Episode 1 - My OverkillIn the aftermath of Jordan (Christa Miller) revealing the truth about Turk's (Donald Faison) knowledge of Dr. Cox's (John C. McGinley) crush on Carla (Judy Reyes), Elliot's (Sarah Chalke) ongoing feelings for J.D. (Zach Braff), and Jordan and J.D.'s one-night stand - J.D.'s world is falling apart. Unnerved by the repercussions of Jordan's announcement, J.D. decides he must take action to salvage his relationships and those of his friends. J.D. confronts Elliot about their feelings for each other and does his best to appease Dr. Cox, although his reaction to the news is worse than J.D. had expected. Also, Carla and Turk are forced to deal with their trust issues. A performance of the hit "Overkill" by Colin Hay, previous member of the band Men at Work, highlights the episode. Ken Jenkins and Neil Flynn also star.

Episode 2 - My NightingaleJ.D. (Zach Braff), Turk (Donald Faison), and Eliot (Sarah Chalke) quickly become overwhelmed on their first night without the supervision of an attending physician when their newly established authority as residents turns out to be more work than they anticipated, forcing them to rely on Carla (Judy Reyes) and even the janitor (Neil Flynn) for assistance. Meanwhile, Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) begrudgingly acquiesces to Dr. Kelso's (Ken Jenkins) request that he introduce him at an awards ceremony, fueling Cox's resentment and resulting in a rather unusual presentation.

Episode 3 - My Case StudyWhen Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) challenges the residents by offering a trip to a medical conference in Reno as a reward to the individual that presents the most interesting cast study, J.D. (Zach Braff) refuses to play along, earning him the respect of Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley). However, when Elliot (Sarah Chalke) confronts him about the competition, he realizes that it was in fact his fear of failure rather than his rebellious nature that kept him out of the running. Following some awkward moments and harsh words, Elliot and Carla (Judy Reyes) learn they have more in common than the just their relationships with J.D. and Turk (Donald Faison), bringing them closer together. In the meantime, Turk misses his opportunity to ask for a new laser on the one day a year that Dr. Kelso grants favors so he is forced to find another way to come up with the goods. Neil Flynn also stars.

Episode 4 - My Big MouthJ.D. (Zach Braff) convinces Carla (Judy Reyes) to open up to him about her insecurities and her feelings toward Turk (Donald Faison) only to betray her confidence by sharing that information with Turk. Turk is thrilled when Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) selects him over his toughest competition, Bonnie (guest star Lela Lee), to represent Sacred Heart on a trip for the "Doctors Without Borders" program, however when he learns that the only reason Bonnie wasn't selected was because she was a girl, he reconsiders. Meanwhile, Elliot (Sarah Chalke) tries to score points with Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) by volunteering to deliver bad news to his patients on his behalf, but when she is forced to be the bearer of bad news repeatedly, she learns that there is a limit to how much she can take. Neil Flynn also stars.

Episode 5 - My New CoatJ.D. (Zach Braff) gets a reality-check when the white lab coat that he is allowed to wear as a resident does not bring the new level of respect he thought it would, and Elliot (Sarah Clarke) earns a reputation after her first one-night stand with another doctor. Meanwhile, Turk (Donald Faison) tries to fit-in with the surgical "boys club" and finds himself struggling with whether being part of the club is worth the price of admission. Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) teaches Carla (Judy Reyes) a lesson about surviving in medicine, by enrolling a patient into a clinical trial without approval. Ken Jenkins and Neil Flynn also star.

Episode 6 - My Big BrotherJ.D. (Zach Braff) gets a surprise visit from his ne'er-do-well brother Dan (guest star Tom Cavanagh, NBC's "Ed"), and becomes jealous when he and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) hit it off. Episode 7 - My First StepDr. Cox's (John C. McGinley) efforts to take a stand against the evil drug companies are thwarted by the seductive charm of pharmaceutical sales rep Julie Keaton (Heather Locklear). She takes advantage of the fact that Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) has assigned Dr. Cox to coordinate a dinner reception sponsored by the drug company to pursue Dr. Cox in other arenas. Elliot (Sarah Chalke) and J.D. (Zach Braff) disagree about who is the better doctor, but when Elliot disregards his advice about how to treat her patient and the patient dies, it is actually J.D. that learns a lesson about taking chances. Meanwhile, Turk (Donald Faison) tries to encourage Carla (Judy Reyes) to take her career to the next level by enrolling her in a nurse practitioner course. Neil Flynn also stars.

