Episode 1 - Wye Valley

Danny builds his three children a stylish but affordable stilted house in the trees of the garden of his current bungalow. He has ambition but no experience as a self-builder.

  

Episode 3 - Gloucestershire Revisited

In 2013 Jon and Noreen planned to build a tree house on a half-acre of woodland in Gloucestershire. By 2016 the house was barely ready to move into. 7 years later Kevin returns.

Graeme and Melanie want their new home to celebrate their blended family. Squeezing the bright red-clad house with a 4 meter deep basement onto their tiny garage plot, proves a huge challenge.

In 2017, Leigh and Richard bought a derelict 17th century Cornish flour mill to restore. By January 2021 rooms and landscaping were still unfinished. Three years later Kevin returns.

In 2019, master carpenter Olaf and his partner Fritha built a triangular house on a tricky plot in West Sussex. Kevin returns to see how life has been for Olaf, Fritha and new daughter Lagertha.
