Episode 1 - Cake WeekThis year the series kicks off with cake week. First the bakers tackle a fruit cake, but being Bake Off, it’s not as simple as it sounds. Next, under the gingham cloth there are the ingredients for their first technical; creating a retro classic that demands precision and intricate decoration. Finally, a showstopper that takes the baker’s dozen back to their childhoods as they must create the birthday cake of their childhood dreams. It’s a great chance for the bakers to express themselves and give the judges a window into their personalities. Three challenges, three chances to win star baker, and as there are 13 one or two will be going home.

Episode 2 - Biscuit WeekIt’s week two and for our remaining bakers its crunch time with Biscuit week, kicking off with a luxurious chocolate-coated signature. Next, the bakers are taken on a nostalgia trip to make one of Paul’s Dad’s favourite snacks.. . Finally, an eye-catching showstopper designed to test whether the bakers will snap under pressure. Three challenges. Three chances to win star baker. Three chances to avoid leaving the tent…

Episode 3 - Bread WeekWeek three of The Great British Bake Off and it’s Bread Week. The remaining bakers have a lot to prove with three tough challenges, set by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith…There is a signature bake designed to be shared; a deceptively simple summer staple in the technical; and an ambitious showstopper that will test their steady hand and artistic flair. Only one can claim star baker… whilst one or two bakers will leave the tent for good.

Episode 4 - Dairy WeekIt’s dairy week on The Great British Bake Off and Prue and Paul have set three tricky challenges to test the remaining bakers. There is a decorative signature that involves a tricky turn-out, a complex technical that dates back to Henry VIII, and last but by no means least an intricate Showstopper that usually found at the centre of Indian weddings and celebrations. Which bakers will impress Prue and Paul enough to keep their place in the tent…and who will be heading home?

Episode 5 - The Roaring TwentiesIt’s week 5 and this week the judges are setting challenges all inspired by the roaring 20’s. There’s a signature that’s a decorative take on bake usually found in slapstick films, a technical that tests the baker’s timing and consistency and a tiered showstopper that’s a take on their favourite tipple. Three challenges. Three chances to win star baker. Three chances to avoid leaving the tent.

Episode 6 - Dessert WeekIt’s Dessert week, and Prue and Paul are looking for the bakers to produce the perfect finale to any meal. For the signature challenge the layers stack up in elegant and challenging bake. There’s a technical where success lies in delicate assembly and precise decoration. Finally a spherical celebration cake in the showstopper where the drama will be in the reveal. It’s past the half-way point in the competition, and the remaining bakers are starting to believe that they could win….

Episode 7 - Festival WeekWeek seven of The Great British Bake Off and for the bakers that remain, it’s Festival week. First up the bakers go global with a signature bake that takes inspiration from celebrations from around the world. Next there’s a deep fried Italian technical and finally a spectacular Indonesian celebration cake which puts the baker’s precision and creativity to the test. Who will keep their cool and win star baker? …And who will be meeting their end?

Episode 8 - Pastry WeekWeek eight of The Great British Bake Off and for the bakers that remain, it’s their knowledge of pastry that will be put to the test. The signature challenge is a savoury take on a French classic. Next it’s a multi-layered Moroccan technical and finally a towering Showstopper that tests the bakers understanding of pastry as well as structural engineering. With a place in the semi-final at stake, who will win the coveted star baker title... and who will leave the Bake Off tent?

Episode 9 - Semi FinalIt’s the Bake Off semi-final and it’s the perfect time to test the remaining baker's skills in patisserie. There’s delicate domed signature demands a perfect finish, the towering technical takes a croquembouche to the next level and finally, in the showstopper, the bakers must use all their skill to create an incredible edible display case. Only three bakers can make the final, one will be star baker and one will be going home.

Episode 10 - The FinalIt’s the final of The Great British Bake Off and for the last remaining bakers, the stakes couldn’t be higher as Paul and Prue set three challenges that will test every aspect of Baker’s skills. In a classic signature, the bakers have the chance to show if their chocolate cake is worthy of winning. The baker's skills with souffle are under the microscope in the technical. Finally, as their families gather outside, in the showstopper they must create a stunning visual illusion using only cake, sweet bread and biscuits 13 bakers started the competition, but after 10 weeks only one can be crowned the winner of The Great British Bake Off 2019.
