The youngest of four siblings.
In 1984, signed as a model with FORD Modeling Agency after winning the Supermodel of The World Contest.
Won the lead role in Coming to America (1988) in an audition process that included over two thousand actresses.
Featured in Will Smith's "The Wild Wild West" music video.
Was nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her performance in 413 Hope St. even though the show only lasted 10 episodes.
