Season 6 Episode Guide

Episode 1 - Brussels

Richard Ayoade returns to provide much-needed guidance and inspiration to would-be mini-breakers. This week Richard is joined by comedian Lee Mack for a funny, yet surprisingly informative, 48 hours in Brussels. Together they tear through a two-day to-do list packed with culture, comics, pralines, puppets and attractions both large and small.

Episode 2 - Oslo

Richard is joined by actor Fay Ripley for a wintry mini-break in Oslo. Together they pack two days with sledging, screaming, skiing, sculpture, and scoff. And despite being a proud half Norwegian, Richard manages to muster a scintilla of objectivity.

Episode 3 - Madeira

This week Richard Ayoade’s mini-breaking mate is comic actor and writer Robert Webb; the destination for ruthless examination, Madeira. Together they seek to discover more than the Portuguese island’s eponymous wine and cake, although both are sampled along the way.

Episode 4 - Cote D’Azur

Richard Ayoade is joined by comedian Shazia Mirza for a 2-day detour on the Cote D’Azur. In Nice they hire a three-wheeled Nice Car for a slow but scenic tour of the city, taking in the Promenade Des Anglais before heading to the hills to finish to scope the out Cap Ferat.

Episode 5 - 48 Hours in Hong Kong Christmas Special (Jon Hamm)

In an hour-long Xmas extravaganza, Richard Ayoade is joined by Hollywood phenomenon and star of Mad Men Jon Hamm for a yuletide yomp around Hong Kong, the most visited and most vertical city on the planet. They join some of the 26.7m tourists as they gorge themselves on questionable foodstuffs, traditional transportation, and the world’s largest seated Buddha statue.
