Episode 1 - Pilot

After Shawn Spencer convinces the police he is psychic in order to get out of an aiding and abetting charge, Interim Police Chief Vick hires him to help out on a high-profile kidnapping case, being led by Detective Lassiter. Shawn brings in his best friend Gus to help him find the missing man and they soon realize this kidnapping isn't what it seems to be. Episode 1 - Season 1, Episode 1: Psych

Episode 8 - The Red Phantom

Vick relents to let Shawn locate Deanna psychically while the cops follow conventional leads.

  

Episode 13 - Season 1, Episode 13: Game, Set...Muuurder?

He doesn’t want to call the police and Henry inadvertently made him think Shawn could help. Henry leaves just as Peterson arrives. He tells them that Brandon used to work for him but he fired him in an attempt at tough love. He’s been evicted from his apartment, had his cell phone turned off and forged a check of Peterson’s for thirty thousand dollars. Now’s he’s missing. Shawn and Gus, deliberately against Henry’s wishes, say they can help.

When the latest incarnation of American Idol rip-off shows sets up shop at the Arlington Theatre, the requisite cruel British judge (Tim Curry) finds himself in a panic after a series of near-miss attempts on his life. Police protection has been barely sufficient and now he's taking matters into his own hands to ward off his inevitable attacker, hiring Santa Barbara's most reliable psychic detective to protect him.

  

Episode 17 - Season 2, Episode 2: Sixty Five Million Years Off

Shawn finds himself alone out on a limb when he contends that a dead man who washes ashore was killed in a manner that misses the agreed death timeline- by approximately sixty five million years.

  

Episode 18 - Season 2, Episode 3: Psy vs. Psy

Following the trail of a counterfeiter, the "Feds" show up in Santa Barbara with their own version of Lassiter and their very own "Shawn," spawning a rivalry and causing our cast to ban together for the first time to save the integrity of the department and prove who has the better psychic.

  

Episode 19 - Season 2, Episode 4: Zero to Murder in Sixty Seconds

After Lassiter's car gets stolen from in front of the police station, Shawn solves the case in record time. But he soon realizes that, even with his considerable talents, nothing's ever that easy, and must then drag Gus away from his vacation to further investigate a case he's already solved.

  

Episode 20 - Season 2, Episode 5: And Down the Stretch Comes Murder

Shawn and Gus' childhood bully, Jimmy Nickels, who hasn't grown since sixth grade and is now a jockey, comes back into their lives when he hires them to find out why his horses keep losing. But a simple horse whispering assignment turns deadly when a rival jockey dies on his horse in the middle of a race. Guest starring Howard Hesseman.

  

Episode 21 - Season 2, Episode 6: Meat Is Murder... But Murder Is Also Murder

When a chef is accused of killing a prominent restaurant critic with poisonous mushrooms, it's up to Shawn and Gus to make sure the real killer gets his "just desserts." John Amos guest stars.

  

Episode 22 - Season 2, Episode 7: If You're So Smart, Then Why Are You Dead?

A group of genius teenagers from a school for gifted students claims one of their teachers is a murderer. After striking out with the police, their last hope is Shawn and Gus, who go undercover and soon discover the kids' imaginations might not be so wild after all.

  

Episode 23 - Season 2, Episode 8: Rob-A-Bye Baby

A highly accomplished burglary ring is hitting Santa Barbara homes, all in the middle of the day, leaving no trace of how they gained access. Shawn and Gus want on the case, but Interim Chief Vick has an even more important job for them -- she needs them to find her a new nanny. A task they readily accept as a way into the burglary case.

  

Episode 24 - Season 2, Episode 9: Bounty Hunters!

When an accused murderer goes on the lam, Shawn and Gus play bounty hunter, racing "Midnight Run" style to bring him in before the cops and a real bounty hunter get him first. However, the chase gets complicated when Shawn realizes the guy they are bringing in is innocent. Guest starring Kevin Sorbo.

  

Episode 25 - Season 2, Episode 10: Gus' Dad May Have Killed an Old Guy

When Shawn and Henry are invited to have Christmas dinner with Gus' parents (guest stars Phylicia Rashad and Ernie Hudson), the yuletide cheer is interrupted by ... murder. A neighbor is found dead and all the evidence points to Gus' dad as the culprit. Can Shawn and Gus work their usual magic when the case is so personal?

