The Dwarfers need replacement engine parts from the fearsome stomach-churningly ugly 'Kinitawowi'. But the Gelf tribe are interested in only one trade: Lister must marry the chief's daughter.

Holly, the ship's computer, recovers a strange unidentified pod floating in the frozen wastes of Deep Space. Rimmer is convinced it contains the remains of a long-dead alien warrior, and immediately begins a scientific investigation to decipher the pod's hieroglyphics. Meanwhile, Lister's rather mundane day perks up a little when he discovers he is a God.

Trapped aboard a disintegrating ship, Rimmer abandons his crewmates, taking the only remaining escape pod. As he accelerates towards a nearby wormhole, he discovers the pod has no steering controls.

Rimmer has donned his best uniform and Lister has put on his smelly orange moon boots, even Holly is wearing a toupee. After all, what self-respecting smeghead could possibly resist a cry for help from three damsels and an android in distress?

The crew are dead, slain by their future selves in the cliff-hanger that ended series six. But coming back from the dead is a piece of cake compared to the real dilemma confronting Lister - the curry supplies have been destroyed and he's three million light years from the nearest poppadom.

  

Episode 8 - Series 2, Better Than Life

It's cool! It's wild! It's Better Than Life, the new virtual reality game sensation sweeping the solar system. Just dream and pleasure will be yours! Unless you have a mind like Arnold Judas Rimmer's, that is.

  

Episode 8 - Series 7, Stoke Me a Clipper

Rimmer's much more dashing alter ego, Ace Rimmer, arrives on Starbug terminally wounded. He asks Rimmer to take his place as the swashbuckling guardian of the Universe. Reluctantly Rimmer has to turn him down as he's too busy cataloguing his shoe collection.

  

Episode 9 - Series 2, Thanks for the Memory

Rimmer is depressed - his father is dead and no one loves him. Not even his fried egg, chutney and chilli sauce sandwich. It's about time he had a damp dream at least. Then four days go missing and Lister and Cat wake up with their legs in plaster. Have the aliens landed at last?

  

Episode 9 - Series 7, Ouroborus

When two realities converge, the Dwarfers undergo their most terrifying ordeal yet - they bump into a real, live, human woman who's attractive and nice. It's Lister's ex-girlfriend Kristine Kochanski. Kryten immediately goes into jealousy overload mode, convinced she'll steal Lister away from him, and starts plotting her immediate return to her own dimension.

  

Episode 10 - Series 2, Stasis Leak

The crew of Red Dwarf have found a way to go back in time three million years. Back to the freaky fungus and the luscious Kochanski - the two loves of Lister's life. Who knows? Rimmer could even find Rimmer before he dies and bring him back so he doesn't have to be dead anymore. Well, that's the plan.

  

Episode 10 - Series 7, Duct Soup

When the generator and its back-up go down in the middle of the night, the crew have to crawl through the milelong labyrinth of service ducts to restart their engines. On their journey they discover a few surprising things about one another. Including what Lister once did on top of a crate of canned asparagus.

  

Episode 11 - Series 2, Queeg

Holly has been deposed and the back-up computer Queeg 500 is in control of Red Dwarf. Will Lister and Cat lead a revolt after they have been forced to clean the corridor floors? Will Rimmer's legs ever be the same again after Queeg's fitness regime? Has Holly got something up his sleeves? Would he know where to look if he had sleeves anyway?

  

Episode 11 - Series 7, Blue

Lister finds himself missing Rimmer - until Kryten takes him on 'The Rimmer Experience', a virtual reality ride featuring highlights of the departed crewmember's much-loathed life.

  

Episode 12 - Series 7, Beyond a Joke

Kochanski takes the crew into the Artificial Reality suite and transports them to Pride and Prejudice World hoping to educate them in the subtleties of this literary masterpiece. Dream on.

  

Episode 12 - Series 2, Parallel Universe

Holly's latest invention - the Holly Hop Drive - is supposed to take Red Dwarf back to Earth in a flash. In fact, it takes them into a parallel universe where everything exists exactly the same, but opposite. Imagine the horror of a female Rimmer and a pregnant Lister.

  

Episode 13 - Series 3, Backwards

It's the day of Kryten's space-driving test and Rimmer is his examiner. After a somewhat jerky start, he exits Red Dwarf, performs a few less than graceful manoeuvres and is sucked into a time hole. They emerge on Earth, only here time is running backwards. Lister and Cat eventually track them down, to find their shipmates have become a successful speciality act. With some brilliant trick photography and ingenious stunts, see Listen undrink a pint, a bar-room unbrawl and Cat left speechless from an untoilet.

  

Episode 13 - Series 7, Epideme

A strange, intelligent virus has impregnated Lister. He tries to set up a communication link with the disease to sweet talk it into not killing him, but when this doesn't work, he realises that he'll have to submit to Kochanski's disarmingly simple cure.

  

Episode 14 - Series 3, Marooned

As Red Dwarf heads on a collision course towards a minefield of Black Holes, the crew is forced to abandon ship. Lister finds himself marooned on an arctic moon with Rimmer, there's only a pot noodle and a tin of dog food between him and starvation.

