Official Trailer

Episode 1 - Future belongs to those wake up when I go to bed

Orelsan is a figure of French music. But 20 years ago, in Normandy, he never imagined doing rap for a living. Singing middleclass boredom in the provinces, who'd go for that? The only ones to believe in it are his three buddies Skread, Ablaye, Gringe, and his little brother Clément who keeps filming him, convinced that one day his brother will be a star.

Episode 2 - To make a movie all you need is something that can film

2006. Orelsan is a rapper from Caen, Normandy. In order to bring out his first album, he'll have to make his way by himself. The advent of MySpace is a boon, but he still has to sign with a label. Together with his buddies, still followed around by his brother Clément's camera, they challenge themselves to produce their own video clip, in Caen, and to get it aired on TV.

Episode 3 - Everything I say in my songs is cliché and false

2008. Orelsan is now on track to write an album, but none of his titles is radio-compatible. There is only one thing left to do: go and get his audience by performing on stage. Orel and his buddies, still followed around by his brother, Clément's camera, manage to set up a tour. While everything is going smoothly swimmingly, one of Orel's old songs surfaces again and triggers an outcry.

Episode 4 - We are the future

2010. A year after the controversy, Orelsan has totally stopped making music. When Skread and Ablaye finally persuade him to make a second album, the hardest part is to find how to come back. But the underdog from Normandy transforms himself and his second album is a hit. In front of his brother's camera, Orel is ready to experience his first tour, boosted by his very first ever-popular song.

Episode 5 - I will keep on with my bullshit until they take me seriously

2011. With Le Chant des Sirènes, Orelsan is playing in the big leagues. As a master of opposite moves, he takes everyone aback by deciding to discontinue his solo undertaking and revives the Casseurs Flowters band that he had founded with Gringe in the early 2000s. Gringe hasn't rapped in years, though... But once they recapture their world, their zany adventures come to life on CD, TV and film.

Episode 6 - I thought I would wake up one morning feeling like a man

2016. After the delightful period of the Casseurs Flowters, Orelsan wants to come back with a new solo album. However, five years have passed and rap music has changed. New trends, new artists. Is Orelsan still relevant? La Fête est finie allows him to close the chapter of his post-teen years and become an adult. It's a smashing success beyond all expectations.