  

Episode 26 - Season 2, Episode 11: There's Something About Mira

Shawn and Gus are being followed by the worst P.I. ever. Shawn's actually taken pictures of himself being surveilled over the last few days. Finally they confront their stalker, who lights a cigarette and confesses that he was hired by Gus' wife. Gus admits to a shocked Shawn that he met Mira Gaffney when he was in Mexico on Spring Break in 1997. She was crazy and could get him to do things no one else could, like skydiving and getting married on a drunken binge. Shawn insists on coming with Gus to meet her and Gus agrees, making Shawn promise not to let him get sucked back into Hurricane Mira again.

  

Episode 27 - Season 2, Episode 12: The Old and the Restless

Shawn and Gus have run into a problem on their latest case. They are investigating the disappearance of Oswald Chester in a place that is impossible to sneak into: Glorious Pines, the most exclusive retirement community in Santa Barbara. They convince Henry to go undercover as Talmadge McGulager, who has actually gotten in off the wait list.

  

Episode 28 - Season 2, Episode 13: Lights, Camera...Homicidio

The police have called Shawn and Gus down to the television studio. There has been a murder on the set of the telenovela "Explosion Gigantesca de Romance," Gus’ favorite soap opera. But when they get to the set, Lassiter says Juliet jumped the gun calling them and the case is open and shut, in fact the whole thing was caught on tape. One of the actors, Jorge Gama-Lobo stabbed the victim during one of the scenes. But Jorge insists someone switched the prop knife for a real one without his knowledge.

  

Episode 29 - Season 2, Episode 14: Dis-Lodged

Henry is sick, Shawn tells Gus. He called to cancel their weekend camping trip in the mountains and Shawn couldn't be more thrilled, until he catches his dad driving through town, the picture of health. Now Shawn has to know why he was ditched, and he and Gus follow Henry to the Monarch Lodge, where they discover Henry is a member. After Shawn perfectly repeats the secret handshake, they enter the lodge to find Henry in a room full of robed lodge members, surrounding a dead body on the floor. The brothers have called Henry in for help, but he insists he's retired both from the force and the lodge and calls the police.

  

Episode 30 - Season 2, Episode 15: Black and Tan: A Crime of Fashion

It’s Gus’ birthday and Shawn gets him the ultimate present. They are both on the VIP list for the fall launch party for Ciao clothing as the modeling team "Black and Tan." Once in, Gus is excited to see his favorite unknown model, Berlinda Desidovicz, and as he goes over to talk to her, Shawn notices one of Ciao’s owners, Ciaobella, berate her assistant and throw a green shake onto the ground. Just then, the other owner, Ciaobella’s husband Gregor Uwe-Steeb, gets up to give a speech. He starts by saying he did all the designs for the new line, then as he reaches down to adjust the mic stand, he’s electrocuted to death.

  

Episode 31 - Season 2, Episode 16: Shawn (And Gus) Of the Dead

It’s four a.m. and an alarm is going off at the Santa Barbara History Museum. Lassiter and Juliet rush in to find that the mummy from the exhibit that opened yesterday is missing along with Hastings, the night watchman, who it turns out has a criminal record. That, combined with the fact that the mummy, along with everything else in the museum, is of so little monetary value that the board of directors keeps postponing the overhaul of the security system, leads Lassiter to conclude this case isn’t worth his time. But Sophie, the assistant curator, thinks there’s something potentially supernatural going on and she wants the paleosleuth who discovered Zippy the Dinosaur on the case. For once, Lassiter is happy to oblige.

  

Episode 32 - Season 3, Episode 1: Ghosts

Shawn’s mother Madeleine is back in town to conduct psych evaluations for the police department, and the way she can Henry easily fell back into old habits has Shawn out of sorts. Unfortunately, Gus can’t offer moral support because his has his own trouble at work. His supervisor Ogletree found out Gus had been moonlighting at the Psych agency, which is not only against the rules of the exclusivity contract he has with Central Coast, it also has been eating into company time. Ogletree gives him an ultimatum. He either quits the Psych agency or he’s fired. Cybill Shepherd, Todd Stashwick and Christopher McDonald guest star.

  

Episode 33 - Season 3, Episode 2: Murder?...Anyone?...Anyone?...Bueller?

Gus has worked long and hard organizing their high school reunion, so when Shawn claims one of their fellow alumni has been murdered and his body has been hidden, Gus refuses to believe him. Shawn must now try to solve a case no one thinks exists before the reunion ends and the attendees escape back to their grown up lives. Cybill Shepherd and Rachael Leigh Cook guest star.

  

Episode 34 - Season 3, Episode 3: Daredevils!!

