Episode 1 - Top 30 Compete

After a nationwide search, 30 of the best home cooks in America present their signature dish to the judges.

  

Episode 2 - Top 22 Compete

In the season’s first mystery box challenge, contestants must prep and cook a unique and impressive dish using mainly dessert ingredients.

  

Episode 3 - Top 20 Compete

The remaining 20 home cooks compete in the biggest field challenge in Masterchef history: feeding an army of 500 on a desert army base.

  

Episode 4 - Top 18 Compete

The competition livens up when the contestants take on an intimidating seafood challenge.

  

Episode 5 - Top 17 Compete

Teams prepare an upscale seafood menu for a beachfront wedding. The losing team faces a steak and fries pressure test.

  

Episode 6 - Top 16 Compete

Contestants must prepare a unique dish using canned foods. In the elimination round, special guests join and play a crucial role.

  

Episode 7 - Top 15 Compete

The remaining contestants must put aside their differences and work in pairs to create a restaurant quality surf and turf dish.

  

Episode 8 - Top 14 Compete

The home cooks will split into two teams and take command of the kitchen at Dinah's, one of the busiest and most iconic diners in LA.

  

Episode 9 - Top 13 Compete

The remaining home cooks go head-to-head with the judges to prepare a restaurant-quality dish using the most exquisite Alaskan king salmon.

  

Episode 10 - Top 12 Compete

The remaining home cooks prepare romantic dinners for couples celebrating their anniversaries, and Gordon Ramsay introduces a special guest.

  

Episode 11 - Top 11 Compete

For the first time on Masterchef, the cooks will choose between two mystery boxes – one has everyday ingredients, the other has high-end.

  

Episode 12 - Top 10 Compete

The home cooks prepare a football game concessions menu for an entire stadium, with special guest Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson.

  

Episode 13 - Top 8 Compete

The remaining home cooks will split into four teams of two and prepare a poultry dish, each using different parts of the chicken.

  

Episode 14 - Top 7 Compete

The cooks receive some hometown encouragement before a savory apple dish challenge. Later, they must prepare pot stickers in teams of two.

  

Episode 15 - Top 6 Compete

The cooks take over a high-end LA restaurant and work alongside Gordon Ramsay. The losing team competes in a croquembouche pressure test.

  

Episode 16 - Top 5 Compete

The cooks create a dish inspired by one of their loved ones.

  

Episode 17 - Top 4 Compete

A team challenge will determine who advances to the Top Three.

  

Episode 18 - Top 3 Compete

The final three contestants create dishes for a panel of judges representing all 50 states.

  

Episode 19 - Winner Chosen

In the finale, a winner will emerge from the Top Three and walk away with the MASTERCHEF trophy, a book deal and the $250,000 grand prize.