  

Episode 14 - Series 7, Nanarchy

The crew searches for nanobots in a laundry hamper to restore Lister to his pre-viral state. What they find is the answer to who stole their spaceship, Red Dwarf, and why.

  

Episode 15 - Series 3, Polymorph

A chameleonic genetic mutant which sucks out human emotions is loose aboard Red Dwarf, and the nightmare begins. The crew are subjected to 24 hours of non-stop horror and the monster faces its own four-course meal of fear, vanity, guilt and anger from each of them.

  

Episode 15 - Series 8, Back in the Red, Pt. 1

The nanobots have not only re-created Red Dwarf they have also populated the ship with is old crew, which is extremely good news for Rimmer. It's bad news for Lister, as he is back to sharing a room with him. It's also bad news for Cat and Kryten - they were not part of the original ship's complement and are now under investigation.

  

Episode 16 - Series 8, Back in the Red, Pt. 2

Rimmer plans to move up the career ladder - using extremely dubious means. He gains access to Red Dwarf's confidential files, and then takes up the opportunity when he is invited to dinner with the Captain and the senior officers. To make the evening go with a swing, he douses himself with a 'sexual magnetism' virus. Meanwhile, Kryten has to come to terms with the fact that he has been classified as a woman due to his lack of male sex organs.

  

Episode 16 - Series 3, Bodyswap

A skutter goes berserk and rewires all the ship's circuitry. So when Lister orders a chocolate bar from one of the snack dispensers, he accidentally triggers off the ship's self-destruct sequence. There is only one way to diffuse the bomb, but it involves Lister lending his body to a female officer. This gets Rimmer thinking.

  

Episode 17 - Series 3, Timeslides

The crew run amok through history, blithely ignoring the consequences of causality. When Kryten discovers some mutated developing fluid which prints photographs the crew can walk into, they find they are able to change their pasts. When Lister becomes a multi-millionaire, married to supermodel Sabrina Mulholland-Jones, Rimmer decides it is his duty to rescue him.

  

Episode 17 - Series 8, Back in the Red, Pt. 3

The Dwarfers face two years in the brig for crimes against the Space Corps. On realizing that their defence has more holes in it than Lister's underpants, they escape to prove their innocence, unaware their every move is being monitored by the authorities. In the meantime, the Cat falls head over Cuban heels in love with the Red Dwarf ground controller and does an elaborate tap dance with Blue Midget to impress the girl of his dreams.

  

Episode 18 - Series 3, The Last Day

Kryten discovers his built-in expiry date is almost up and he has less than 24 hours to live. The crew are determined to give the mechanoid the best night of his life. For the first time, he experiences true pleasure and wants to delay his ascent into Silicon Heaven, the resting place for all electrical appliances. Then his homicidal replacement shows up.

  

Episode 18 - Series 8, Cassandra

On Holly's advice, Lister joins the 'Canaries'. He thinks it's the prison choir, actually it's a battle-hardened convict army, trained to go on suicide missions. And he's also enrolled Rimmer, probably the yellowest of yellowbellies in the whole universe. On their first mission, Rimmer meets Cassandra, a computer with the ability to predict the future with 100 percent accuracy, which prophesies his imminent death.

  

Episode 19 - Series 4, Camille

Kryten rescues a female droid, Camille, from a crashed vessel. She's a 4000 series just like him, only a GTi model with realistic toes and a slide-back sunroof head. Kryten finds himself falling in advanced mutual compatibility on the basis of a primary ident, otherwise known as love at first sight. Sadly he find that such things never run in a non-glitch, bug-free way.

  

Episode 19 - Series 8, Krytie TV

To Rimmer's horror, Lister's guitar is found among Starbug's debris and delivered to their cell. Meanwhile, Kryten, who has been reprogrammed, starts his own pay TV station for the prisoners. Ratings soar with the broadcast of Women's Shower Night. When Kochanski finds out, Kryten's next idea is an elaborate sting and his first victims are Lister and Rimmer.

  

Episode 20 - Series 4, D.N.A.

The crew lock on to an unidentified craft containing the ultimate in genetic engineering technology - a machine that can transform any living thing into any other living thing, by re-writing its DNA. A blessing or a curse? Then Lister's curry finds its way into the transmogrifier and assumes near-human form.

  

Episode 20 - Series 8, Pete, Pt. 1

Lister and Rimmer are forced to take on the guards in a basketball game. They manage to sabotage the opposition's half-time juice with 'Boing', the virility enhancement drug. But needless to say, the match is a fiasco and their punishment is two weeks of spud duty. With Bob the Skutter's help, Lister gets hold of a virus which eats potato skins. It also eats clothing and hair.

  

Episode 21 - Series 8, Pete, Pt. 2

The Dwarfers find themselves in a life-threatening situation when they devolve Pete the Sparrow into a Tyrannosaurus Rex with a time-wand, and he goes on the rampage in the cargo decks. To make matters worse, Pete has eaten the time-wand, so the Dwarfers hatch a cunning plan to get it back via a dinosaur portion of cow vindaloo.