When Shawn and Gus get tickets to a daredevil show as payment for a job, Shawn notices that Dutch "The Clutch" Jenkins’ fuel line has been cut just as his motorcycle flies through a ring of fire. Luckily Dutch survives the stunt, and Shawn, convince that someone tried to kill him, thinks the culprit will try again. He and Gus head backstage, where they express their fears to Louis, Dutch’s son, who tells them something similar happened on his father’s last two stunts. He’d love to hire a psychic detective to get to the bottom of things but money is tight for the family right now. After Shawn offers their services in exchange for an autograph, Louis tells them that Dutch is a skeptic who keeps his inner circle locked down tight but he has an idea how to get around that. Jeff Fahey guest stars.

  

Episode 35 - Season 3, Episode 4: The Greatest Adventure in the History of Basic Cable

Shawn, Gus and Henry return from a night at the movies to find that Henry’s younger brother Jack is back in town and has broken into the house. Jack always wants something and when Henry questions his motives for being back, he confesses that he wants their help to find the French pirate Bouchard’s hidden treasure. Henry claims the legend of Bouchard’s cache of stolen Spanish gold is just a story and the treasure doesn’t exist. But Jack proves him wrong as he pulls out an ancient treasure map he discovered while traveling in Argentina. Apparently, after a battle with the Spanish fleet and the Chumash Indians, Bouchard made off with the gold then disappeared at sea, only to turn up in Argentina years later. Now Jack, armed with a map and a psychic detective, is positive he can find the treasure, and offers Shawn and Gus a fiftyfifty split.

  

Episode 36 - Season 3, Episode 5: Disco Didn't Die. It Was Murdered!

Chief Vick calls Shawn and Gus to the station after a handful of old convictions get overturned. They have to reopen all the investigations and need Shawn’s help on one in particular-Eugene Franks, who was caught with explosives meant to bomb police headquarters. It was the biggest case of Henry’s career but Vick stresses that he can in no way be involved in the investigation. Henry’s no longer on the force and could compromise any new evidence they find. But by the time Shawn and Gus get back to the Psych office, Henry is there waiting for them and wants in. Shawn refuses. As Henry leaves, he stresses that he knows he got the right guy and stopping him saved a lot of lives. Jere Burns and Ted Lange guest star.

  

Episode 37 - Season 3, Episode 6: There Might Be Blood

After Safety Inspector Butch Hicks falls to his death off an offshore oilrig, Chief Vick enlists Shawn and Gus’ help with the case. As she takes them out to the crime scene on the police boat, she tells them they received an anonymous tip that something highly unsafe was happening on the rig and the caller was risking his life to warn them. When Shawn and Gus ask why she didn’t enlist help from her detectives or the Coast Guard, she tells them they are working more in an unofficial capacity. Just then, they are pulled over by the Coast Guard, whose commander, Barbara Dunbar, questions Vick’s authority over the Hicks case. As they are arguing over jurisdictional lines, Shawn realizes they are sisters.

  

Episode 38 - Season 3, Episode 7: Talk Derby to Me

Vick calls Shawn and Gus in after a group of fast moving and highly organized thieves pull a smash and grab at a department store. It is the third such hit in a month and the cops have no leads. Gus is a little distracted as he’s studying for his pharmaceutical rep recertification exam and is annoyed when some green goo from the store ends up on his study guide. As soon as Shawn takes a look at the security tapes, he knows immediately that the perpetrators were women. On the way out of the store, the sees skid marks across the floor and puts it together-the thieves are roller derby athletes.

  

Episode 39 - Season 3, Episode 8: Gus Walks Into a Bank

Gus leaves Shawn waiting in the car while he goes inside a bank to make a deposit. He’s only in there a few minutes before a woman spots a gun in the jacket pocket of another customer. She screams and the man is forced to pull out his weapon and take everyone in the bank hostage. One of the tellers hits the silent alarm button, bringing the cops screeching outside the bank next to Shawn, who is unaware of what has just transpired inside. The cops quickly set up a command center and are able to access the security feed from the bank. Shawn steps away from the crowd and dials Gus’ cell phone. Inside the bank, the gunman hears a cell phone ring and becomes agitated. The gunman destroys Gus’ cell and confiscates the phones of all the other hostages. Luntz calls into the bank to start negotiating and is quickly able to get the gunman to give up his name, Phil Stubbins...