Episode 8 - My Fruit CupsDr. Cox's (John C. McGinley) relationship with pharmaceutical rep Julie Keaton (guest star Heather Locklear) is off to a good start when they wake up together, but when Jordan (guest star Christa Miller) shows up with a surprise, Cox if forced to choose between the new woman in his life and the ex-wife he can't get out of his life. Elsewhere, J.D. (Zach Braff) and Turk (Donald Faison) take advantage of the hospital's supply closet, while taking on extra shifts at a free clinic to supplement their income as residents and Carla (Judy Reyes) encourages Elliot (Sarah Chalke) to stand up to her father when he pressures her to pick a specialty more "suitable for a woman", especially when it will prove Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) wrong. Episode 9 - My Lucky DayJD (Zach Braff) is riding high after correcting a misdiagnosis by Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley), but is jerked back to reality when he is unable to explain the death of his next patient. Meanwhile Elliot (Sarah Chalke) is struggling personally and professionally as she is forced to relinquish all of the luxuries that her father had been financing -- including her apartment -- and a malpractice suit is brought against her by a patient (guest star Alan Ruck, "Spin City") for saving his life. Carla (Judy Reyes) learns that sometimes it is better to keep her opinions to herself when the fallout of a conversation with Dr. Cox about his relationship with his ex-wife lands Jordan (guest star Christa Miller) in the hospital. Donald Faison, Ken Jenkins and Neil Flynn also star.

Episode 10 - My MonsterDr. Cox (John C. McGinley) genuinely wants to make his relationship with Jordan (Christa Miller Lawrence) work, but he struggles to keep her happy as she deals with the discomforts associated with her pregnancy. Meanwhile J.D. (Zach Braff) attempts to end his romantic dry spell by going on a date with a girl from the hospital gift shop and Carla (Judy Reyes) grows frustrated with Turk (Donald Faison) because he no longer romances her the way he used to. Also, a very discouraged Elliot (Sarah Chalke) reluctantly takes JD up on his offer to move in with he and Turk after she is forced out of her apartment. Ken Jenkins and Neil Flynn also star.

Episode 11 - My Sex BuddyJ.D. (Zach Braff) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) continue to seek relief from their problems by sleeping together, but when things start to get a little out of control, Elliot proposes that they become "sex buddies", which seems at first to be the perfect solution. Elliot thinks she has a handle on things, but when Turk (Donald Faison) is forced to take the heat from Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) for her mistakes with one of their patients, he tries to lighten her load by suggesting that her patients switch to the care of other doctors. His good intentions put him at odds with both his friends and they are forced to reevaluate their "arrangement". Meanwhile, Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) accuses Carla (Judy Reyes) of making her relationships with her patients the priority over their well-being. Neil Flynn also stars.

Episode 12 - My New Old FriendJD (Zach Braff) wrestles with his feelings for Elliot (Sarah Chalke) and can't handle being "just friends" especially when Elliot needs a friend the most. Meanwhile, Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) and Carla (Judy Reyes) realize they are not as close as they used to be when they fail to read each other's signals while treating a hypochondriac patient. Donald Faison, Ken Jenkins and Neil Flynn also star.

Episode 13 - My PhilosophyTurk (Donald Faison) makes plans to propose to Carla (Judy Reyes), only to watch all his plans fall apart when one thing after the next prevents him from actually popping the question. Meanwhile, J.D. (Zach Braff) comforts a patient in need of a heart transplant by explaining his theory about the balance between life and death in the hospital. This theory is put to the ultimate test when a husband must choose between saving his unborn child and his wife's well-being. On another front, Elliot (Sarah Chalke) prevents Dr. Kelso from expanding his office space when she launches a campaign demanding that Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) build a separate female locker room. John C. McGinley and Neil Flynn also star.

Episode 14 - My Brother, My KeeperDr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) assigns J.D. (Zach Braff) to work on a patient with Dr.Townshend (Dick Van Dyke, "Diagnosis Murder") -- his longtime friend and colleague -- but things go downhill when Dr. Townshend insists on using his "old school" treatment method which proves to be an alien concept to an inept J.D. While Kelso defends his friend's technique, Dr. Townshend's lack of current medical knowledge forces Kelso to admit his mistake. Meanwhile, Carla (Judy Reyes) tells Turk (Donald Faison) she needs time to consider his proposal because she thinks he is still too immature, prompting Turk to invite his married brother (D.L. Hughley, "The Hughleys") for a visit to show Carla how seriously he is. In addition, Elliot (Sarah Chalke) learns the sex of Jordan's (guest star Christa Miller Lawrence) baby, but Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) and his ex-wife can't agree if they want to know.