  

Episode 21 - Series 4, Justice

Innate justice does not exist anywhere in the known universe except, that is, for Justice World. The abandoned penal colony is equipped with a 'justice field' which inflicts the consequences of a crime on its perpetrator. The innocent have nothing to fear. Rimmer is in big trouble.

  

Episode 22 - Series 4, White Hole

Holly regains her genius level IQ and for reasons best known to herself powers down the ship. The crew are left drifting helplessly towards a White Hole. Will Rimmer sacrifice his hologramatic life to save the rest of the crew?

  

Episode 22 - Series 8, Only the Good

The Dwarfers are now on probation and are trying their hardest to behave, but things are not going their way. Kryten decides to get his revenge on Lister for giving him dodgy advice on female biology and hides big bully Baxter's stash of illegal hooch in Lister and Rimmer's cell, just before an inspection. Meanwhile, Rimmer crosses into a mirror universe and finds another version of himself captaining the ship.

  

Episode 23 - Series 4, Dimension Jump

In a universe almost identical to our own, another Arnold Rimmer exists. A test pilot in the Space Corps, he is charming, popular, brave and modest. After his test craft breaks the speed of reality, he finds himself face to face with his counterpart aboard Red Dwarf.

Episode 25 - Series 5, Holoship

Rimmer is transmitted from Red Dwarf to the advanced Holoship Enlightenment which contains the cream of the Space Corps. Everything he has dreamed of exists on this ship. Can he earn a commission to join this fantastic vessel?

Knowing they are destined to die, the Dwarfers head to a mysterious address in London to plead for more life. Lister faces a difficult decision when he must choose between real life and fantasy in an emotional climax.

The Inquisitor roams through time weeding out life's wastrels and deleting the worthless. The Red Dwarf crew are in big, big trouble.

  

Episode 26 - Red Dwarf X, Trojan

Rimmer receives an SOS Distress Call from a doomed ship commanded by his all-conquering brother, Howard. But Rimmer can’t bring himself to save Howard until he’s on an equal footing career-wise. He has 15 hours to pass his Astro-Nav exam and become an Officer. The same exam he’s already failed nine times.

  

Episode 27 - Series 5, Terrorform

Rimmer is taken prisoner inside his own mind and ends up being stripped, oiled, manacled, licked, chained, taunted, humiliated and nearly has a knobbly thing the size of a Mexican agarve cactus jammed up where only customs men dare to probe.

  

Episode 27 - Red Dwarf X, Fathers and Suns

Every years Lister sends himself a Father’s Day card to celebrate the fact that he is his own father but when Rimmer points out he’s been a lousy father to himself Lister decides to do something about it. Meantime Rimmer and Kryten install a new computer, the beautiful, but lethally logical, Pree.

  

Episode 28 - Series 5, Quarantine

After an encounter at a viral research centre, Rimmer forces the crew to spend twelve weeks in quarantine. But who's watching the watcher?

  

Episode 28 - Red Dwarf X, Lemons

Marooned in Britain in 23 AD, the Dwarfers need an 8 volt battery to power up their Returner Remote and get home. Remembering a lesson from school Rimmer suggests they make a battery out of lemons but the nearest lemon to Britain in 23 AD is in India 4,000 miles away. They begin their journey, a journey that will ultimately lead them to a meeting with a historical A List Celebrity that could alter the entire history of civilisation.

  

Episode 29 - Red Dwarf X, Entangled

Lister loses Rimmer in a game of poker to a group of Biologically Engineered Life Forms and in return gets an unwanted gift: a groinal exploder programmed to detonate in 24 hours unless Lister pays his debts. Meantime Kryten and Cat become quantum entangled and much to their horror do everything in perfect unison.

  

Episode 29 - Series 5, Demons and Angels

Who knows what evil lurks within the hearts of men? The boys from the Dwarf find out when they encounter their dark sides - four evil doppelgangers hell bent on their destruction.

  

Episode 30 - Series 5, Back to Reality

The crew of Red Dwarf discover an abandoned space ship on an ocean bed but suddenly the salvage operation doesn't sound quite so sexy when they realise all of the occupants of the vessel committed suicide. Attack by a gigantic sea monster soon makes escape the favourite option.

  

Episode 30 - Red Dwarf X, Dear Dave

Lister has women trouble when he gets himself in a love triangle with Snack Dispensers 23 and 34 and then to make matter worse gets a letter from an old girlfriend telling him she’s pregnant and it might be his. Lister and Rimmer hunt through the mountain of letters from the Mail pod to discover if Lister is finally a Dad.

  

Episode 31 - Red Dwarf X, The Beginning

Hiding in an Asteroid, surrounded by a Simulant Death Ship and a fleet of Annihilators, the Dwarfers begin to wonder whether this is the beginning of the end. Only one man can save them, unfortunately that man is Arnold J Rimmer.
