Episode 1 - Episode 1

Old and young go head to head on this, the 4thof Bear Grylls' epic survival series, The Island. Marooned separately on a pair of remote tropical islands in the Pacific with just the clothes on their backs and a handful of basic tools, which generation has what it takes to survive when pushed to the limits of human endurance?

  

Episode 2 - Episode 2

The old and young generations have been marooned on nearby Pacific Islands but which age group has what it takes to survive? This week, the young realize they've chosen the wrong campsite when rain turns it into an uninhabitable swamp and they decide to throw in the luck with the older group who have set up camp further north.

  

Episode 3 - Episode 3

With old and young now living side by side, the islanders are hoping to hit their stride; but a few weeks into their time on the island, lack food is an ever-pressing concern, and tempers are fraying. When a calorie-rich bottle of olive oil is discovered on the beach, it could be the answer to their prayers. However, when cameraman Phil decides to use it to boost the fire, the group are furious.

  

Episode 4 - Episode 4

This time the islanders face Mother Nature at her most violent and brutal. Having endured a series of torrential downpours that have ravaged their campsite, unknown to them a hurricane is brewing 100 miles to the north. The future of the community is left hanging in the balance. Will Aran's resolve to stay be enough to influence the others?

  

Episode 5 - Episode 5

After 4 weeks on the island, the castaways have collectively lost almost 30 stones and are increasingly beleaguered as they enter their last days on the Island. 50-year-old Karen is suffering more than the rest, with dangerously low blood sugar and diarrhea.

  

Episode 6 - Episode 6

Survival expert, Bear Gryllslooks at how two groups from two different generations survived for 5 weeks on an uninhabited pacific island. Marooned with only a handful of basic tools and the clothes on their back, the castaways had to endure some of the most extreme weather yet as hurricane Otto battered their camp.
