Episode 1 - Pilot

Will Truman (Eric McCormack), a handsome, successful Manhattan lawyer, and Grace Adler (Debra Messing), a beautiful, self-employed interior designer, are best friends. In fact, they're absolutely perfect for each other - except that Will just happens to be gay. When Grace receives an unexpected marriage proposal from her boyfriend, Will tries to be supportive of her decision but finally tells her that she's making a mistake, even though he's putting their friendship at risk. Episode 1 - Series 1, Episode 1: Pilot

Grace (Debra Messing) wants to prove that she's not completely dependent upon Will (Eric McCormack) by moving to the apartment across the hall. As a bold display of her newly found independence, she decides to throw a dinner party without the help of Will - much to the chagrin of her guests. In his own act of liberation, Will decides to ask a guy out that he met in a bookstore. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) moves into the maid quarters of Karen's (Megan Mullally) mansion with Rosario (guest star Shelley Morrison).

  

Episode 24 - Series 2, Episode 2: Election

Grace (Debra Messing) discovers that Will (Eric McCormack) has certain perks in his apartment, such as a working fireplace, that other tenants, like her, don't have. Realizing that he's been able to acquire these goodies as President of the board of tenants, she decides to run against him in the upcoming election. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) is devastated when his beloved pet bird, Guapo, escapes when Karen (Megan Mullally) accidentally leaves a window open.

  

Episode 25 - Series 2, Episode 3: Das Boob

When a photo of Grace (Debra Messing) gets published in a newspaper in which she appears to be much more well-endowed than she actually is, she gets asked out the next day by her unrequited high-school heartthrob (guest star Salvator Xuereb), but Karen (Megan Mullally) convinces her it's only because of the photo. Desperate to live up to her "fullfigured" image, Grace buys herself an undergarment that has less than the desired effect. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) discovers that Will (Eric McCormack) slept with one of his old lovers.

  

Episode 26 - Series 2, Episode 4: Whose Mom Is It Anyway?

Grace (Debra Messing), who is usually irritated by her well-meaning but meddling mother (guest star Debbie Reynolds), gets jealous when her mom starts to dote on Will (Eric McCormack). Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes), Karen (Megan Mullally) and Rosario (guest star Shelley Morrison) have an interesting visit with an I.N.S. officer (guest star Cameron Watson).

It's Will's (Eric McCormack) birthday and everyone is in the mood for a happy birthday celebration, although Will is a bit hesitant because he has never had a happy birthday. Now that he is in a good relationship with his new boyfriend Vince (guest star Bobby Cannavale, "The Station Agent"), Will decides to give his birthday a chance. Grace (Debra Messing) runs into Vince shopping and notices that he has bought Will a key chain - in the hopes of giving Will the key to his heart or apartment. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) commission an artist to draw Will naked for his birthday. Karen also learns that she is not quite over Stan when Rosario (Shelley Morrison) serenades Will with one of Stan's favorite songs.

  

Episode 152 - Series 7, Episode 6: The Newlydreads

Will (Eric McCormack) convinces Jack (Sean Hayes) to help a local gay bookstore owner save his store from closing. Meanwhile, Graces' (Debra Messing) first design job after her divorce is for a young, obnoxiously- in-love newlywed couple. After a few conversations with the couple Grace decides she cannot do the job because she cannot bear being around them. Karen (Megan Mullally) decides to help Grace out and completes the job for her.

  

Episode 153 - Series 7, Episode 7: Will & Grace & Vince & Nadine

When Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) meet Vince's (guest star Bobby Cannavale) best female friend, Nadine (guest star Kristine Davis), they notice some striking similarities with their own relationship. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) is still angry with Grace and decides to leave the interior design firm when Jack (Sean Hayes) comes to her rescue and hires her to be his new assistant at "Out TV."

Grace (Debra Messing) comes home from a great date and listens to a staticy message she's received from Leo. Grace hides the message from Will (Eric McCormack), but when Will learns about it, he decides to take grace to the Berkshires to get her mind off of Leo. He convinces her that one romantic gesture is not going to make up for his cheating. Grace seems to agree but secretly takes the answering machine with her as they head out on the road trip. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) and Jack (Sean Hayes) try to set each other up. However, after Karen gets paired with her gardener and Jack is set up with a straight, married guy, Jack and Karen decide they are the best people for each other.

