Season 1 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - 11 Years Later

We pick up with Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing), Jack (Sean Hayes), and Karen (Megan Mullally) 11 years since we last saw them. Will and Grace both falter when their political beliefs are put to the test. Jack and Karen help Will and Grace hide their secret shame from each other, but the truth finally comes out.

  

Episode 2 - Who's Your Daddy

Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack (Sean Hayes) try to date younger guys but find it challenging. Grace (Debra Messing) and Karen (Megan Mullally) experience a crisis that reveals Grace's true feelings about Karen.

  

Episode 3 - Emergency Contact

Grace (Debra Messing) is shocked to find that the emergency contact called by her doctor's office is ex-husband Leo (special guest star Harry Connick, Jr.), not Will (Eric McCormack). Jack (Sean Hayes) takes on a new job he never expected to love. Karen (Megan Mullally) befriends a 12-year-old girl in the Bronx, despite her best efforts.

  

Episode 4 - Grandpa Jack

Jack (Sean Hayes) is stunned to learn that his estranged son, Elliot (guest star Michael Angarano) has a son of his own, Skip (guest star Jet Jurgensmeyer). Moreover, Skip needs the kind of help only Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack can provide. Grace (Debra Messing) and Karen (Megan Mullally) behave badly with the hot new guy at work.

  

Episode 5 - How to Succeed in Business without Really Crying

Grace (Debra Messing) tries for her biggest job yet: decorating a string of boutique hotels for an obnoxious mogul (guest star Max Greenfield). Meanwhile, Will (Eric McCormack) is surprised at his reaction to making Senior Partner; Beverly Leslie (guest star Leslie Jordan) discloses his secret to Karen (Megan Mullally); and Jack (Sean Hayes) owns half of a winning lottery ticket.

  

Episode 6 - Rosario's Quinceanera

When Karen's (Megan Mullally) has trouble dealing with a personal tragedy, Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing), and Jack's (Sean Hayes) try to intervene. Will and Grace's new business relationship begins to show signs of stress.

  

Episode 7 - A Gay Olde Christmas

Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing), Karen (Megan Mullally), and Jack (Sean Hayes) wish they could have experienced Christmas in old New York City, but realize the past was not quite as romantic -- or open to diversity -- as they pictured it.

  

Episode 8 - Friends and Lover

Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) try to convince themselves they are okay with dating the same man, the charismatic ""Bad Boy of Bread"" (special guest star Nick Offerman). Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) get an annoying commercial jingle stuck in their heads and must seek medical attention.

  

Episode 9 - There's Something About Larry

Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace's (Debra Messing) old friend Larry (guest star Tim Bagley) decides he's in love with Will. On Jack's (Sean Hayes) first day as a Lyft driver, he hits his wacky neighbor Val (special guest star Molly Shannon). Karen (Megan Mullally) steps in to bail out Jack, but then needs Jack to bail her out.

  

Episode 10 - The Wedding

Will (Eric McCormack), Grace (Debra Messing), Jack (Sean Hayes), and Karen (Megan Mullally) attend the wedding of Will's ex-boyfriend, Vince (special guest star Bobby Cannavle). While Grace tries to keep Will from making a scene, Jack learns that his wedding hook-up has many strings attached.

           

Episode 11 - Staten Island Fairy

Jack's (Sean Hayes) intimacy issues are challenged by a closeted boyfriend. Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) sell their new line of bedding on TV.

  

Episode 12 - Three Wise Men

Grace (Debra Messing) is horrified to realize that she's dated three men from the same family. Will (Eric McCormack) and Karen (Megan Mullally) get on each other's nerves at the office until they bond over watching -- and producing -- their own little telenovela.

  

Episode 13 - Sweatshop Annie & The Annoying Baby Shower

A baby shower makes Grace (Debra Messing) and Will (Eric McCormack) question their life choices. Karen (Megan Mullally) and Jack (Sean Hayes) find a way to combine child labor with musical theater.

  

Episode 14 - The Beefcake and the Cake Beef

Will (Eric McCormack) rekindles a relationship with his first love against Jack's (Sean Hayes) advice. Grace (Debra Messing) reluctantly fights for Karen's (Megan Mullally) civil rights when a bakery refuses to make a cake she wants.

  

Episode 15 - One Job

Grace (Debra Messing) brings Will (Eric McCormack) for support when she goes home to celebrate her deceased mother's birthday. Jack's (Sean Hayes) faith in love is crushed after breaking up with Drew (guest star Ryan Pinkston) and uncovering a secret in Karen's (Megan Mullally) marriage.

  

Episode 16 - It's a Family Affair

Grace's (Debra Messing) father and Will's (Eric McCormack) mother end up making a surprising and upsetting connection. Jack (Sean Hayes) rebounds from his breakup with a new love. Karen (Megan Mullally) must decide between her husband and her lover.
