Episode 1 - Dames at Sea

In the season premiere, Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack (Sean Hayes) awake in a precarious position - sharing a bed in the nude - while at sea. Unable to remember every detail from the night before, the two alleged bedfellows deny the possibility that anything happened, but each grow concerned as to how to dump the other. Meanwhile, Grace’s (Debra Messing) discovery of a love letter in Leo’s (Harry Connick, Jr.) bag from a female colleague prompts her to doubt his fidelity and Karen (Megan Mullally) survives a night fighting for her life while afloat in the forbidding night sea and a freighter full of Russian sailors, and must honor a pact with savior Rosario (Shelley Morrison).

  

Episode 2 - Last Ex to Brooklyn

When Leo (Harry Connick, Jr.) invites his hip and trendy ex-girlfriend (Oscar winning guest star Mira Sorvino "Mighty Aphrodite") to a friendly dinner party, Grace (Debra Messing) turns to Will (Eric McCormack), Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) to round out the guest list and keep the night running smoothly. However, when Leo's ex turns out to be the only girl Will ever slept with, Grace's jealousy gets the better of her. Meanwhile, Karen discovers Lorraine's dog Chompers hiding in Stan's closet and searches for a new owner for the puppy.

  

Episode 3 - Home Court Disadvantage

When Grace (Debra Messing) and Leo (Harry Connick, Jr.) join Karen (Megan Mullally) for a friendly game of tennis at her exclusive club, her fierce playing style sends Grace fleeing the court. However, when the reason for her angry play is her hatred for Leo, Grace is determined to find a way for them to get along. Elsewhere, a nervous Will (Eric McCormack) suckers Jack (Sean Hayes) into visiting his depressed mother (guest star Blythe Danner) in Connecticut hoping to they can cheer her up.

  

Episode 4 - Me and Mr. Jones

Earning a brief speaking role in an off Broadway play, Jack (Sean Hayes) shares the stage with legendary actor James Earl Jones (guest staring as himself, "The Great White Hope"). However, when the play's director rejects James' performance in favor of Jack's one-line triumph, the award-winning actor looks to his co-star for instruction - enrolling in the McFarland acting school. Meanwhile, new roommates Will (Eric McCormack) and his mother Marilyn (guest star Blythe Danner) continue their living arrangement, despite a secret desire to part ways. Debra Messing and Megan Mullally also star.

  

Episode 5 - A-Story, Bee-Story

Depressed over his decision to leave Doctors Without Borders, Leo (Harry Connick, Jr.) turns to a motivated Will (Eric McCormack) to rekindle his love for New York. However, when Will's version of "the best of New York" - filled with long shopping trips and high tea - doesn't do the trick, Leo decides to move in a different direction. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) teams up with his new coach Karen (Megan Mullally) as they prepare for the annual gay spelling bee. Debra Messing also stars.

  

Episode 6 - Heart Like a Wheelchair

Continuing his new role as caretaker for a disabled Marilyn (guest star Blythe Danner), a resentful Will (Eric McCormack) takes his wheelchair-bound mother for an afternoon roll in the park and bumps into an attractive bachelor Tom (Emmy-nominated guest star Dylan McDermott, "The Practice") wheeling an invalid of his own. Using his mother as a reason for a daily rendezvous in the park, Will attempts to build up the courage to ask Tom out. Elsewhere, Karen continues her lifelong quest to hunt down hubby-stealing Lorraine tracking her to a room at the Peninsula hotel only to discover occupant to be her father Lester (Oscar-nominated guess star John Cleese, "A Fish Called Wanda"). Sean Hayes, Debra Messing and Shelley Morrison also star.

  

Episode 7 - Nice in White Satin

Pressured by her lawyer Will (Eric McCormack), Karen (Megan Mullally) decides it's time for her annual Walker corporate physical, but begins to regret this decision after being examined by a slightly unorthodox physician (guest star Jack Black, "School of Rock"). Elsewhere, while accompanying Karen to her physical, Jack (Sean Hayes) finds his true calling - student nursing - and begs Will to support this new endeavor or face his eternal scorn. Debra Messing also stars.

  

Episode 8 - Swimming from Cambodia

When Grace (Debra Messing) returns back to New York for her mother's birthday, Will (Eric McCormack) tries to coerce her into staying in town a bit longer so the two can spend some quality time together. Meanwhile, Jack (Sean Hayes) struggles with his new nursing teacher, Nurse Carver (guest star Lea Delaria) so Karen (Megan Mullally) threatens her into letting Jack skip class and still make the grade. But, to everyone's surprise Jack discovers that he really misses nursing school and learning.