Episode 159 - Series 7, Episode 13: Board Games

Scott Woolley (guest star Jeff Goldblum), an old high school classmate seeks revenge on Karen (Megan Mullally) for ruining his senior year by trying to become President of Walker Inc. After Scott prepares a presentation that wows the board of Walker Inc., he takes over control of the company, much to Karen's dismay. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) and Grace (Debra Messing) take the day off of work to go to the movies. While at the supermarket getting snacks, they run into Vince (guest star Bobby Cannavale) and his co-worker and assume that Vince is cheating on Will (Eric McCormack).

  

Episode 160 - Series 7, Episode 14: Partners

Will (Eric McCormack) is up for partner at his law firm. His boss, Margot, (guest star Lily Tomlin) invites the candidates for partner to a dinner at her house, where she will ultimately make the final decision. Will, who is worried that Vince (guest star Bobby Cannavale) will ruin his chances of getting the promotion, is reluctant to bring him as his date. Grace (Debra Messing) also attends Margot's dinner party under the pretense that Margot has set her up on a blind date. Once there, Grace realizes the blind date is with Margot's husband. Elsewhere, Rosario (Shelley Morrison) becomes sick and Karen (Megan Mullally) refuses to believe she is really ill.

  

Episode 161 - Series 7, Episode 15: Bully Wooley

Scott Woolley (guest star Jeff Goldblum), Karen's nemesis, hires Grace (Debra Messing) to design his new restaurant under the condition that Grace fires Karen (Megan Mullally) from her design firm. Grace later tells Karen about the incident and they realize the man that hired Grace is really Scott Woolley. Grace and Karen decide to trap him in his lie. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) takes Will (Eric McCormack) out for a boys' night to get his mind off of Vince, but ends up abandoning Will at the club. Will upset over being dumped at the club confronts Jack about his behavior. The next day, Will confronts Jack about his selfish behavior and, in an effort to make amends, Jack takes Will out to dinner and tries to focus all of his attention on his friend. That grows difficult when Broadway star Patti Lupone ("Evita") enters the restaurant.

  

Episode 162 - Series 7, Episode 16: Dance Cards and Greeting Cards

Valentine's Day is full of surprises. Grace's (Debra Messing) tries to ignore the greeting card holiday but romantic urges eventually send her into the arms of the enemy - none other than Nick (guest star Ed Burns, "Saving Private Ryan") a hunky greeting card writer. In a dramatic change of events, Karen's (Megan Mullally) former nemesis Scott Woolley (guest star Jeff Goldblum) tries to win her heart by showering her with gifts but Karen's eyes are on larger things, - her new overweight internet date. Elsewhere, after dancing with a lesbian couple (guest stars Chita Rivera & Michelle Lee) Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack (Sean Hayes) find comfort in each other's arms for the Valentine's Day spotlight dance.

  

Episode 163 - Series 7, Episode 17: The Birds and the Bees

Grace (Debra Messing) drags Will (Eric McCormack) along to keep her in check during her first date with Nick (guest star Edward Burns) only to leave a heated Will at his table for one. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) hatches a wild plan to get Jack (Sean Hayes) a date with Aaron (guest star Luke Perry), the neighborhood bird enthusiast, only to ruffle some feathers when things don't quite go as planned. Instead, Jack landed the two in a blue-collar town just two hours away from the newest gay hotspot. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullaly) befriends Ellen (guest star Leigh-Allyn Baker), Grace's (Debra Messing) friend who is having marital problems, and takes her out on the town to drink her problems away.

When Will convinces Grace (Debra Messing) to see his therapist, Dr. Georgia Keller (guest star Sharon Stone), he becomes increasingly jealous when the two women form an instant friendship. Grace and Will begin to compete fiercely for Georgia's attention - and a place in her upcoming book. Thanks to Grace, Will also takes a look at his life and decides it's time to make a life altering career move. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) find an imposter teaching Jack's McFarland Method of acting. Realizing he needs new material to get back into teaching, Jack changes his method to win back his students.

