Episode 1 - 1. Fowl Play

Hannah McKenzie is a prize winning bantam pullet, and a local trouble causer. When she goes missing, her frantic owner claims kidnap. Keen to escape from paperwork.

     

Episode 2 - 2. Fooling Around

Still reeling from being separated from his family, Ben is on a downhill spiral - hell bent on living for the moment. In the process he becomes entangled with a woman on a similar path.

     

Episode 3 - 3. Death By Flight

A plane crashes into a farmhouse, killing three people. Ben takes the case too personally and oversteps the mark in his investigation efforts.

     

Episode 4 - 4. A Friend Indeed

Jo finds herself protecting a simple young man, Archie Waters, whose gang of so called friends are happy to take advantage of his need to belong.

     

Episode 5 - 5. The Manly Art

PJ plays cupid in helping Jack form a bond with Tess. Jack is determined something is on the nose when Tess accidentally hits a young man, knocking him unconscious.

PJ and Jo stumble upon a young naked man wandering the highway. Through their investigations they discover he is a Kosovo refugee desperately trying to avoid deportation.

Tess narrowly escapes being knocked down by a speeding car the same day the new Constable, Evan "Jonesy" Jones, arrives in town. Jonesy is rebellious and charismatic and under Tess' skin.

Jonesy's preconceptions about the sanctity of parenthood are challenged when he befriends a young mother in trouble. Jonesy and Tess discover an abandoned new born baby.

Jo is mortified when Falcon-Price decides to partner her for a day of active duty, but what can she do? Jo feels responsible when Falcon-Price is abducted while they are investigating.

Jo begins to believe her own publicity when Inspector Falcon Price pushes her into a police public relations campaign. A man is caught speeding and discovered with an unlicensed gun.

Ben and Jonesy's differences complicate their search for a young child responsible for throwing rocks at passing cars. They disagree when their investigation leads them to an assaulted teenager.

     

Episode 20 - 20. Strays

Tess and Jonesy investigate a domestic disturbance and Tess is reacquainted with Hayley, a troubled young girl from her past. An unpopular neighbour's portrait is discovered riddled with bullets.

     

Episode 21 - 21. The Lord Giveth

Tom tries to keep his mind on the job after becoming interested in a mysterious woman. Two houses are broken into and large sums of money are left on both kitchen tables.

     

Episode 22 - 22. Credit Limit

Jonesy's lack of experience complicates an investigation, when he lets a man go after breaking up a fight, only to discover the man is wanted for drug trafficking and burglary.

     

Episode 23 - 23. A Hard Call

What do you do when lives are in danger and you have only seconds to make a decision?

     

Episode 24 - 24. Role Model

Tom suspects a retired thief guilty of burglary until he is questioned and the old man claims he was set up. The Heelers have a lead on another suspect and their hunt leads them to two teenage boys.

     

Episode 25 - 25. A Safe Bet

The Heelers suspect a local horse trainer of assaulting and robbing a bookie. Jo becomes intrigued when she discovers a page torn from a diary after questioning the trainer's strapper.

     

Episode 26 - 26. A Matter Of Faith

Tom is dragged to see a touring faith healer but his scepticism turns to concern when the healer is attacked by a man accusing him of killing his wife. Is the healer a fraud?

     

Episode 27 - 27. Who Can You Trust?

Jonesy's failure to follow instructions has him on the back foot with Tess and leads her to conceal the fact that Les Anderson, may be implicated in a death at a building site.

     

Episode 28 - 28. Best Eaten Cold

Jonesy must be eliminated as a suspect when Les Anderson, the man he suspects murdered his father, is found seriously assaulted.

     

Episode 29 - 29. The Real Santa

Ben is desperate to spend Christmas with his children provided he wins the lottery in order to pay their airfare. Tom wins the church raffle but the prize is stolen.

     

Episode 30 - 30. Dreaming Of A White Christmas

For a cop, Christmas can be the hardest time of the year. Jo can't wait to eat, drink and be merry with her nearest and dearest. Tess is determined that Hayley has her best Christmas ever.

     

Episode 31 - 31. Breaking Point - Part 1

Tess worries for Hayley's safety when Hayley's new friend is accused of attacking a girl at school. Tom's daughter, Susan, teaches the accused boy and has faith in his innocence.

     

Episode 32 - 32. Breaking Point - Part 2

Tom discovers his daughter is pregnant when she becomes the victim of a hit and run. Tess fights for Hayley's love as her mother's prison release draws near.

Jo's promising new romance with Guy, becomes complicated. A talented young athlete dies suddenly and both Jo and Guy want answers.

Tess and Jonesy discover they both love blues music when the first Mount Thomas Blues Festival comes to town.

PJ returns to work depressed by his mother's death. A distraught man reports his wife missing and PJ openly dismisses the possibility of the woman returning.

PJ's professional mistrust leads him to discover the darker truth behind a domestic dispute.