  

Episode 40 - Season 3, Episode 9: Christmas Joy

After Shawn and Gus help a little girl get a mall Santa out of jail in time for Christmas, they realize their clients are con men who have a big score planned. Helping them with their investigation is Gus' sister Joy, in town for the holidays and looking to repeat a one time fling she had with Shawn, who is determined to keep his best friend from ever finding out. Phylicia Rashad and Keith David guest star as Mr. and Mrs. Guster, with John Landis directing the episode.

  

Episode 41 - Season 3, Episode 10: Six Feet Under the Sea

When Shabby the Sea Lion is found dead after being released into the wild, Shawn sets out to prove it was murder and stumbles onto a bigger conspiracy. At the funeral Shawn goes up to pay his respects to Shabby’s open casket and notices a strange hole in his flipper. He tells Gus he thinks Shabby was murdered when April McCarthur, an official looking woman wearing an aquarium pin, overhears and promptly asks them both to follow her out of the funeral. Gus is annoyed with Shawn for getting them kicked out, but April tells them that she has had similar suspicions regarding the circumstances of Shabby’s death. Labayda’s cameraman slows as he hears them talking, so April asks if she can meet them somewhere later. Ted McGinley guest stars.

  

Episode 42 - Season 3, Episode 11: Lassie Did a Bad, Bad Thing

There’s a thunderstorm in Santa Barbara that has been causing the electricity to flicker on and off, but that doesn’t stop Lassiter from making the bust of his career. Five years ago, he arrested Ernesto Chavez, second in command of the Cinco Reyes street gang, but the D.A. couldn’t make the charges stick and Chavez disappeared. This time around, they’ve got enough hard evidence to get a conviction, something that Detective Drimmer and his gang unit has been unable to do. Everyone turns to watch Lassiter bring in Chavez. Lassiter then hands off Chavez to be processed and put in a cell as he is called into Vick’s office where the FBI is waiting for him. Lassiter is furious to learn that Chavez cut a deal with the Feds and will be entering a witness relocation program, thus avoiding prosecution. Vick orders an angry Lassiter to retrieve Chavez from his cell and turn him over. He leaves and the lights flicker out once again, only this time a shot is heard in the darkness. The lights come back on and everyone runs down to the holding cells to find Lassiter standing over a dead Chavez with a smoking gun in his hands.

  

Episode 43 - Season 3, Episode 12: Earth, Wind and...Wait for It

Arson Inspector Morgan Conrad comes to the police for help investigating a building burned down under what she believes to be suspicious circumstances. Shawn and Gus join up with a local firehouse to prove this fire is part of a series of arsons are more than they seem. At the scene Shawn, Gus, Lassiter and Juliet run into Morgan's boss, Army Johnson, who tells them that the building had no fire insurance, so there is not motive for arson. Plus, arson is so rare, he hasn’t seen a case since way back to his firefighting days. But Morgan counters that one of the firemen on the scene reported smelling something sweet, a sign of an accelerant. As Shawn looks around the scene, he notices that one of the walls lacks insulation. He graves a pipe and smashes it into the wall, revealing a blackened skeleton hidden inside. Now it’s not just arson, it’s murder.

  

Episode 44 - Season 3, Episode 13: Any Given Friday Night at 10PM, 9PM Central

Shawn and Gus go undercover at a professional football training camp when the foot of the team's missing kicker, Vlad Alexavic, is discovered by hikers on a trail near Lake Cachuma. Mykelti Williamson guest stars as the head coach. Shawn and Gus meet Lassiter and Juliet at team training camp where they talk to the coach, Sammy Winslow, a retired quarterback and childhood hero of Shawn’s. Sammy is shocked to hear about Vlad and grants them access to the team. Lassiter and Juliet interview player Matt Tompkins who tells them he heard Vlad owed bookies and recently lost even more money after failing to open a nightclub with one of his Russian cousins. Meanwhile, Shawn and Gus find Vlad’s cell phone in his locker and see that he received a threatening text message. Lassiter thinks it all points to the Russian mob but Shawn worries the evidence was too easy to find. As the cops get a proper search warrant for Vlad’s belongings, Shawn and Gus talk Sammy into letting them investigate undercover with the team.

  

Episode 45 - Season 3, Episode 14: Truer Lies

Shawn and Gus are at the police station when the cops bring in Ryan Bainsworth, a notorious compulsive liar, for murder. Ryan has called in countless tips only to lead the cops on wild goose chases. It looks like this time Ryan actually committed a crime himself... Ryan claims that he asked his super to fix his disposal after clogging it with cinnamon sticks and lemon wedges from a marinade and to check the pipes because the polarity is off and the water drains counterclockwise. When he got home he found his super bloody on the floor and tried to revive him. He insists the real culprits are actually two hired assassins.

