Season 2 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Very Bad Things

When Joy (Jaime Pressly) and Darnell (Eddie Steeples) get into an argument over her surprise birthday party, Earl (Jason Lee) jumps at the opportunity to do number 183 on his list -- "never took Joy's side." But Joy soon steps into a bigger hole when the purchase of an entertainment center doesn't turn out the way she anticipated. After getting angry about not being able to return the item, Joy ends up in a MAJOR predicament. Going against his established good nature, Earl decides to take Joy's side and help cover up her tracks. Ethan Suplee also stars.


Episode 2 - Jump for Joy

Earl (Jason Lee) needs to raise a lot of money to help a friend in need and goes to the one person he knows with that kind of money, local entrepreneur Richard Chubby (guest star Burt Reynolds, "The Longest Yard," "Smokey and the Bandit"), owner of, among other places, the Camden County strip joint Club Chubby. He agrees to loan Earl the money if he can convince Chubby's most popular dancer, Catalina (Nadine Velazquez), to return to work. Ethan Suplee, Jaime Pressly and Eddie Steeples also star.


Episode 3 - Sticks & Stones

When Earl (Jason Lee) watches Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) give the motel maid a facial wax, he decides to make amends for number ninety-one on his list -- "made fun of Maggie Lester (guest star Judy Greer, "13 Going on 30," "Adaptation")" for having a moustache. Earl and Randy (Ethan Suplee) pay Maggie a visit and find out she is working in the Witzel Traveling Carnival as "The Amazing Bearded Woman" but has dreams to work in another "normal" field. Joy (Jaime Pressly) and Darnell (Eddie Steeples), meanwhile, deal with the repercussions of Joy's breaking the law.


Episode 4 - Larceny of a Kitty Cat

As number 56 on his list, Earl (Jason Lee) decides to return an award winning cat back to its rightful owner after attempting to sabotage a cat show in Joy's (Jaime Pressly) favor. However, when Randy (Ethan Suplee) and Earl return the cat back to its owner they find that the once champion kitty has lost all of its award winning qualities. Meanwhile, an attraction forms between Randy and the cat owner, which helps Randy discover a lot about his true self. Eddie Steeples also stars.


Episode 5 - Van Hickey

While Joy (Jaime Pressly) is doing community service at a local senior recreational center to improve her image for an upcoming trial, Earl (Jason Lee) runs into number 50 on his list. Years ago, when Earl, Randy (Ethan Suplee) and Ralph (guest star Giovanni Ribisi, "Friends," "Lost in Translation") put together their band, Phish Tahko, they unknowingly told an elderly man, Tom (Larry Hankin), that he could be the lead singer. When Tom scared away all their female fans, the band kicked him out before their very first show. While Earl tries to make amends with Tom, he's confronted with number 51 -- "Slept with Ralph's Mom." As pressure mounts for Earl to save his friendship with Ralph and put together a reunion show for Phish Tahko, Earl realizes that partying like a rock star might be the only way he can get through the night. Nadine Velazquez, Eddie Steeples, Beth Grant, and Nancy Lenehan also star.


Episode 6 - Made a Lady Think I Was God

When Joy (Jaime Pressly) needs a restraining order lifted in order to improve her image for an upcoming trial, Earl (Jason Lee) decides to confront number 12 on his list - "Made a Lady Think I was God." In a mean-spirited attempt to have the manager of their trailer park, Millie Banks (guest star Roseanne Barr, "Roseanne") stop harassing them, Earl disguises himself as the voice of God and fools Millie into obeying his absurd commands. As Earl tries to erase Millie off his list, he finds that the once shrewd trailer park manager is gone and has transformed for the better. Eddie Steeples, Ethan Suplee, and Nadine Velazquez also star.


Episode 7 - Mailbox

Bored with her life, Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) offers to help Earl (Jason Lee) take care of number 75 on his list by cleaning out a mailbox that he once used as a trash can. Catalina discovers an undelivered letter stuck at the bottom, and Earl is determined to find its rightful owner. Turns out it's a long lost love letter from trailer park resident Will (Johnny Sneed) to his former gym co-worker Wendy (Jenny McCarthy). Earl agrees to keep an eye on Wendy while Will gets back into shape for her. Meanwhile, Joy (Jaime Pressly) kicks Darnell (Eddie Steeples) out after discovering he's in the witness protection program. Ethan Suplee also stars.


