Episode 1 - The CodeIn the fast-paced and cutthroat world of professional sports, hockey scout Matt Shade’s top pick, Cory Sinclair, has a heart attack on the ice at the Intercontinental Professional Hockey League try-outs. The toxicology reports reveal he used performance-enhancing drugs. Knowing Cory would never resort to that, Shade begrudgingly teams up with private investigator Angie Everett to find out who sabotaged his young player. Through their new partnership, Shade is forced to examine who he has become and who he wants to be.

Episode 2 - Mise En PlaceWhen bad-boy chef Zack Beach is found murdered in his penthouse, Shade and Angie are hired by Shade’s old friend, and Zack’s current business partner, Robyn, to help investigate. But with Robyn’s fingerprints all over the crime scene, can they prove her innocence before the cops take her in? Meanwhile, Shade pulls out all the stops to prove he’s the kind of partner Angie needs.

Episode 3 - The Money ShotIn the adrenaline-charged world of high stakes horseracing, Shade and Angie are hired by a wealthy couple to track down their stolen prized possession and champion racehorse, Diamond Heist. As Shade and Angie work to find the stolen filly, they are drawn into a world of fixed races, animal activism, and black-market horse breeding. Meanwhile, Shade, never a stellar student, contemplates cheating on his upcoming P.I. exam, because as Angie insists, “No license, no job.”

Episode 4 - The Devil's PlaygroundWhen the home of a reclusive literary icon is torched, with him inside, Shade and Angie are hired to find the arsonist and would-be killer. The trail leads to the Toronto Islands, where an idyllic community of creative types is threatened by secrets that could be exposed in the author's upcoming novel. Meanwhile, Shade’s newly minted P.I. license swells his ego, igniting sparks with Angie who is only too happy to remind him how much he has yet to learn.

Episode 5 - The SixIn Toronto’s hip-hop scene, full of ego and unreliable witnesses, Shade and Angie must find, and try to protect, a 14-year-old witness to a violent nightclub shooting. Meanwhile, Shade drives himself crazy, and Angie too, trying to figure out which mystery man Angie spent the night with, while simultaneously struggling to keep a promise to his daughter.

Episode 6 - Partners in CrimeTo help a former client whose life has been destroyed by identity theft, Shade and Angie go undercover in the world of speed dating to expose a con artist who preys on lonely hearts. Meanwhile, Shade receives unsolicited romantic advice from Angie, Jules and Don on how to break out of his romantic slump. Just when Shade is about to throw in the dating towel, he meets the charming Sylvie, who might just be the woman he needs.

Episode 7 - Karaoke ConfidentialAffable hipster Jay hires Shade and Angie to tail him. He’s convinced he’s in some kind of danger, but won’t say more than that. What first appears to be a light-hearted romp quickly turns dangerous as they try to solve the puzzle of what Jay is really asking them to do, before it’s too late.

Episode 10 - Family JewelsShade and Angie are covertly hired by her cousin after a priceless family heirloom is stolen out of the bridal suite on her wedding day. The case takes a turn when Angie's mother, Nora, is fingered as the prime suspect. Meanwhile, Becca serves Shade with the painful reminder that their former custody arrangement is back in place, and Angie faces a decision about next steps with Nolan.
