Season 3 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - The Big Bang

Divorced working mother Christine Campbell (series star JULIA LOUIS-DREYFUS) successfully juggles the daily stresses of motherhood and her business. Christine owns a women's 30-minute workout gym with her best friend, Barb (series star WANDA SYKES). Her 10-year-old son, Ritchie (series star TREVOR GAGNON), attends a posh private school, where Christine endures endless encounters with two snooty stay-at-home moms, Marly (series star TRICIA O'KELLEY) and Lindsay (series star ALEX KAPP HORNER). Christine's twentysomething brother, Matthew (series star HAMISH LINKLATER), lives with her and, in a pinch, serves as Ritchie's babysitter. Christine gets along with her charming ex-husband, Richard (series star CLARK GREGG), even better than when they were married, but her life got a lot more complicated after she met Richard's new girlfriend: a nice, young, impossible-to-hate woman also named Christine (series star EMILY RUTHERFURD) -- the "new" Christine.

  

Episode 2 - Beauty Is Only Spanx Deep

After a pretty young waitress flirts with Mr. Harris (recurring guest star BLAIR UNDERWOOD), Christine worries he will leave her for someone younger and visits a plastic surgeon. Guest star ANDY RICHTER ("Andy Richter Controls the Universe") appears as Christine's ex-lover, Stan (a.k.a. "Sad Dad").

Christine is shocked when a new dad at Ritchie's school calls her a "meanie mom" for being judgmental and standoffish, and dumps her for Marly and Lindsay.

  

Episode 4 - Traffic

Christine promises to accompany Mr. Harris (recurring guest star BLAIR UNDERWOOD) to an important event, but leaves him hanging when Ritchie's soccer game runs long.

  

Episode 5 - Between a Rock and a Hard Place

Christine attempts to stop sulking and get over her breakup with Mr. Harris (recurring guest star BLAIR UNDERWOOD). Meanwhile, Matthew goes to therapy and learns that his intimacy issues are not due to his dysfunctional relationship with his mother, but from his overly intimate and codependent relationship with his sister, Christine.

  

Episode 6 - The New Adventures of Old Christine

Christine reluctantly lets New Christine set her up on a blind date, but the date goes from bad to worse as Christine discovers he is not who he made himself out to be.

  

Episode 7 - House

When Christine learns that Richard and New Christine bought the house she had always dreamed of, she tries to contain her jealousy and attempts to feel genuinely happy for them.

     

Episode 8 - Burning Down the House

Christine considers taking a walk on the wild side in order to make Barb think she's not a square. DAVE FOLEY ("NewsRadio," "The Kids in the Hall") returns to guest star as Richard's friend, Tom, with whom Christine once went on a date.

  

Episode 9 - The Happy Couple

After discovering that Barb and Matthew spent the night together, Christine forbids them to see one another. But Matthew and Barb, who are still determining whether to be a couple after the intimate night, pretend to be inseparable.

  

Episode 10 - One and a Half Men

When Christine's gynecologist (guest star JASON ALEXANDER - "Seinfeld") suggests that her flu-like symptoms may be her experiencing perimenopause, Christine tries to take charge of her hormones.
