Season 5 Episode Guide
Episode 1 - Episode 1Pete and Jo return from their honeymoon in Australia. However their honeymoon is soon over when Pete's mum comes to live with them and Jo has to live with the memory of Jenny. Adam feels left out by Rachel's doting love for baby Matthew and finds it hard to love the baby himself which creates a rift between him and Rachel. David and Karen commence divorce proceedings. Mark returns to the scene. Ramona falls for swim instructor Lee and David agrees to pay for her membership of the health club in order to receive information about Karen. Ramona is caught in the middle. Pete's mum can't sleep and Jo introduces her to marijuana.

Episode 2 - Episode 2At the naming ceremony of Matthew Adam tells everyone he finds it hard to love his son. He and Rachel have a heart to heart. Furious that Karen is seeing Mark again, David instructs his lawyer to fight the divorce. Karen instructs her lawyer to seek sole residence for the children. Ramona plays hard to get with Lee. Pete and Jo are interviewed by Immigration Dept to confirm legitimacy of their marriage. Adam is made redundant & Rachel goes back to work. David goes to dinner with his lawyer - they end up in bed.

Episode 3 - Episode 3David continues to see his lawyer. Karen is furious when he stops her credit card. She goes away for the night with Mark but has to return when Josh has a minor accident. Mark finds it hard to accept the children. Adam finds it hard being a house husband and is jealous when Rachel tells him she has to go away on business. He has an interview for a job and is happy to return to work. At a meeting with the lawyers, David's lawyer brings up Karen's alcoholism - David is furious. Adam and Rachel are shocked to learn that their house is up for auction and financially out of their reach. Lee spends the night with Ramona. Doubts come into Pete's head about Jo's real reason for marrying him.

Episode 4 - Episode 4Unable to afford to buy their house Adam and Rachel go house hunting, but Rachel doesn't like anything and wants to stay in their house. Adam's father turns up out of the blue. Rachel admits to Adam that she wrote to him after the birth of baby Matthew. Jo goes away with work for the weekend and ends up in a situation with Lee which she confesses to Karen. Karen is shocked to learn of David's affair with Robyn. Adam finally makes it up with this father. Ramona moves in with Lee.

Episode 5 - Episode 5Adam's father offers to help Adam and Rachel buy their house. The auction is today. Adam arrives just in time. Then the biggest shocking event rocks them all - Rachel is in a car accident on her way to join Adam. They all spend the night at the hospital but Rachel does not recover. Adam cannot come to terms with her death. Jenny arrives unexpectedly at the funeral carrying more than herself. Adam's father returns to Ireland. Lee proposes to Ramona.

Episode 6 - Episode 6Karen finds it hard to cope without Rachel and seeks grief counselling. David also offers her support. She hints to Ramona that Lee might be unfaithful and Ramona discovers Jo slept with him - Ramona then takes it into her own hands and punches Jo. Adam asks everyone to join him to scatter Rachel's ashes at Portmeirion, a special place for her and Adam, meanwhile, David has to decide on the two women in his life - Karen or Robyn?