  

Episode 169 - Series 7, Episode 23: Friends with Benefits

Having quit his job at the law firm, Will (Eric McCormack) turns to a career in writing where he catches the eye of Malcolm (Alec Baldwin), who claims he has high-profile connections. But when his writing career fails, Malcolm has another job offer for Will. Meanwhile, Tom (Eric Stoltz), an old flame from college, returns to ask Grace to design a hotel that he and his wife just bought, only to discover that there are still feelings between the two of them. Jack (Sean Hayes) struggles to produce his latest show for OutTV, but spoiled child star Randall (Seth Green) fails to embody Jack's vision. Under threat of a lawsuit, Karen (Megan Mullally) is forced to publicly apologize to Beverly (guest star Leslie Jordan) for an embarrassing rumor, but Karen has a different announcement in mind. Karen is adamant that she will never forgive Stan and wants nothing to do with him-until Malcolm informs her that Stan has given her to him without a fight. The day before Will’s (Eric McCormack) charity auction and carnival, Jack (Sean Hayes) meets and begins dating Baby Glenn (guest star Jason Biggs), who is still riding his fifteen minutes of fame from when he got trapped in a hole for three days in the eighties. The two "celebrities" agree to be auctioned off for charity - Baby Glenn’s fans spend over a thousand dollars, but Jack begins to question his own notoriety when no one bids on him. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) just can’t force herself to break up with Malcolm (guest star Alec Baldwin), so to soften the blow she recruits Grace (Debra Messing) to be his date to the carnival. But Grace can’t stand his weird quirks and clingy personality and finally makes Karen confront him. Shelley Morrison also stars.

  

Episode 176 - Series 8, Episode 6: Love Is in the Airplane

While en route to London, Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) spot Grace’s ex-husband Leo (guest star Harry Connick, Jr.) on their flight. Will charms a pair of gay flight attendants, who also happen to be dating, so he can smuggle Grace into first class to talk to Leo. Back in New York, Jack (Sean Hayes) tries to reunite Karen (Megan Mullally) and Rosario (Shelley Morrison), but this proves difficult when their stubbornness outweighs his good intentions. Also complicating matters is Karen’s new manipulative maid Leni (guest star Millicent Martin), who is not anxious to give up her comfortable new job.

  

Episode 177 - Series 8, Episode 7: Birds of a Feather Boa

When Jack (Sean Hayes) decides on a whim to move, Will (Eric McCormack) is excited at the thought of helping him look for a place. After becoming involved in a cause to save two gay penguins from being separated at the zoo, Will starts to think closely about his dear friendship with Jack and what it would mean if he no longer lived next door. Meanwhile, during an afternoon of shopping, Karen (Megan Mullally) and Grace (Debra Messing) bump into pretentious socialite Beverly (guest star Leslie Jordan) who invites the two ladies to attend his recently deceased wife’s memorial “celebration.” When Grace decides to try on one of the dead wife’s rare dresses before the ceremony, she experiences a “wardrobe malfunction,” which she must try to conceal.

  

Episode 178 - Series 8, Episode 8: Swish Out of Water

Grace (Debra Messing) finds it impossible to put up with her mother Bobbi’s (guest star Debbie Reynolds) constant nitpicking, so Jack (Sean Hayes) takes it upon himself to help her because, according to him, no one knows how to be a good daughter better than a gay son. Jack subjects her to a barrage of Bobbi-esque insults until Grace finally learns what her mother really means underneath her harsh words. Meanwhile, Will’s (Eric McCormack) first case at the Coalition for Justice is about tenants’ rights, and the slumlord turns out to be none other than Karen (Megan Mullally).

  

Episode 179 - Series 8, Episode 9: A Little Christmas Queer

While spending the holidays at Will’s (Eric McCormack) mother Marilyn’s (guest star Blythe Danner) house, Grace (Debra Messing) gets cozy with Will’s brother and old flame Sam (guest star Steven Weber). Sam’s adopted daughter finds a fan in Karen (Megan Mullally), who is intrigued by the little girl. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) helps Will’s clearly gay ten-year-old nephew organize and perform a Christmas show, which Marilyn is thrilled about. Will is silently fuming, however, as Marilyn is much more tolerant of the young boy than she ever was of her own son.