Episode 15 - His StoryAt a bar, Carla (Judy Reyes) makes a decision on the right answer to Turk's (Donald Faison) proposal while Elliot (Sarah Chalke) thinks she has struck gold when she meets Paul (guest star Rick Schroder, "NYPD Blue"), a charming man whom she recognizes from the hospital and assumes is a fellow physician. However, the next day, she learns that he is a nurse, and she is forced to put her ego in check to give the relationship a chance. In the meantime, J.D. (Zach Braff) enjoys a rare day when everything goes right while Dr. Cox' (John C. McGinley) world is in chaos as he manages to alienate himself from all of his colleagues at the hospital. Ken Jenkins and Neil Flynn also star; Eric Bogosian ("Talk Radio") also guest-stars as a therapist.

Episode 16 - My KarmaElliot (Sarah Chalke) tries to keep up her perfect persona for her new boyfriend (guest star Rick Schroder, "NYPD Blue") for fear he won't like her if she tries just being herself. At the hospital, things misfire for Jordan (guest star Christa Miller Lawrence) and Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) when a miserably executed practice run of the baby's birth turns into the real thing -- and in the throes of labor, Jordan reveals the identity of the baby's father to J.D. Meanwhile, Turk (Donald Faison) and J.D. (Zach Braff) can't handle their guilt when they believe that one of the golf balls they hit off the hospital roof caused a car accident. Judy Reyes, Ken Jenkins and Neil Flynn also star.

Episode 17 - My Own Private Practice GuyWhile J.D. (Braff) struggles with whether to tell Dr. Cox the truth about the baby's paternity, he gains some valuable insight into Dr. Cox' (John C. McGinley) troubled mind and his relationship with Jordan (guest star Christa Miller Lawrence) when he meets Dr. Fisher (guest star Jay Mohr, "Mohr Sports"), a former student of Dr. Cox. When Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) prevents Turk (Donald Faison) from playing his pre-surgery basketball game, Turk retaliates by cutting the cord to Kelso's beloved Ms. Pac Man machine. Meanwhile, Carla (Judy Reyes) worries that she's lost her sex appeal since she got engaged and Elliot's (Sarah Chalke) lucky streak continues as she makes a new friend in the janitor (Neil Flynn). Jay Leno, host of NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," also guest-stars.

Episode 18 - My T.C.W.When J.D. (Zach Braff) starts getting flak from his friends about dating a woman (guest star Amy Smart, "Road Trip") who is visiting her comatose husband, he quickly becomes defensive. Elsewhere, Carla (Judy Reyes) and Turk (Donald Faison) fight over every little thing since they became engaged, Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) is jealous of all the attention Jordan (guest star Christa Miller Lawrence) gives the newborn baby and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) overreacts because she thinks Paul (guest star Rick Schroder) doesn't trust her. Neil Flynn and Ken Jenkins also star.

Episode 19 - My KingdomJ.D., (Zach Braff) begins a surgical rotation and in an attempt to lose his nerdy medical resident reputation he reveals a secret about Turk (Donald Faison) to get "in" with the rest of the surgeons. While his betrayal earns him a place at the surgical table, it may cost him a friendship. Meanwhile a miscommunication between Elliot (Sarah Chalke) and Paul (guest star Rick Schroder) leads to confusion about their true feelings for each other and Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) plays a "deadly" practical joke on Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins). Judy Reyes and Neil Flynn also star.

Meanwhile, Turk (Donald Faison) starts having steamy dreams about Elliot (Sarah Chalke) making things a bit uncomfortable, especially when Carla finds out (Judy Reyes) and Jordan (Christa Miller Lawrence) forces Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) to watch her still-to-be-named son and. Ken Jenkins also stars.

Episode 21 - My Drama QueenThe unexpected death of Carla's (Judy Reyes) mother causes her to second guess her wedding plans with Turk (Donald Faison). J.D. (Zach Braff) turns to Elliot (Sarah Chalke) for help when his romance with Jamie (guest star Amy Smart) begins to fizzle, and Dr. Kelso (Ken Jenkins) appoints Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) learns the truth about his relationship to Jordan's (guest star Christa Miller Lawrence) baby, but the truth may be more than he can handle.
