Season 13 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Regional Auditions - The Northeast

In the first round of auditions, chefs from the Northeast prepare their signature dishes. Five home cooks will receive coveted white aprons.

  

Episode 2 - Regional Auditions - The Midwest

The auditions continue as chefs from the Midwest battle it out for a spot in the top 20. Each contestant has to prepare a signature dish.

  

Episode 3 - Regional Auditions - The West

Chefs of the West are up next in the audition round. Each contestant has to prepare a signature dish that will secure a spot in the top 20.

  

Episode 4 - Regional Auditions - The South

The auditions conclude with chefs from the South. Contestants prepare a signature dish to secure the five remaining spots in the top 20.

  

Episode 5 - State Fair Food

The top 20 home chefs enter the kitchen for their first challenge. Each contestant is tasked with creating a state fair inspired dish.

  

Episode 6 - Apple Mystery Box

Home chefs get their first Mystery Box Challenge – apples! Chefs with immunity assign each region which kind of dish to cook.

  

Episode 7 - Trial By Fire: Field Challenge

Home chefs face their first team challenge – pairing up with another region and grilling meals for 101 firefighters and emergency personnel.

  

Episode 8 - Birds Of A Feather Mystery Box

The second Mystery Box Challenge with one box per region. The chefs must race against time to incorporate flavours from home in their dishes

  

Episode 9 - United Cakes Of America

The remaining home chefs face the hardest challenge yet in this scrumptious celebration of MasterChef’s 250th episode!

  

Episode 10 - Dodgers Stadium Field Challenge

The chefs split into two teams to prepare a lunch for over 100 kids at Dodger Stadium.

  

Episode 11 - Military Rations Mystery Box/Tag Team

Mystery Box is back with chefs preparing a gourmet meal out of army rations. Remaining home chefs must tackle the tag team challenge.

  

Episode 12 - Fish Out of Water Myster Box/Kelsey's Stadium Food

Chefs face their toughest Mystery Box yet – fish! Then, chefs must cater to sports fans by embracing their regions to elevate their dish.

  

Episode 13 - Patio Grilling Challenge/The Wall

Home cooks are tasked with grilling up a restaurant quality barbecue plate. Then, the chefs must cook on opposite sides of a 55-foot wall.

  

Episode 14 - Restaurant Takeover - Hell’s Kitchen/Semi-Finals: Pasta & Keeping Up With Gordon

Top six chefs take over the world's largest Hell's Kitchen restaurant. Remaining chefs take on challenges to see who moves on to the Finals.

  

Episode 15 - Finale Part One / Finale Part Two

Final three home cooks take on their last challenge: a three-course meal. Only one deliberation stands between them and the $250,000 prize.