  

Episode 9 - Strangers with Candice

Attempting to help Grace (Debra Messing) shake off her marital wows, a well-dressed Will (Eric McCormack) asks her to accompany him on his dinner date only to be stood up by his new man. Nursing his broken heart, Will catches the eye of a female diner while Grace reunites with a man (guest star Tomas Everett Scott, NBC's "ER") from her past with whom she shared a forgettable romantic moment in a dark bar. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) takes Jack (Sean Hayes) out to celebrate his first month as a student nurse, only to cross paths with her nemesis Emmy winner Candice Bergen (as herself) sparking another battle in their on-going prank war.

  

Episode 10 - Fanilow

Opting out of the annual Adler Design Christmas party, ultimate "Fanilow" Will (Eric McCormack) spends the night waiting in line for tickets to a special Barry Manilow (as himself) concert - only to have his weak bladder force him to make a quick pit stop and entrust Grace (Debra Messing) to hold his place. However, Will's snubbing of an overweight man in the bathroom line leaves his chances of meeting his idol in doubt. Meanwhile, a distraught Grace discovers her mother (guest star Debbie Reynolds, "Singing in the Rain") has cancelled on their annual Hanukkah shopping spree to have dinner with Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) as they embrace the inspiring music of Manilow.

  

Episode 11 - The Accidental Tsuris

When Grace's (Debra Messing) rebellious, free-loading older sister Janet (Academy Award-winning guest star Geena Davis, "The Accidental Tourist") comes to town to launch her new jewelry enterprise/ folding table subway stand, Grace decides to put her foot down casting her sibling away. However, when her tough love prompts Janet to go corporate by taking a 9-5 job and studio apartment, Grace can't seem to handle her new image. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) continues to spurn Lyle's (guest star John Cleese) proposals of marriage, only to have a change of heart after Lorraine (guest star Minnie Driver) stops by for an impromptu visit, to declare her disapproval over Karen's "relationship" with her father. Eric McCormack and Sean Hayes also star.

  

Episode 12 - A Gay / December Romance

Attending a local gallery opening, Will (Eric McCormack) catches the eye of a rich plastic surgeon (guest star Hal Linden), who uses his vast fortune to provide the modest lawyer with a new level of material possessions. However, when Will realizes that he has become a "lady of leisure," he decides to confront his sugar daddy/ boyfriend. Meanwhile, Grace’s (Debra Messing) thirst for delectable noodles sends her to a new local restaurant, but an argument with the owner prompts her to launch boycott of the establishment. Megan Mullally, Sean Hayes and Shelly Morrison also star.

  

Episode 13 - Ice Cream Balls

Love is in the air as Will's (Eric McCormack) slightly eccentric new client (guest star Dave Foley, "NewsRadio") falls for Jack (Sean Hayes) after he interrupts their meeting, but when Jack refuses to accept the romantic offer, Will sinks to bribing him in the hopes of furthering his career. Elsewhere, Grace (Debra Messing) and Karen (Megan Mullally) take a trip to Leo's cabin in Vermont in order to fix the plumbing - and uncover a secret pile of cash in the master bed.

  

Episode 14 - Looking for Mr. Good Enough

Will (Eric McCormack) decides to further his cooking skills by taking a class and invites Jack (Sean Hayes) to join him in the kitchen. However, when Jack decides to include his new boyfriend Stuart (guest star Dave Foley, "NewsRadio") the gourmet attorney finds himself the sad single in a cooking class full of couples. Elsewhere, Karen's (Megan Mullally) mother Lois (guest star Suzanne Pleshette, "The Bob Newhart Show") returns to town, slightly unnerving her daughter and calling on Grace's (Debra Messing) thrifty design talents to help decorate her new apartment. Tracy Ullman ("Small Time Crooks") also guest stars in the episode as the blatantly honest instructor of the cooking class. Shelly Morrison also stars.

