Episode 1 - Red October to BarbarossaThe SOVIET UNION was formed on 30 December 1922 after five years of civil war. Joseph Stalin’s iron fist and the Great Purge gave him unopposed murderous rule over his country. Heroically defeated Hitler’s onslaught in Kursk and Stalingrad 1941-43 which effectively won WWII for the allies, and helped mark out his geopolitical world and power until his death in 1953.

Episode 2 - 100th Anniversary1950's Cold War increasing, the space race & the glorious Yuri Gagarin alongside, the Berlin Wall. Joining forces with Cuba and the building of missile sites there. The Cuban Missile Crisis brings the world to a precipice until JFK & Krushchev find a solution. One year later, JFK was assassinated and Brezhnev had replaced Krushchev as leader of Soviet Union.

Episode 3 - Revolution and DissolutionEscalation of Nuclear Missiles globally. Brezhnev Invades Czechoslovakia in 1968 while the proxy East v West war in Vietnam came to an end. The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 create trouble back home with the families seeing their sons dying in this senseless war. The end was in sight. With this new era came Gorbachev and his many bold statements, that led, withdrawal from Afghanistan and collapse of communism. The symbolic Berlin Wall comes down in 1989 with the end of the Soviet Union formally declared in August 1991.