  

Episode 46 - Season 3, Episode 15: Tuesday the 17th

Shawn and Gus are hired by a childhood friend to find missing camp counselor Annie, who disappeared near their old sleep away campgrounds. Upon their arrival, spooky activity abounds and they must uncover if the dark past of the abandoned camp has come back to life. And, oh yeah, Justine Bateman guest stars as Lassiter's estranged wife Victoria!

  

Episode 47 - Season 3, Episode 16: An Evening with Mr. Yang

The Yin Yang Killer, a serial killer who was active when Henry was a cop then went silent, is back and wants to toy with the department again, this time singling out Shawn as his primary playmate. Mr. Yang challenges the cops with the opportunity to save his victims by solving his riddles. Yang has just sent them another one, along with a stopwatch. They have an hour and ten minutes to solve the riddle and save his latest victim. Cybill Shepherd and Rachael Leigh Cook reprise their roles in the season finale ... and watch for a secret celebrity in the role of Mr. Yang!

  

Episode 48 - Season 4, Episode 1: Extradition: British Columbia

Shawn and Gus are on the slopes on their ski vacation in Whistler, British Columbia when Shawn spots wanted international art thief Pierre Despereaux (Cary Elwes). Despereaux is so good, he’s never left enough evidence behind to be formally accused and so promptly gives Shawn and Gus the slip. Lassiter and Juliet arrive in Canada just in time to meet Shawn and Gus at Despereaux’s latest crime scene. Lassiter sees all the telltale signs of Despereaux-no fingerprints, no alarms tripped and a signature Merchanteuse Blonde cigarette burning in an ashtray-but not Despereaux himself. After several failed attempts, Shawn realizes that to catch Despereaux he has to beat him at his own game!

  

Episode 49 - Season 4, Episode 2: He Dead

Chief Vick calls Shawn and Gus to the forest to aid in the search for billionaire Warren Clayton’s downed plane. They arrive at the wreckage before the police and find Clayton inside, barely alive. He manages to cough out the word "Waterloo," and asks them to find out who killed him. Clayton's widow, Alice (Christine Baranski), says that’s the name of the 18th hole at the club where he wanted his ashes scattered. Alice invites them to dinner, where Shawn meets the housekeeper Rosa (Carmen Moore), and Clayton’s son Garvin (Ryan Kennedy). After making some visual connections Shawn quickly realizes that realizes that everyone in the Clayton household had a motive.

  

Episode 50 - Season 4, Episode 3: High Noon-Ish

Lassiter enlists the services of Shawn and Gus to uncover the truth about the strange occurrences happening in Old Sonora, a former historic mining town turned Old West tourist attraction where Lassiter spent most of his weekends as a child. Shawn and Gus spend the night with Sheriff Hank (James Brolin) who tells them of the legend of the Ghost Rider, a spirit that supposedly haunts the town. When Hank leaves to check on some riled horses and doesn't return Shawn and Gus find him as well as the horses and two fence posts missing. They turn towards a sound of thunder to see a stampede of horses headed straight for them!

  

Episode 51 - Season 4, Episode 4: The Devil Is in the Details...And in the Upstairs Bedroom

After Agatha (Melanie Bray), a student at a Catholic college, jumps off the roof of a building, Gus drags Shawn to the school to investigate as a favor to an old teacher, Father Westley (Ray Wise). Lassiter and Juliet are already there speaking with Westley and headmaster Father Bard (Tim Conlon), who explain that Agatha was a model student until three weeks ago when she suddenly started acting irrationally. Lassiter thinks it's murder, Shawn is leaning towards suicide, while Father Westley believes she was possessed. Despite being roundly dismissed, even by Father Bard, Westley is insistent and Gus agrees to take the case, over Shawn’s objections.

  

Episode 52 - Season 4, Episode 5: Shawn Gets the Yips

After a police department baseball game, the whole gang heads to a bar to celebrate McNab’s (Sage Brocklebank) birthday. As the waiters bring out the cake, Shawn spots a hooded man by the register with a bulge in his jacket. He runs to warn Lassiter who pulls out his weapons just as the hooded man starts to fire. After a barrage of bullets, the man manages to escape. The cops call it as an attempted robbery but Shawn claims the man came there specifically to kill one of them. He believes he will try again, but suggests that if they can figure out which one of them was the target, it will give them a clue to the man’s identity.