  

Episode 180 - Series 8, Episode 10: Von Trapped

The "Sound of Music Sing-Along" has come to town and no one is more excited than Grace (Debra Messing). She plans for her and Will (Eric McCormack) to attend the musical in character-like style by dressing up in costumes. However, her presumed-to-be fun night turns into a disaster when she ends up babysitting a group of children and Will accidentally goes to the wrong theater becoming further detained by James (guest star Taye Diggs), a handsome man he meets. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) and Jack (Sean Hayes) try to flee when she gets in trouble with the theater's manager, who blocks off the exits, trapping everyone inside and forcing them to plot their escape. Episode 183 - Series 8, Episode 13: Cop to It

Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) dread a dinner date with married friends Rob and Ellen who likely called the meeting to announce Ellen is pregnant yet again, but when the couple reveals that they are separated and loving it, Grace gets depressed. She's quickly distracted however when Will's cop ex-boyfriend, Vince (guest star Bobby Cannavalle), approaches their table as their server. Ignoring Rob and Ellen's big news, Will and Grace discuss how Vince must have gone off the deep end and quit the force after splitting with Will, and Vince's request to switch table assignments seems to confirm their thoughts. Elsewhere, Jack (Sean Hayes) decides he needs to spice up "JackTalk" by pulling an Oprah and helping his fan, Tommy Shields, come out of the closet. Jack and Karen (Megan Mullally) setup a bowling alley meeting with Tommy when Karen is recruited to join a woman's league game as an emergency fill-in.

  

Episode 184 - Series 8, Episode 14: I Love L. Gay

Will (Eric McCormack), Karen (Megan Mullally), and a star struck Grace (Debra Messing) travel to Los Angeles to support Jack as he accepts a HAPI award for Best Local Cable Gay Talk Show Host. Coincidently, Will runs into James (guest star Taye Diggs) while in LA, but to his surprise James is Canadian and in jeopardy of being deported. After spending a perfect weekend together, Will and James find that they don't have to say good-bye to each other again when Grace makes a special proposal.

  

Episode 185 - Series 8, Episode 15: The Definition of Marriage

The big day has finally arrived - Grace (Debra Messing) and James (guest star Taye Diggs) are getting ready for their green card wedding. To Grace's dismay, Karen (Megan Mullally) takes it upon herself to ignore her wish for a low-key wedding ceremony and decides to arrange a huge affair instead including hiring Hall & Oates to perform "Maneater" at the ceremony. Episode 186 - Series 8, Episode 16: Grace Expectations

A nervous but optimistic Grace (Debra Messing) decides it's finally time to tell Leo (guest star Harry Connick Jr.) she is pregnant with his child, but when she finally works up enough courage to actually meet her ex-husband she receives some unexpected news. Meanwhile, Will (Eric McCormack) is settling in comfortably with James (guest star Taye Diggs) until he reveals a side of himself unknown to Will. And as Jack (Sean Hayes) attempts to document every moment of Grace's pregnancy for his talk show, Karen (Megan Mullally) sulks alone, jealous over the good fortunes of her friends.

  

Episode 187 - Series 8, Episode 17: Cowboys and Iranians

An ecstatic Jack (Sean Hayes) coerces Will (Eric McCormack) into coming out with him to a gay cowboy bar to meet his new boyfriend Travis. Will soon discovers that Travis is not as perfect as he seems and steps up to defend Jack's honor, which eventually leads to a raucous event - a bar fight. Episode 188 - Series 8, Episode 18: Buy, Buy Baby

After a large corporation takes over OutTV, Jack's (Sean Hayes) talk show "JackTalk" is completely revamped. An immediate change comes when the new conservative owners hire Amber-Louise (guest star Britney Spears) as "JackTalk's" new co-host. While Jack is deciding whether or not he'll stand up to his new bosses, Karen (Megan Mullally) goes baby shopping. After seeing Grace (Debra Messing) so happy about her pregnancy, Karen decides she wants a baby of her own and offers to pay a make-up lady, Cricket (guest star Wanda Sykes), to carry one for her. Episode 189 - Series 8, Episode 19: Blanket Apology

After losing his job as the host of "JackTalk," Jack (Sean Hayes) vows never to return to acting. An unrelenting Karen (Megan Mullally), however, will not let Jack give up on his passion and decides to do whatever it takes to get Jack to an audition. Meanwhile, Grace (Debra Messing) accompanies Will (Eric McCormack) to dinner at his parents' home, but a simple dinner soon turns into a showdown between Will and his father when his dad decides to give Grace's unborn child Will's cherished baby blanket.
