Episode 1 - Winter's Warning

In Kavik, Sue’s camp is being harassed by grizzly bears. Meanwhile, in Eagle, Andy and Kate have run out of fish - their most vital resource.

  

Episode 2 - Deadly Grounds

With winter approaching fast, life in the Alaska bush becomes a struggle to gather resources and get prepared for the freeze. Erik goes to extreme heights on Kodiak Island, pushing the limits with a rare chance to hunt elusive prey.

  

Episode 3 - Dark Times Ahead

In Alaska, Dark Winter is just around the corner, and Chip and Agnes must set out for their yearly autumn moose hunt.

  

Episode 4 - Calling the Wild

In Eagle, deadly river conditions mean that Andy and Kate must cut a new trail through dense forest to access vital resources. In Kavik, Sue is waiting for a life-saving fuel delivery, but a missing pump connector means the fuel might not get unloaded.

  

Episode 5 - Fire and Ice

In Wiseman, Erik must protect his meat from rogue scavengers, while in Noorvik, the Hailstones battle thick ice to bring home essential food.

     

Episode 6 - Thin Ice

A strange warm-up has swept through the Arctic, leaving the camps scrambling to prepare for what lies ahead. Newcomer Cody Allen hopes to learn the intricacies of dog mushing, while for Erik Salitan fur trapping is an important source of income.

  

Episode 7 - Return to the Wild

In Eagle, Andy's apprentice makes a costly mistake and runs out of the wood that heats his tent and keeps him alive. In Kavik, Sue pushes her body beyond the limit, and when an old injury flares up she is forced to call in outside help so she can resume her normal life.

  

Episode 8 - No Mercy

Sue is locking down camp in Kavik and heading to Deadhorse, the nearest town, to pick up a new eight-wheel all-terrain vehicle. Cody is considering a full-time life in Alaska, but he needs help from his hosts.

  

Episode 9 - Breaking Point

Sue Aikens heads out on an 85 miles unpredictable journey through the Alaskan tundra. In Eagle, Andy sends Cody out into the wild to fend for himself and in Noorvik, Chip and Agnes Hailstone prepare their daughter for a lesson in trapping.

     

Episode 10 - Search and Rescue

In Noorvik, Chip heads into the wild to find of his son and young granddaughter after they fail to arrive at the family home. In Kavik, Sue is forced into the tundra in search of fresh water, and must swap out a broken stove so that she doesn't freeze in an arctic storm.

  

Episode 11 - The Howling

Winter is nearing an end but it won't leave without a fight. In Kavik, a looming blizzard threatens Sue's food supply. In Eagle, a break in the ice may derail Andy's spring projects.

  

Episode 12 - Dark Winter's End

The end of the winter season means that Chip and Agnes have one last chance to harvest fat caribou until late summer.

  

Episode 13 - Independent By Nature

This special compilation episode follows as Chip and Agnes Hailstone, Andy Bassich and Kate Rorke-Bassich, Erik Salitan, Glenn Villeneuve, and Sue Aikens struggle to acquire food, protect themselves from deadly predators, and survive within the unforgiving landscape of the Alaskan bush.

  

Episode 14 - The Awakening

Across Alaska the thaw brings new challenges and dangers for the region. Rising temperatures in Kava cause potential disaster for Sue’s business. For Chip and Agnes Hailstone, the end of the winter season means that they have one last chance to harvest fat caribou until late summer.