Episode 8 - Robbed a Stoner Blind

In the midst of a heat wave, Earl (Jason Lee) remembers number 26 on his list -- "Robbed a Stoner Blind." In his attempt to cross it off his list, Earl and Randy (Ethan Suplee) find Woody (guest star Christian Slater), the stoner they robbed, living an eco-friendly life in a commune. The only way Woody will let Earl cross him off his list is if Earl and Randy live an environmentally conscious life in the commune with him for a week. As Earl's newfound insight on the environment becomes more extreme, his new mission is to save the world from global warming. Jaime Pressly and Eddie Steeples also star.


Episode 9 - Born a Gamblin Man

Number 146 on his list has Earl (Jason Lee) making 247 bologna sandwiches to make up for all the ones he stole from Kenny (guest star Gregg Binkley) in fifth and sixth grade. While delivering the sandwiches, Earl is struck by Kenny's obvious lack of machismo which then inspires Earl to take on a new mission -- to make Kenny a real man. While showing Kenny how to gamble like "real men," Earl discovers that his newfound karma is useful but soon finds it difficult to stop once he's on a roll. Meanwhile, Randy (Ethan Suplee) plans how he will finally declare his love for Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) and Joy (Jaime Pressly) goes to group therapy to get over her anger management issues for her upcoming trial. Marlee Matlin, Jonathan Slavin, and Eddie Steeples also star.


Episode 10 - South of the Border, Part Uno

Part Uno -- After Earl (Jason Lee) accidentally gets Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) deported, Earl and Randy (Ethan Suplee) go on a full-fledged mission to get Catalina back. Earl's fear of flying stalls the process but nothing can stop Randy, a love-struck man, from getting to Catalina. As Earl and Randy get deeper into their plan to save Catalina, the obstacles they face make their mission more and more difficult. Meanwhile, the meds Joy (Jaime Pressly) takes calm her temper but the new pleasant Joy frustrates Darnell (Eddie Steeples). William Shallert, Ray Santiago, and Emilio Rivera guest star.


Episode 11 - South of the Border, Part Dos

Part Dos -- At the end of the first half of Earl (Jason Lee) and Randy's (Ethan Suplee) adventure to bring Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) back to America, gunmen had kidnapped Earl. While Earl befriends Diego (guest star John Leguizamo, "Carlito's Way," "Ice Age"), the fashion challenged criminal who takes him hostage, Randy encounters a married couple that use him to fill a void in their life. Despite whatever hurdles they encounter, nothing can keep Earl from scratching Catalina off his list or Randy from getting the love of his life back. Meanwhile, Darnell (Eddie Steeples) finds it difficult to cope with Joy's (Jaime Pressly) new happy attitude as their neighbors become more and more invasive. Emilio Rivera, Ray Santiago, and Louis T. Moyle guest star.


Episode 12 - Our 'Cops' Is On

It's the end of the week at the Crab Shack - the beer is finished, the food is finished, and everyone is bored. When "Cops" comes on, everybody notices it's the Camden County episode they were all featured in. Earl (Jason Lee), Randy (Ethan Suplee), Joy (Jaime Pressly), Darnell (Eddie Steeples), Patty the Daytime Hooker (Dale Dickey) and other Camden County residents relive that one eventful day when they all had a brush with the law - on television. Sunday at the Crab Shack takes a turn for the better as they all remember their fifteen minutes of fame.


Episode 13 - Buried Treasure

Earl isn't the only one narrating in this whodunit episode of "My Name is Earl." Earl (Jason Lee) is surprised to discover that some "treasure" he had once stolen has disappeared from where he buried it. Joy (Jaime Pressly), Darnell (Eddie Steeples), and Randy (Ethan Suplee) all take turns giving us their sides of the story as the true events begin to unfold. It's an episode full of intertwining stories as Earl tries to discover who stole his stolen "treasure" so he can cross it off his list.


Episode 14 - Kept a Guy Locked In a Truck

Earl (Jason Lee) hits a snag when trying to cross someone off his list when the guy he once locked in a truck turns up dead. In true Earl fashion, Earl does anything he can to make things right - even if that means throwing a funeral for someone he doesn't even know. The funeral that features all the regulars at the Crab Shack and some strippers is anything but traditional. Meanwhile, to make their marriage seem more authentic, Randy (Ethan Suplee) and Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) look for an apartment together. Eddie Steeples and Jaime Pressly also star.


Episode 15 - Foreign Exchange Student

As a young kid, Earl (Jason Lee) tortured a French foreign exchange student, Pierre (guest star Ernie Grunwald), and scared him back to France. In order to scratch number forty-four off his list, Earl decides to fly Pierre back to America and show him all the great things the country has to offer. Meanwhile, things heat up between Randy (Ethan Suplee) and Catalina (Nadine Velazquez) and their marriage is redefined -- but not in the way anyone would have ever guessed. Everyone learns more about the power of love and the mysterious ways in which it works. Jaime Pressly and Eddie Steeples also star.


