Episode 1 - Murdoch of the Klondike

Intent on a life beyond policing, in the wake of his personal and professional problems, Detective William Murdoch leaves Toronto for the Klondike Gold Rush in the Yukon. He soon realises that his days as a detective are not behind him when he meets Jack London and stumbles upon a murder investigation.

When an Alderman is killed during the attempted assassination of the city's Protestant Mayor, Detective Murdoch must tread carefully during his investigation.

  

Episode 3 - Evil Eye of Egypt

Constable Crabtree is convinced a mummy's curse is to blame when Detective Murdoch investigates a series of deaths linked to an exhibition of Egyptian antiquities.

  

Episode 4 - War On Terror

Detective Murdoch infiltrates an anarchist group lead by American labour organiser Emma Goldman while investigating an explosion.

Detective Murdoch investigates when Ivan Wallensky, the inventor of a nickel and cadmium battery, is murdered. The investigation leads him to a dispute over the battery patent with ambitious entrepreneur James Pendrick.

  

Episode 7 - Walk On the Wild Side, Pt. 1

When Detective Murdoch investigates the abduction of Lucille Messing, a shy, churchgoing librarian, he's stunned to discover his former love, Anna Fulford, working at the library under an alias.

  

Episode 8 - Walk On the Wild Side, Pt. 2

Murdoch is forced to shoot a man who attacks his former love, Anna Fulford, but it soon becomes clear that she is still in danger. He also still has to solve the mystery of who killed shy librarian Lucille Messing.

  

Episode 9 - Invention Convention

Detective Murdoch is summoned to a convention of inventors by Karl Shreyer, who has received a typewritten death threat. With his suction cleaning device, Shreyer is a leading contender for the event's prestigious prize and is certain his jealous competitors sent the note. When he's named the winner, Murdoch warns him against accepting. But vanity compels him to the podium where he declares his own genius seconds before being shot in the head.

  

Episode 10 - Staircase to Heaven

A friendly card game between Dr Emily Grace and some associates takes a grizzly turn when one of the players is slashed in the throat during a blackout. Detective Murdoch is surprised by her quick arrival at the crime scene. Shaken, she admits she was already there and that the victim was a medical school friend.

  

Episode 11 - Murdoch in Toyland

After a young girl is abducted from her bed, Detective Murdoch is stunned to discover that a talking doll left at the scene has a recorded message directed at him.

  

Episode 12 - Murdoch Night in Canada

An argument after a hockey practice leads to team captain Archie Simpson being knocked out. Though Simpson rouses from unconsciousness, he's later found dead in the locker room. When Dr Grace's autopsy suggests murder, Murdoch finds himself delving into a murky world of secrets and pay-offs that threaten to destroy the future of the game.

  

Episode 13 - Twentieth Century Murdoch

Detective Murdoch is suspicious of Gideon Turner, who claims he has knowledge of soon-to-be-committed crimes but refuses to say how. When Turner bolts from police custody and thwarts a murder attempt, Murdoch, Inspector Brackenreid and Constable Crabtree demand to know where he got his information. Turner calmly explains he saw the events happen when he travelled to the future.