  

Episode 53 - Season 4, Episode 6: Bollywood Homicide

Raj (Sendhil Ramamurthy) waits in an alley to meet his girlfriend Mina (Azita Ghanizada), a dancer in a local Bollywoodproduction, who he has been secretly dating. She sneaks outside on a break from the show, but is nearly killed when a runaway truck narrowly misses her. A distraught Raj goes to the police station, where he confesses to not only hurting Mina, but all of the women he has loved, claiming he’s cursed! Shawn and Gus take the case, thinking it will be an easy one since there is no such thing as curses... Or is there?

  

Episode 54 - Season 4, Episode 7: High Top Fade Out

Leonard "Diddle" Callahan (Demond Dann), a college friend of Gus is chased by armed assailants and when he reaches his apartment building, drops his bike and runs inside. Before the men break in and asphyxiate him Diddle pulls a digital camcorder from his backpack and is able to email out its contents. Shawn and Gus attend Diddle's funeral where Shawn discovers that Gus was in a singing group with Diddle and their other friends Tony (Jaleel White) and Joon (Kenan Thompson), but he has been estranged from them for years and refuses to say why. When Tony and Joon are able to speak to Shawn alone they tell him Diddle was way too careful on his bike to die in an accident. They believe he was murdered, and they hire Shawn to find out what happened.

  

Episode 55 - Season 4, Episode 8: Let's Get Hairy

Stewart Gimbley (Joshua Malina) bursts into the Psych office looking for help from Shawn and Gus after the police refuse him. Stewart hands them a gun with silver bullets and wants the guys to lock him up and observe him overnight because Stewart believes he’s a werewolf. He offers them three times their rate and they readily accept, thinking it will be easy money. After Shawn and Gus tie Stewart up and fall asleep for the night, they are suddenly wakened by the sound of the window shattering. Stewart is gone and a tuft of grey animal hair dangles from a shard of glass. Later that night two hunters are found brutally attacked in the woods and Shawn and Gus think they know the cause.

  

Episode 56 - Season 4, Episode 9: Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark

Juliet and Lassiter meet Gus at a vehicle storage yard in the middle of the night after Gus receives a message from Shawn telling him that he’d solved their case and to meet him there. When Shawn doesn't show up they grow worried especially after Lassiter finds blood on the ground and they realize Shawn’s been shot and kidnapped. Lassiter and Henry team up to track him down, while Gus and Juliet retrace the steps of Shawn’s latest investigation.

  

Episode 57 - Season 4, Episode 10: You Can't Handle This Episode

Lassiter and Juliet are at the scene of a possible suicide with Gus, Shawn and Abigail. While it appears that the victim hung himself, Shawn notices signs of murder and discovers dog tags stuffed down the dead man’s throat. This is not just a murder, now it’s a military crime, which poses jurisdictional problems. Juliet says she knows someone who might be able to help with that, and calls her brother, Ewan (John Cena), an ex-military colleague who is now hired out by the government for covert missions. He is able to tell Juliet that swallowing dog tags is a sign of shame. but the autopsy report comes in, supporting the murder theory and the team investigates.

  

Episode 58 - Season 4, Episode 11: Thrill Seekers and Hell Raisers

After Gus finally reveals his secret girlfriend Ruby (Sarah Shahi) to Shawn, Shawn’s first impression of her is a good one, but he insists on meeting her friends to vet her further. The two end up crashing what Gus thinks is a picnic with Ruby and her friends Jessica (Stacy Keibler), Derek (Steve Howey) and Stu (Bradley Stryker). But the guys soon learn they have walked into a river-rafting trip instead. Ruby is thrown at first, saying there is not enough room, but then relents and hooks them up with gear. Shawn thinks Ruby might be hiding something, and uses his "psychic" abilities to break the ice with her friends and finds what binds them all together is an interest in extreme sports. Shawn and Gus realize they are on a white water trip just before they hit the rapids, and they hold on for dear life. When they come out the other side, they realize Stu is missing.

  

Episode 59 - Season 4, Episode 12: A Very Juliet Episode

Juliet goes to the train station to meet Scott Seaver (Josh Braaten), her college boyfriend, to make good on the pact they made to meet there exactly seven years after saying goodbye. When Scott never shows up Juliet grows curious and uses police resources to track him down, but Vick puts a stop to that before she can find anything. Juliet enlists the help of Gus and asks him to keep Shawn out of it because of their romantic history. Gus' cover is quickly blown when Shawn figures out he is doing something behind his back and Shawn joins the investigation as well.