  

Episode 15 - Flip-Flop, Pt. 1

Dynamic enterprisers Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) begin a new business venture, buying old apartments to refurbish and resale for a tidy profit. When budding student nurse Jack (Sean Hayes) bumps into his former acting mentor Zandra (guest star Eileen Brennan), the pair of entrepreneurs finds their first project apartment. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) renews her romance with Lyle Finster (guest star John Cleese), but the couple's bliss is interrupted by an unfortunate houseguest when Lorraine (guest star Minnie Driver) moves in. Episode 16 - Flip-Flop, Pt. 2

Enjoying the success of their new business venture, entrepreneurs Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) help their apartment buyers Jack (Sean Hayes) and Stuart (guest star Dave Foley, "News Radio") settle into their new life under one roof. However, when Grace receives a higher offer on the apartment, the "friendly flippers" attempt break-up the happy couple by encouraging Jack's cold feet as they see a chance to make a quick buck. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) demands that Lyle (guest star John Cleese) finally discipline his unruly daughter Lorraine (guest star Minnie Driver), shattering the couple's budding romance. Episode 17 - East Side Story

Riding the success of their new real-estate venture, Will (Eric McCormack) and Grace (Debra Messing) decide to expand to the east side clashing with the reigning team of lesbian apartment flippers - Deirdre (guest star Edie Falco, "The Sopranos") and Monet (guest star Chloe Sevigny, "Boy's Don't Cry"). Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) seeks the spiritual guidance of John Edward (guest starring as himself) regarding recent engagement. Sean Hayes also stars.

  

Episode 18 - Courting Disaster

Searching for a movie-watching pal after Stuart (guest star Dave Foley, "NewsRadio") opts out, Jack (Sean Hayes) invites Grace (Debra Messing) for an afternoon at the theatre. However, when the duo discovers Stuart and mystery man secretly catching a matinee, Jack is left questioning their relationship. Elsewhere, Will (Eric McCormack) attempts to teach Karen (Megan Mullally) the skills of driving, but the road warriors have a run in with the law their first trip behind the wheel, prompting Will to fight the ticket in traffic court.

  

Episode 19 - No Sex 'n' the City

Tip-toeing through his budding relationship, an apprehensive Will (Eric McCormack) makes the mistake of taking Grace's (Debra Messing) advice on love, playing hard-to-get with his new pseudo-boyfriend (guest star Bobby Cannavale, "Kingpin"). However, when his game playing causes a rift in this budding romance, Will is left questioning Grace's wisdom in matters of the heart. Meanwhile, a distraught Jack (Sean Hayes) and Karen (Megan Mullally) bravely attempt to soldier on after learning their favorite television show will be going off the air forcing them to say goodbye to their six favorite "Friends" and a psychiatrist named Frasier Crane. Bebe Neuwirth (NBC's "Frasier) guest stars as herself and Sharon Osbourne ("The Osbournes") makes a cameo appearance in the episode.

  

Episode 20 - Fred Astaire and Ginger Chicken

Smitten with his new boyfriend Vince (guest star Bobby Cannavale "Kingpin"), Will (Eric McCormack) puts his relationship to the test introducing him to the overly critical Grace (Debra Messing) for her approval. However, when Grace abruptly cuts the introduction short, Will is convinced of her disapproval of Vince and thus begins to question his own feelings. Meanwhile, Karen (Megan Mullally) drops a bombshell on Jack (Sean Hayes), revealing that after her upcoming wedding their friendship will be forever changed, forcing him to begin casting calls for her replacement.

  

Episode 21 - I Never Cheered for My Father

Responding to the pleas of his father’s mistress turned girlfriend Tina (guest star Lesley Ann Warren, "Victor/Victoria"), Will (Eric McCormack) attempts to discover whether there is a new woman in his dad’s life. However, when his father’s new mistress turns out to be his mother (guest star Blythe Danner), Will must find a way to break the shocking truth to Tina. Meanwhile Elliot’s (guest star Michael Angarano) decision to try out for his high school cheerleading squad has Jack (Sean Hayes) all smiles as he is determined to help his son make the team. Debra Messing and Megan Mullally also star.

  

Episode 22 - Speechless

On the eve of his graduation from nursing school, a nervous Jack (Sean Hayes) turns to Will (Eric McCormack) for help writing his commencement address. Reconnecting with his past dreams of being an accomplished playwright, Will over analyzes the speech, searching for the life experience that sent Jack to nursing school as a source of inspiration. Megan Mullally, Debra Messing and Shelly Morrison also star.

  

Episode 23 - I Do, Pt. 1

Opting to forego a picturesque fall wedding and elope in Las Vegas, Karen (Megan Mullally) hops a plane to "sin city" with fiancé Lyle (guest star John Cleese) and faithful friends Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack (Sean Hayes), in the process bumping into superstar Jennifer Lopez who is vacationing and agrees - on behalf of Rosario (Shelley Morrison) - to sing at the ceremony. Meanwhile, Leo (guest star Harry Connick, Jr.) returns from Cambodia to meet up with Grace (Debra Messing) at the wedding, but their reunion is delayed by a freak design accident. Tim Curry ("The Rocky Horror Picture Show") also guest stars as Lyle's visiting brother Marion. Part 1 of 2.
