the map again.

Episode 29 - Series 3: Episode 9Nancy has kept her engagement to Harry a secret from Gus, and doesn’t wear her engagement ring around him – all the while convincing Harry to keep the engagement under wraps for now. Meanwhile, Harry remains under pressure to boost shareholder profits, executing the second part of his strategy: an enormous flash sale - the biggest London has ever seen.

Episode 30 - Series 3: Episode 10Harry prepares for the board meeting, and a nervous Crabb reports that profits aren’t up as much as they’d hoped. Loxley berates Harry’s business methods and reveals that the board are proposing a vote of no confidence in him as Chairman. Harry could lose the store. It’s a battle of wits, and Harry mounts a robust defence that sees Loxley come unstuck. The vote against Harry is beaten, leaving Loxley looking weak in defeat.