  

Episode 60 - Season 4, Episode 13: Death Is in the Air

Donny Lieberman (Ernie Grunwald), a courier for a service that caters to biomedical companies, comes to Shawn and Gus for help after he wakes up from being very drunk the night before and comes to realize that he has lost a GenuTech cooler containing the deadly Thornburg virus. At the same time, a blonde woman stumbles around a convenience store and starts bleeding from the eyes before she falls down dead. Shawn and Gus get to the crime scene where Shawn psychically reveals that the woman died from the Thornburg virus. After more reports of cases that appear to be related to the deadly virus their only chance is to contain the outbreak.

  

Episode 61 - Season 4, Episode 14: Think Tank

Walter Snowden (Bruce Davison), a man who runs a private security firm, wants to hire Shawn to be part of a think tank working with billionaire businessman Ashton Bonaventure (Chris Sarandon) to prevent his assassination. Shawn and Gus arrive at the security offices where Snowden tells them he has provided everything for them off their contract rider, from bubble gum to an air horn. Snowden give them a brief bio on Bonaventure, who is in town to give a speech to his board of directors. His hostile takeovers and layoffs have made him many enemies and the attempts on his life are getting closer to success. Shawn and Gus meet the other members of the team - Boyd (Miguel Ferrer), a retired Secret Service agent, Svetlana (Sandra Hess), a former hit woman for the KGB, and Zenuk (Alex Zahara), a crime statistician. The team is told to brainstorm ways to kill Bonaventure in order to prevent such an assassination, but every angle Shawn and Gus come up with is scoffed at. Out of ideas, they head to the police station to get inspiration from Lassiter, who refuses to help them. He is working with Bonaventure’s security team already, but he has never heard of Snowden.

  

Episode 62 - Season 4, Episode 15: The Head, The Tail, The Whole Damn Episode

A man is chumming the waters off of a boat at night, when a shark jumps out and latches onto his arm, dragging him into the sea. Lassiter and Juliet are at the beach the next morning where the body of what appears to be a shark attack victim has washed ashore. Lassiter thinks he sees what might be a knife wound among the shark bites. He proclaims to the press that the victim was murdered and the reporters crucify him, but Shawn is on board with his theory, having spotted the possible knife wound himself. When the coroner can’t identify the victim off of fingerprints since the fingers are still in the shark along with the victim’s wallet, Lassiter says he’ll put out a bulletin for anyone who catches the shark so they can at least identify the man. Shawn still pushes the murder angle.

  

Episode 63 - Season 4, Episode 16: Mr. Yin Presents...

When Shawn arrives late to meet Gus at a screening of Psycho, he has to squeeze down the row past other theatergoers to take his seat. On their way out of the theater, they are surprised to meet Mary Lightly (Jimmi Simpson), who helped them track serial killer Mr. Yang. Mary takes them to a diner, where they discuss Yang’s new book that has just been released and Mary points out that, according to the book, Yang could not have been working alone. Shawn and Gus don’t believe it, and leave the diner - and the Yang case - behind. Later they are called to a crime scene to find the waitress from the diner murdered and her body arranged into a Yin/Yang symbol.

  

Episode 64 - Season 5, Episode 1: Romeo and Juliet and Juliet

Shawn and Gus find themselves caught between two rival Chinese Triad families as they search for one of the leader's abducted daughter.

  

Episode 65 - Season 5, Episode 2: Feet, Don't Kill Me Now

When a woman is found dead with a bottle of pills that are lab trial samples, Lassiter and Gus, who are taking the same tap class, team up to dance their way to catching a murderer.

  

Episode 66 - Season 5, Episode 3: Not Even Close, Encounters

Shawn and Gus get themselves hired onto the case when an unstable lawyer claims his assistant was abducted by aliens.

Episode 73 - Season 5, Episode 10: Extradition II: The Actual Extradition Part

Shawn and Gus return to Vancouver to visit their old nemesis Despereaux in prison at the felon's request, who then uses them to escape and pull one last job before he is extradited to the United States. Only while he is out, he is framed for the murder of a Crown Attorney and now asks the guys for help clearing his name of this most recent - and frankly unseemly - charge. Guest starring Cary Elwes.

  

Episode 74 - Season 5, Episode 11: In Plain Fright

While on the haunted house ride at Santa Barbara's Scare Fest, Shawn and Gus witness a murder and are soon led to believe the person who committed it is the ghost of a man who fell to his death at Scare Fest 13 years ago. Nora Dunn and Jerry Shea guest star.

