Along the way Richard suffers an allergic reaction and Chris breaks something valuable.

Episode 2 - Paris

Richard Ayoade takes us hurtling through a ruthlessly efficient maxi mini-break in Paris. Joined by presenter and comedian Mel Giedroyc their base for the weekend is a chic left bank hotel famed for being the place where Oscar Wilde died. But with a tight schedule and many sights to pack in there's no time to hang about soaking up the literary atmosphere and so they get straight on with the business of cultural immersion. Shunning the Eiffel Tower with its long queues for the lifts they head to the Montparnasse Tower for an arguably better view of Paris, and one which has the bonus of including the Eiffel Tower.

Episode 3 - Copenhagen

Richard Ayoade applies his time efficient mantra on a minibreak in Copenhagen. He’s joined by Noel Fielding for 48 hours in the style conscious Danish capital. Cycling is big in Copenhagen so they join a bike tour to get their bearings and see as many sights as possible without wasting time to dismount. But not even they can keep up with the speedy tour guide. Together they dine on open sandwiches and stop for Danish pastries at the city’s oldest bakery. Drink comes in pint form at the Carlsberg brewery museum where they take part in gastronomic beer tasting.

Episode 4 - Moscow

Richard Ayoade and Greg Davies attempt to extract the essence of Moscow in just 48 hours. It’s a challenge which sees them clash with tanks in Red Square, head into space and underground, and visit one of the strangest circuses in the world. As time poor travellers Richard and Greg’s first port of call in the Russian capital is Red Square, often describes as the heart of all Russia. Awkwardly their appreciation of the Kremlin, St. Basils and Lenin’s tomb are rudely interrupted by rehearsals for the Russian Military Day of Honour parade.

Episode 5 - Seville

Richard is joined by comedian/actor/writer/Catastrophe star Rob Delany for two days in and, roughly speaking, around, the city of Seville in southern Spain. Together they explore Europe’s sunniest city, learn to dance flamenco, eat tapas and take a road trip to the Wild West. The results are fast, funny and strangely informative. In a time efficient triumph Rob and Richard manage to combine seeing the city and keeping fit by taking a running tour allowing them to swiftly bag some of Seville’s most seemly sights.

Episode 6 - Venice

Richard Ayoade is joined by Jo Brand for a fast, funny and ruthlessly efficient 48 hours in Venice. In just two days the pair learn to row a gondola, see the city’s most famous sights, trial an interactive tour, try the Venetian version of tapas, and explore the world of masks. In a city of amazing hotels none is more impressive than Hotel Danieli, formerly the lodgings of Lord Byron, Charles Dickens and Indiana Jones. For modern travellers being paddled around in a gondola is just not enough – they need involved. So Richard and Jo take a lesson at the city’s Gondola school, struggling to master this unique rowing style.

Episode 7 - Dubai

Richard Ayoade stretches the description of the mini break to the limit as he heads to the United Arab Emirates, and the oil rich city of Dubai. Joining him on this affront to austerity is actor and comedian Johnny Vegas. Richard is going all out for luxury by checking into the Atlantis Hotel, on the world's largest man-made island, The Palm. Johnny's suite has a wall to floor window onto the hotel's giant aquarium. Richard has to make do with the Grand Atlantis suite; it has five balconies and is yours for eight and a half thousand pounds a night.

Episode 8 - Berlin

Richard Ayoade heads to uber cool German capital Berlin with writer and comedian Roisin Conaty. Together they tour the city in a trabant, eat a 10 course meal, triumph in a vintage bowling alley, have a jam and experience life as it was in the East.
