Episode 1 - The Surprise Party

Fred returns from a long trip only to find that he's spoiled a homecoming party Lamont and Grady had planned for him. But what happens after the party makes Fred decide to leave the business and the house to the unsuspecting pair.

  

Episode 2 - Matchmaker, Matchmaker

Lamont's Uncle George dies and bequeaths him $7,000 -- if he produces a son within the next 12 months and names him George. With the money in mind, Fred enlists a computer dating service to find the hesitant Lamont a wife.

  

Episode 3 - Ol' Browneyes Is Back

Fred is sure that the ring Lamont gave him as a present is the one he has heard was stolen from Frank Sinatra. Fearing reprisal, Fred breaks into the visiting Mr. Sinatra's hotel room to cover up the "theft" and return the "stolen" ring.

  

Episode 4 - Grady and His Lady

Fred puts his foot down between Grady and his fiancée when the bride-to-be announces that after their marriage, Grady will no longer be spending his evenings at the Sanford home.

  

Episode 5 - There'll Be Some Changes Made

Lamont may be in for a fight when he tries to change Fred's bigoted attitude toward other minorities. He finally leaves home after Fred refuses to allow a sensitivity group to meet at the Sanford home. To lure Lamont home, Fred gives in and unknowingly provides the group with a strong example of what not to be.

  

Episode 6 - Going out of Business

Fred sees the beginning of the end of his junk business when Lamont takes a salesman job in a men's clothing store. But, like the good father he is, Fred goes to the store to "help" his "ungrateful" son. Pat Morita guest stars.

  

Episode 7 - Home Sweet Home

Greed gets in the way when a Japanese land development company offers to buy the Sanford house. Even though Lamont is delighted with the money, Fred thinks he can get much more and decides to pay the realtor a "personal" visit at her home.

  

Episode 8 - My Kingdom for a Horse

When Fred buys a horse with an impressive racing history in order to breed him and make millions, he fails to notice that the broken-down animal has been gelded. He tries to cover up his mistake by covering up the horse's.

  

Episode 9 - Sanford and Niece

Fred is determined to avoid a visit by his niece Elizabeth, the "spitting image" and namesake of his late wife. But once she arrives, Fred is completely taken by her and her life is completely overtaken by her suddenly protective uncle. Tina Andrews guest stars.

  

Episode 10 - Julio and Sister and Nephew

When the Sanford's Puerto Rican neighbor Julio asks Fred for a favor, the prejudiced Fred immediately says "no way." But everyone's in for a surprise when Fred's anti-Puerto Rican attitude suddenly changes after Julio's nephew is the victim of discrimination in school.

  

Episode 11 - Fred's Treasure Garden

A fun time is had by all when Grady serves his friends (including two policemen) a salad made with "home-grown parsley." However, the plant in Fred's garden that Grady has been so carefully tending turns out not to be parsley at all -- but marijuana!

  

Episode 12 - Tower Power

Lamont's art-conscious friend Sandra (guest star Janee Michelle) takes the Sanfords on a tour of an art museum. Fred is so impressed with the value of a sculpture made of "found" art that he decides to create his own legacy -- right in his own back yard.

  

Episode 13 - A Little Extra Security

To lie or not to lie? That is the question that Grady must answer when he receives too many Social Security checks. Will he listen to Aunt Esther and report the error or will he listen to his friend Otis and catch the first plane to Las Vegas?

  

Episode 14 - The Merger

Three proves to be a crowd when Lamont decides to combine the Sanford & Son junk business with Julio's junk business to form one big "junkpire." The first task is to make a commercial to advertise the merger -- but which of the three partners will be the star?

  

Episode 15 - Once A Thief

When Lamont invites his ex-convict friend (guest star Ron Glass) to stay at the Sanford home, a most protective Grady steps in to defend the Sanford "treasures."

  

Episode 16 - The Stand-in

Fred and Lamont's friends Bowlegs and Al (guest star Al Williams of the Step Brothers) visit the Sanford home to show off their new nightclub act. But Al sprains his back and the Sanfords perform.

  

Episode 17 - Strange Bedfellows

To impress a politically minded girlfriend, Lamont sounds off about community problems on a local radio show and is subsequently talked into running for state assemblyman. Although Fred likes the thought of the change in the family income, he's not quite sure about the changes in his lifestyle. Margaret Avery guest stars.

  

Episode 18 - The Masquerade Party

Fred, Grady and Bubba become television game show contestants on "Wheel and Deal" to try and win a birthday present for Lamont. But Fred (dressed as a gorilla) and Grady (dressed as a ballerina) may not be able to handle what the show's host has in store for them.

  

Episode 19 - Golden Boy

With the money that Lamont was going to use to repair the junk truck, Fred buys half ownership of professional boxer Junior Joe Louis -- a three-hundred pounder who eats better than he fights.

  

Episode 20 - My Brother-in-law's Keeper

Fred can't wait for his sister to come for a visit and introduce her new husband -- but that's before he finds out the groom (guest star Allen Drake) is white.

  

Episode 21 - The Headache

When a doctor (guest star Darrell Zwerling) can't find any physical reason for Lamont's headaches, he determines it must be psychological and sends him to a psychiatrist (guest star Robert Do Qui). But the shrink discovers that the answer lies not in Lamont, but in his father.

  

Episode 22 - The Stung

To teach Lamont and his friends a painful lesson in gambling, Fred asks his professional gambler buddy to join one of the group's weekly games. Pretending to be a novice player, the expert quickly takes everyone's money. Fred later tells them of his clever scheme and promises that Al (guest star Richard Ward) will return all the cash...but where is Al?

  

Episode 23 - The Older Woman

Much to Fred's dismay, Lamont has fallen for an "older" woman. In order to prove the point and discourage the romance, Fred brings his own "older" woman to the Sanford home.

  

Episode 24 - The Over-The-Hill Gag

Fred's doctor has given him six months -- to pay his bill. But Lamont and Rollo think the end is near and try to make Fred's last days happy by setting up a date with Lena Horne. Fred's not about to reveal the truth and blow the date, but what is he to do?

  

Episode 25 - The Family Man

Grady moves out of Watts and into fashionable Westwood to live with his daughter (guest star Carole Cole), her UCLA coach husband (guest star Joe Morton) and their children. Although Grady dearly loves his family, he somehow feels that he doesn't belong in his new surroundings. Will he be able to adjust?