  

Episode 75 - Season 5, Episode 12: Dual Spires

Shawn and Gus receive a mysterious email inviting them to the Cinnamon Festival in Dual Spires, a quirky small town nearly invisible on a map. They arrive to find themselves embroiled in the mystery of the drowning death of a teenage girl -- who was declared dead under similar circumstances seven years ago in Santa Barbara. Episode 76 - Season 5, Episode 13: We'd Like to Thank the Academy

Shawn and Gus help the SBPD solve a case, but are soon reprimanded for their efforts because they did not follow police procedure. As a result, Chief Vick arranges for them to take a 3 week crash course at the Police Academy, but in true Shawn and Gus fashion, they end up resorting back to their rogue investigation styles regardless.

  

Episode 77 - Season 5, Episode 14: The Polarizing Express

Shawn's antics cause evidence to be thrown out in the high profile prosecution of a known crime lord named Czarsky, resulting in the dismissal of the entire case and the firings of not only the Psych agency but also of Henry as their liaison. After Henry wonders to Shawn what life would have been like in Santa Barbara if he had never returned, Shawn travels through a series of dreams which answer that question and aid him in discovering a new way to bust Czarsky for good. Episode 78 - Season 5, Episode 15: Dead Bear Walking

After the zoo's polar bear trainer is murdered unexpectedly, officials are quick to point the finger at the polar bear, but Shawn believes the animal to be innocent, resulting in Shawn becoming an advocate for the bear and embarking on a desperate search for the real murderer.

  

Episode 79 - Season 5, Episode 16: Yang 3 in 2D

The Yin/Yang trilogy comes to a thrilling close as Shawn and Gus race to save a woman kidnapped by Yin. Episode 80 - Season 6, Episode 1: Shawn Rescues Darth Vader

While on a mission to retrieve a stolen Darth Vader collector's item from the British Ambassador's son at the British Consulate Residence in Santa Barbara, Shawn finds a dead body left in one of the rooms. In order to get the SBPD on the case to find her killer, Shawn tells Lassiter and Juliet that the image of a dead body at the British Consulate Residence came to him in a psychic vision. However, Shawn's credibility as a "psychic" could be placed in jeopardy if the SBPD finds out he actually witnessed the dead body in person and didn't "divine" the image of her murder. Episode 81 - Season 6, Episode 2: Last Night Gus

Shawn, Gus, Lassiter, and Woody the coroner wake up in the Psych Office having no recollection of what happened the night before. When a body shows up dead, all leads initially point to our guys as being the culprits, but since they have no idea why they have no memory of this, they conclude that someone must have drugged them. From there, they conduct an investigation using clues and blurred Shawn Vision Flashbacks in order to exonerate themselves as well as find the real killer. Episode 82 - Season 6, Episode 3: This Episode Sucks

Episode 83 - Season 6, Episode 4: The Amazing Psych Man & Tap-Man, Issue # 2

Shawn and Gus investigate the whereabouts of a mysterious, masked vigilante named The Mantis who is trying to take down a local drug syndicate called The Caminos. The SBPD is also trying to take down The Camino Syndicate, however The Mantis seems to always be one step ahead of everyone's game. Guest Stars: Joey McIntyre, Miles Fisher.

  

Episode 84 - Season 6, Episode 5: Dead Man's Curveball

After the hitting coach of Santa Barbara's minor league baseball team mysteriously drops dead, the team's manager hires Psych to investigate by having Shawn go undercover as the new hitting instructor and having Gus stepping in as the team mascot, the Seabird. Episode 85 - Season 6, Episode 6: Shawn Interrupted

A billionaire accused of murdering his assistant is found not guilty by reason of insanity, therefore causing the SBPD to send Shawn and Gus undercover into the Mental Hospital he is being held in order to prove he lied to the jury and is actually sane. Juliet gets a visit from her estranged father, a charming con man who wants to mend his broken relationship with his daughter, but when the opportunity to pull off a dream con is presented to him, his decision to stay on the right side of the law becomes more complicated. Episode 87 - Season 6, Episode 8: The Tao of Gus

After a woman tells the SBPD she witnessed a murder happen in broad daylight, Shawn and Gus are the only ones who believe her and therefore protect her by hiding her at a remote commune called Box Canyon Ranch, a place whose inhabitants label themselves as progressive intellectuals.