Episode 16 - Blow

A bundle of "Joy" -- In preparation for the trial, Joy (Jaime Pressly) learns that she has a half sister she could possibly use to invoke sympathy from the jury, but her half sister turns out to be her lifelong mortal enemy, Liberty Washington (guest star Tamala Jones). Coincidentally, Liberty is also number 101 on Earl's (Jason Lee) list -- "Stole a girl's identity." As Earl tries to right his wrong and Joy deals with the shock of having a new half sister, Liberty works to get herself into a wrestling league. As families often do, the two women deal with their differences by wrestling them out of each other. This new episode also presents a major surprise for one of the characters. Ethan Suplee, Nadine Velazquez, and Eddie Steeples also star.


Episode 17 - The Birthday Party

I'll Cry If I Want To - It's a special episode as Earl (Jason Lee) celebrates his birthday. The day not only marks another exciting year in his life, but more importantly, it's also a time for Earl to reflect on all the items he's crossed off his list during the past year. When Randy throws Earl a birthday party at the Crab Shack, however, Earl finds it hard to remember the good things he's done when everybody at the party keeps reminding him of how he's screwed up in the past. Right when Earl thinks his day can't get any worse, everybody has a special birthday surprise in store for him. Nadine Velazquez, Jaime Pressly, and Eddie Steeples also star.


Episode 18 - Guess Who's Coming Out of Joy

Baby Blues: Beau Bridges and Montel Williams guest star - Joy's (Jaime Pressly) pregnancy reminds Earl (Jason Lee) of the time she was pregnant with their child, or what he thought was their child. During Earl's recollection of that troubling time in their marriage, he remembers how his father, Carl (guest star, Beau Bridges), pushed him to stay with Joy regardless of whose child he was going to be taking care of. Looking back on it, Earl realizes that staying with Joy and the kids was the first good thing he did before he ever made the list. Ethan Suplee and Eddie Steeples also star.


Episode 19 - Harassed a Reporter

Karma takes a stab at Randy. A late newscast reminds Earl (Jason Lee) of number 29 on his list - "Harassed a Reporter." As Earl and Randy work to cross it off of Earl's list, Randy realizes that after years of being in his brother's shadow he has had enough. In trying to separate himself from his brother, Randy realizes the true power of both karma and the media. Jaime Pressly, Eddie Steeples, and Nadine Velazquez also star.


Episode 20 - Two Balls Two Strikes

Tough Love; Norm MacDonald Guest Stars - After the unexpected death of Richard Chubby - the most powerful man in Camden - the crueler and meaner Little Chubby (guest star Norm MacDonald, "Saturday Night Live," "Billy Madison") comes back to town to take over the family business. As Earl (Jason Lee) works to scratch an item off his list, both Earl and Little Chubby learn the true meaning of sacrifice. Jaime Pressly, Eddie Steeples, Nadine Velazquez, and Ethan Suplee also star.


Episode 21 - GED

Facts of life - After Earl (Jason Lee) gets rejected when applying for a credit card for not having a high school diploma, a job, or a real place to live. He decides he needs to take some big steps towards finally growing up. When Earl returns to school to re-learn everything he needs to know to take his GED, he finds out how hard it is for teachers when they have to deal with students like the one he used to be when he was a kid.


Episode 22 - Get a Real Job

In this super-sized episode, Earl is faced with belated growing pains when he decides to get his first real job at an appliance store and his qualifications as a salesperson are questioned. Meanwhile, Joy (Jaime Pressly) makes yet another irrational decision when she dreads her upcoming trial. Eddie Steeples, Nadine Velazquez and Ethan Suplee also star.


Episode 23 - The Trial

Trial of the Century: Giovanni Ribisi, Christine Taylor, Marlee Matlin and Dog The Bounty Hunter guest-star - Earl (Jason Lee) has it all - a GED, a job, a new apartment - and now with his new, unlikely love interest, Earl is finally an adult. Nothing can stop Earl on his road to maturity...except, of course, Earl himself. Joy (Jaime Pressly), on the other hand, puts her future in the hands of the law as her trial for stealing a truck finally arrives. Earl commits the ultimate good deed to help Joy, but ends up sacrificing everything. It all comes down to this trial and Earl's shocking testimony. Ethan Suplee, Eddie Steeples, and Nadine Velazquez also star.
